"One hundred thousand, don't you want it?" Zhang Ye shouted. 0

"Damn it, I told you to open it, so just open it. What are you waiting for?" Zhang Ye's Father said irritably, yelling at his son. 0

Zhang Ye clearly felt intimidated by his father, but he kept mumbling under his breath, deeply dissatisfied with the decisions made by his grandfather and father. 0

Wei Qiuxi stepped forward and cupped his hands in gratitude. "Thank you." He then pushed the coffin open, only to suddenly change his expression and exclaim, "Where's the God of Joy?" 0

"Inside!" Zhang Ye replied as he leaned closer. To his shock, the coffin was empty; there was no sign of the God of Joy! 0

"Where is the God of Joy?" Even with Wei Qiuxi's composure, he couldn't help but feel exasperated at this moment. 0

"It was definitely inside! Both Zhang Ye and I put it in ourselves. I remember the body being so heavy, almost a hundred kilograms. We struggled a lot to get it in," the middle-aged man scratched his head, looking confused. 0

"This is truly bizarre," Zhang Laosi murmured to himself. "I saw it being placed inside..." 0

"Are you sure?" 0

Zhang Ye puffed out his chest and said, "Are you doubting us?" 0

Wei Qiuxi thought to himself that although the Zhang family members were involved in some shady dealings, they didn't seem to be lying. 0

"Unless... unless..." 0

"Unless it really went to Six Deaths and Five Burials." 0

Wei Qiuxi pondered aloud, "Could it be that what you started with was true?" 0

Zhang Laosi said, "This is the real Boss of Corpse Driver Inn; it should be genuine." 0

Wei Qiuxi nodded and replied, "At this point, I might as well take a chance. Ning'er, let's head to Six Deaths and Five Burials." 0

Six Deaths and Five Burials was the largest cemetery in Guan Zhuang Town, where nearly everyone who died in the town was buried. Over the centuries, it had occupied several miles of mountainous terrain, with countless tombstones dotting the landscape. Because Six Deaths and Five Burials was situated in a valley, sunlight rarely penetrated, and numerous terrifying stories surrounded the area, making it particularly eerie. Except during Qingming and the Spring Festival, few dared to venture up the mountain. By the time Wei Qiuxi and his grandson arrived, it was already afternoon. The driver refused to take them up the mountain and left them at the foot. 0

Wei Qiuxi looked at the dense cluster of tombstones and murmured, "Strange." 0

Wei Ning asked, "What is it?" 0

Wei Qiuxi shook his head. "I don't know. I feel an odd sensation here, as if something unclean is present. But what could it be? Let's go up and search for our past God of Joy. However..." Wei Qiuxi sighed and fell silent as he led Wei Ning up the mountain. 0

The God of Joy had been buried for thirty or forty years; even those who buried it might not remember where. Wei Qiuxi wandered around the tombstones for a while but found nothing. As he watched the sun begin to set, anxiety crept into his heart. 0

Just then, a red shadow flashed in front of them, prompting Wei Qiuxi to quickly pull Wei Ning behind a tombstone. 0

At that moment, a dog sprang out from among the graves. It looked like a dog—having a body and ears like any other—but Wei Ning swore he would never see a more terrifying dog in his life. Its fur had completely fallen out, revealing its red skin beneath. One ear had been bitten off by someone or something and hung limply on its head. The dog's body was emaciated, with bones protruding sharply, yet its head was disproportionately large. Its canine teeth were bared, dripping with disgusting yellow goo. Even more horrifying were its red eyes that glinted with malice, as if it could snap a person's neck in one bite. 0

"It's a Demon Wolf. I can't believe such a creature exists here." Seeing the dog only strengthened Wei Qiuxi's conviction. 0

"What is a Demon Wolf?" Wei Ning asked, trembling slightly as he leaned closer to his grandfather. 0

"A very evil thing," Wei Qiuxi whispered. "It's my first encounter with one; it's said to be a guide from hell. It must have taken our God of Joy." 0

The Demon Wolf circled around a grave three times before suddenly letting out a sharp howl and began sniffing around frantically. It then dashed toward the spot where Wei Qiuxi was hiding. 0

"Oops, he has caught the scent of the living." Wei Qiuxi quickly took out a red umbrella from her bosom and opened it to shield the two of them. 0

The Demon Wolf paused, shook its head as if pondering something, then reluctantly barked a few times at Wei Qiuxi before running off. 0

"Follow me," Wei Qiuxi whispered, leading Wei Ning after her. 0

It was already dusk. On the grave mound, a long white cloth, which had been propped up by a bamboo pole at some point, fluttered in the wind like vengeful spirits. The grandfather and grandson followed behind the Demon Wolf when it suddenly turned around on one of the graves, stuck out its bright red tongue to lick the tombstone, and then disappeared behind the grave as if it had vanished. 0

"Chase!" Wei Qiuxi commanded softly and hurried to catch up. Suddenly, Wei Ning, who had fallen behind, yelped and tumbled to the ground. 0

Wei Qiuxi rushed over to help Wei Ning up, only to find that what had tripped him was actually a corner of a coffin. 0

She quickly wiped the dirt off the coffin. It was buried at an angle in the ground, with only a corner of the Coffin Lid exposed. Some symbols were carved on it using Yinwen. The coffin had been buried for who knows how long but showed no signs of decay. 0

"Raising corpses, raising corpses. I never expected someone would engage in such evil practices here. Don't they fear losing their lifespan or facing retribution?" 0

"What does raising corpses mean?" Wei Ning asked. 0

"It's a very, very wicked sorcery. I've only heard people mention it before; I never thought I would see it with my own eyes today. Ning'er, did you notice these characters?" Wei Qiuxi pointed at the Yinwen on the coffin lid. "This is the Corpse Controlling Pattern, inscribed by those who raise corpses to prevent them from going rogue." 0
