Every week is a battle. I hope this week's results are better. Thank you all for your support.

If the enormous Sand Table Model in this Valley was created by the Hakka People, although I find it hard to believe, there is a possibility. Tang Yumo would immediately understand what we are suspecting upon seeing the Sand Table Model on the Chessboard Stone.
This is not what I want to see; I do not want any variables to arise at this moment. Knowing that the layout of this Valley is connected to the Lop Nur Yadan Geomorphological Group is enough to strengthen my confidence in returning here.
As for whether these regularly arranged hills were constructed by the Hakka People, I decided to consult Cao Mingzhe first; he must know something. Asking him is easier than prying information from the Hakka People, and it is more trustworthy.
"Sister Tang comes to bid you farewell," Jack spoke first, as if he had become Tang Yumo's spokesperson.
I stood on the Chessboard Stone and looked down at him. "Do you know her?"
"Heh heh, just met her. Sister Tang is very beautiful and also very nice."
"Her name is Tang Yumo."
Jack, standing behind Tang Yumo, suddenly froze. Seeing Jack's follower-like demeanor, I realized he did not know that the Sister Tang he was following was named Tang Yumo.
The name Tang Yumo is one of the most frequently mentioned names among the Hakka People in his ears. The appearance of this name often accompanies terrifying events, distrust, and near-death experiences. This is still my impression of Jack regarding the events associated with this name. If Fatty had mentioned this name to him, then it would be equivalent to invoking a devil.
Tang Yumo did not look back at Jack, as if she already knew what his expression would be. In the silence, the mountain wind blew her long hair forward, the black strands obscuring her pale face, which was as white as porcelain. The stark contrast of black and white accentuated the warmth and radiance of her features.
"Yes, I won't accompany you across the river. Let's say our goodbyes here," Tang Yumo's voice was as ethereal and hollow as ever. It felt as though there was always a barrier between us and her voice, even though she stood right in front of me.
I nodded. Fatty stared at her with a serious expression, while only Xiao Ting smiled and approached.
"Sister Tangjia, you haven't come to see me in such a long time. I've missed you so much."
Were women really this hypocritical? Or were Fatty and I just overreacting?
If it had been before, back in the Underground Cavern, I would have thought Xiao Ting's warm greeting to Tang Yumo indicated a close friendship between two girls. But after everything that had happened, our understanding and distrust of Tang Yumo had deeply rooted itself in each of our hearts. Yet here they were, smiling at each other. I could only describe it as hypocrisy.
Fatty and I couldn't manage such a facade. I could suppress my emotions and maintain a neutral expression, but Fatty wore a scowl on his face. I imagined that if Tang Yumo were not a girl, Fatty's disdain would have already splattered across her face.
Tang Yumo reached out to grasp Xiao Ting's hand, linking arms with her in what appeared to be an intimate gesture.
"The clan leader has arranged for someone to meet you on the other side of the Beipan River. They will take you to the nearest village where there is a simple road. You can catch a ride there. The clan leader entrusted me with delivering this message and reminded me to inform Mr. Zhang about the agreement."
I said expressionlessly, "I remember our agreement."
My words sounded stiff. I sensed that Tang Yumo also noticed my lack of interest in engaging with her further. Fatty ’s gloomy face was filled with hostility, while Jack was still grappling with the fact that this beautiful Sister Tang was actually the devil, Tang.
Silence and confusion hung in the air, creating an awkward atmosphere.
In an attempt to break the deadlock, Tang Yumo forced a smile and said, "Although I’ve asked you once already, I want to confirm again before we part ways. Are you sure you didn’t bring anything from the Valley into the underground?"
I shrugged. "Yes. I’m sure."
Then I turned to Jack and snapped my fingers at him.
Jack finally seemed to snap out of his daze and looked up. "What’s going on? What are you talking about?"
Tang Yumo repeated her earlier question to him.
Jack's expression began to shift awkwardly as he frowned. "Does a specimen count?"
A sense of foreboding washed over me at his words.
Jack was bold enough. I had no idea what he had done during the time we were separated. If he had captured some creature and turned it into a specimen during that period, I would definitely be unaware. However, I had rummaged through his backpack and found no animal specimens inside.
I noticed Tang Yumo's eyebrows twitch slightly. Her brows were not the finely shaped ones typical of most girls; they were broader and almost formed a long straight line. It was quite noticeable when her eyebrows moved.
"What kind of specimen is it?" I could sense a change in Tang Yumo's tone, as if it had grown colder.
"A kind of orange-red bug that can fly and glows, really ugly," Jack recalled. "Zhang, do you remember? It's the group of bugs I led away."
I didn't respond to Jack but kept my gaze fixed on Tang Yumo. Her face had turned towards Jack, so I could only see her profile, but even from this angle, I noticed a hint of crimson on her cheeks.
This was definitely not the blush of embarrassment in front of handsome Jack; it seemed more like excitement or nervousness.
"Where is it now?"
Sure enough, Tang Yumo's next words came out with an uncontrollable stutter. It seemed to be a very serious question.
"It's in my backpack. Oh, it should have been lost in the Underground Cavern. Mr. Zhang knows where it was lost; the backpack was last in his hands. Sister Tang, what's wrong!"
With Jack's exclamation, I saw Tang Yumo's body tremble slightly, but she rejected Jack's outstretched hand. Her eyes slowly closed, as if she were trying to stabilize her emotions. At the same time, she raised a hand and made a gesture towards the two Hakka People below.
The two Hakka People had undoubtedly been watching us all along. At the moment Tang Yumo signaled them, they seemed almost frozen, as if confronted with something unimaginable.
We felt equally incredulous. Tang Yumo's behavior sent chills down my spine, as if something dangerous was about to happen. Fatty's expression suddenly changed; he quickly moved sideways to get around the Chessboard Stone in front of him. Clearly, his target was Tang Yumo.
When sensing danger, Fatty would not sit idly by. However, there was that massive Chessboard Stone between him and Tang Yumo; he couldn't jump over it and had to go around instead. After just two steps, sweat began to pour down his face as he gritted his teeth, his expression fierce. It seemed that these few quick movements had aggravated his injury.
I stood on the Chessboard Stone, unsure whether to take action against Tang Yumo. Frankly, my personality made it difficult for me to act against a girl. What made my decision even harder was the uncertainty of what would happen next. I believed that even if danger arose, it would be within our control.
Suddenly, Tang Yumo opened her eyes and repeated the gesture to the two Hakka People. This time, however, it was more decisive.
One of the Hakka People immediately turned around and made the same gesture towards the opposite bank of the Beipan River.
Fatty had already circled around the Chessboard Stone, and at the moment the Hakka Person made the gesture, he came to a halt.
It was too late. Not just for Fatty; I sensed that Jack realized this too, as we both turned our gazes toward the other side of the Beipan River. (To Be Continued...)
