I turned my head back and looked up at a 45-degree angle, then my mind and eyes coordinated as my gaze swept across the sky above me, landing directly in front of the boat. 0

I felt utterly drained, lacking even the strength to open my eyes, contemplating giving up rowing and surrendering to fate. Then I exploded. 0

"You idiots! Throw that thing overhead? Are you trying to get yourselves killed? That's just pure stupidity! And you!" I leaned forward, nearly shouting into Jack's ear. "If he's not smart enough, you're even more of an idiot! You see that thing above you and still decide to shoot? You took your sweet time aiming—what a way to court death!" 0

The light emitted by the White Phosphorus Fireworks was bright white. Jack didn't turn around, but his neck flushed red, the veins pulsing violently. He could only endure my harsh words because they had made an unforgivable and irreparable mistake. 0

Jack could endure it, but Fatty couldn't. He certainly knew what had happened; his earlier curses were not without reason. 0

"Can you blame me for this? I threw it in the right direction, but who could have guessed it would hit the Bat? Those creatures have ultrasonic positioning, right? The odds of this happening are lower than winning the jackpot in a lottery! Who do you think I am? Do you think I want to court death?" 0

"Damn it." I spat. This was just too bizarre; it felt like we had exhausted our luck. 0

Jack's marksmanship was quite accurate. I used that term because I believed my own marksmanship was just as good as his. 0

Most of his bullets should have hit their target. The White Phosphorus Incendiary Grenade not only detonated but shattered completely into tiny fragments. The White Phosphorus Residue spread out widely, more chaotic than a flower girl scattering petals—not from a single point but exploding from many points, turning into countless fireworks in the air. It was as if innumerable blossoms were blooming in the sky. 0

But the fireworks were right above us, and we were almost at the center of them. 0

I recalled that White Phosphorus Incendiary Grenades had been banned in modern warfare due to their danger and potency; they were nearly impossible to extinguish. Once contaminated with White Phosphorus Residue, it would quickly burn through skin, penetrating deep into muscle and even scorching bone until the residue was completely consumed. 0

But now, they were right above me. We were inevitably facing a baptism of White Phosphorus Fireworks rain, with no place to escape. Even though the ship was equipped with an engine, there was no way we could escape the coverage of the White Phosphorus firework rain. The area they spread over was too vast and too dense. 0

Of course, the danger we faced ahead had been alleviated; the fireworks created by the explosion of the White Phosphorus Incendiary Grenade first enveloped the Giant Bats charging toward us. There was a reason why Giant Bats feared flames: their flesh wings were coated with a layer of oil. While this provided insulation in the cold Underground Cavern, it made their wings excellent kindling in front of fire. 0

In mid-air, if a Giant Bat's flesh wing caught fire, the outcome was predictable. 0

Despite their strong detection abilities and powerful ultrasonic emissions that allowed them to avoid most obstacles, the rain of White Phosphorus Fireworks came too suddenly and too densely. As it fell, it continued to disperse into an even more fragmented light rain. 0

In the first wave of explosions from the White Phosphorus Incendiary Grenade, half of this group of Giant Bats suffered casualties. Countless Giant Bats fell like hit aircraft, trailing a scent of roasted meat as they plummeted—some straight down, others at angles—toward the Underground River. 0

In the river, Piranhas leaped out like a frenzy of starving demons, eagerly awaiting this Feast of Gluttony. 0

The light from the White Phosphorus fireworks illuminated two groups of the ugliest and most malevolent demons in the air and on the pavement, revealing their most terrifying sides. 0

Not far away on the pavement, I could hardly see the dark backs of the Piranhas; all I could make out were their white teeth, red eyes, and the scarlet river water. 0

Under the shroud of darkness, illuminated only by a few torches and the flashlight on the boat, we could hardly distinguish the dark backs of the Piranhas from the black waters of the Underground River. The murky red color of the river was more a matter of feeling and smell; I sensed it was a bloody red. 0

Now, everything was clear. The Piranhas, originally driven together by the Giant Bat, had gathered spontaneously, drawn by the scent of blood, making the water appear even dirtier and more gruesome. The group of Piranhas resembled demons lost in a bloodbath, growing increasingly frenzied. 0

One Piranha leaped from the pavement, lunging at the corpse and blood of the fallen Giant Bat. Clearly, it had acted too hastily; it did not find the feast it anticipated. Instead, it paid the ultimate price. As it fell from a great height, it landed on a row of sharp teeth, instantly losing a chunk of flesh and blood. The pain caused it to instinctively bounce back, but after a few desperate jumps on those white teeth, it fell down as nothing more than fish bones. 0

The first Giant Bat plunged into the Underground River, opening the curtain for the Feast of Gluttony. Like a meteor crashing to the ground, it sent up a circular splash made up of Piranhas, as if this Underground River were filled with countless Piranhas. 0

The agitated Piranhas no longer attracted attention from other fish; their focus was entirely on the Giant Bat continuously falling into the water. The river boiled like it was in turmoil, surging upwards with increasingly crimson murky blood, internal organs of the Giant Bat, and bones smeared with fresh meat. 0

The still-living Giant Bats seemed to be favored even more; they struggled in the water, writhing in severe pain from being torn apart. They darted through the pavement like torpedoes. However, this only heightened the excitement among the Piranhas and did nothing to alleviate their suffering. 0

I had given up rowing; I didn't want to waste my last bit of strength on this futile effort. Perhaps I was also stunned by the scene before me. I felt fortunate not to have fallen into their jaws; such a death would terrify even Fatty. 0

The speed of the White Phosphorus Fireworks falling was much slower than that of the Giant Bat struck by them. I could enjoy the fireworks while experiencing a sense of satisfaction from vengeance. They had pushed us to the brink, yet they had to die first. 0

I wasn't twisted enough to derive pleasure or beauty from witnessing a bloody scene of someone being torn apart, but knowing that my nemesis had been dealt with gave me a sense of relief as I exhaled a long-held breath of frustration. 0

The transition from the brightest White Phosphorus Fireworks to their dimming was brief. After that moment, the sky was empty except for the still-falling fireworks. The Overlord, who had been so arrogant in the Underground Cavern, was completely eliminated in a matter of moments. 0

I only knew that I was the first to stop rowing; as for who was last, I couldn't tell. But I could feel that the boat had come to a halt. 0

As I gazed at the approaching brilliant fireworks, I murmured, "It's Our Turn." (To Be Continued...) 0
