"Really?"
Zhao Dalang was very happy.
"Mm."
Old Man Zhou nodded, "Go back and tidy up. In a few days, we'll take care of it."
"Okay."
Zhao Dalang walked away excitedly.

"You make sense," Old Man Zhou agreed.
He decided to send all his sons to study.
Matchmaker Wang came out of the Zhou household, looking disdainful. "Tch, stingy."
She went to Su Xiawei's house.
"How did it go?" Su Xiawei asked.
"Nothing came of it," Matchmaker Wang shook her head. "The Zhou family doesn't want to spend a single coin; they want to marry a wife for free."
"What scum."
Su Xiawei was very angry.
"Miss, has your brother's wife been settled?" Matchmaker Wang asked.
"No, could you please help introduce someone?" Su Xiawei replied.
"I have a few young ladies in mind; I can bring them over in a few days for you to see," Matchmaker Wang suggested.
"That would be great, thank you." Su Xiawei smiled.
Matchmaker Wang took her generous reward and left happily.

Matchmaker Wang brought a few candidates, and Su Xiawei asked Su Da Bao to go meet them.
Su Da Bao was very shy and didn't dare to go.
"I'll go," Su Xiaoxiao volunteered, raising her hand.
"Alright," Su Xiawei nodded. "You take your brother with you."
"Okay!" Su Xiaoxiao nodded excitedly.
The two of them set out.
Su Xiawei watched their figures from the window, a smile playing at the corners of her mouth.
"Sister, what are you looking at?" the little one asked curiously.
"Nothing," Su Xiawei shook her head.

Su Da Bao and Su Xiaoxiao met a young woman who was a widow, twenty years old, average-looking but with a very good temperament.
After Su Xiaoxiao reported back to Su Xiawei, she decided to let Su Da Bao see her for himself.
Su Da Bao and Qin Qing hit it off well.
Su Xiawei prepared a generous betrothal gift and went to the Qin Family to propose.
The Qin Family quickly agreed.
A month later, Su Da Bao married Qin Qing.
The villagers were all invited to celebrate with drinks, and the scene was very lively.
"Have some candy," Su Xiaoxiao said as she handed out sweets to a group of children.
She wore a pink dress, with a jade hairpin glimmering in the sunlight. She was beautiful and kind, and many young men in the village admired her.
As Su Xiaoxiao was preparing to head back, she noticed Zhou Cuiping, whose face was twisted with resentment.
"Xiaoxiao Jie," Zhou Cuiping said, dressed in tattered linen clothes, her hair sparse on her head.
"Zhou Cuiping?" Su Xiaoxiao frowned slightly. "Are you here to add makeup for my brother?"
"No," Zhou Cuiping replied, jealousy evident in her gaze. Once, Su Xiaoxiao had been just like her, a servant, but now Su Xiaoxiao looked as beautiful as a celestial being.
Zhou Cuiping felt a deep hatred. She suddenly knocked over the tray, sending candies scattering across the ground.
"What are you doing?" Su Xiaoxiao snapped.
"My hand slipped," Zhou Cuiping said with a smug smile. "Su Xiaoxiao, if I'm not doing well, you shouldn't expect to do well either."
Not wanting to ruin her sister-in-law's wedding, Su Xiaoxiao grabbed Zhou Cuiping by the hair and dragged her to the riverbank, kicking her into the water.
"Ah—!" Zhou Cuiping screamed as she flailed about, realizing the water only reached her waist.
"Su Xiaoxiao, you wretched girl!" Zhou Cuiping shouted in embarrassment.
Su Xiaoxiao ignored her and went back home.
That evening, Su Xiawei was sleeping next to the youngest son of the Qin family. The child slept soundly, and Su Xiawei couldn't help but pinch his nose playfully.
"Big sister, I'm here too," Su Xiaoxiao said as she hugged a pillow and lay down on the other side.
"Okay," Su Xiawei smiled.
The three of them slept soundly through the night. The next morning, Su Xiawei woke up to a delightful aroma filling the air.
"Little sister, you're awake?"
The Qin smiled and said, "Go wash up quickly; breakfast is ready."
"Okay."
Su Xiawei felt a bit embarrassed, as if she were a wealthy landowner.
On the third day, Su Da Bao went to town to sell pork. He was concerned for his sister and didn’t let her cook, waking up early to prepare the meals before leaving.
Su Xiawei also stopped teaching Su Xiaoxiao martial arts and instead taught her some other skills.

Zhou Cuiping wanted to raise money for her seven brothers, so she went back to the mountain to look for ganoderma. Confidently, she took the largest and best one to sell in town.
"How much is this?"
Zhou Cuiping asked the shopkeeper, looking at him expectantly.
"This wild mushroom is quite big," the shopkeeper scoffed lightly. "You might as well keep it for yourself."
"What do you mean?" Zhou Cuiping was furious. "This is ganoderma; take a good look!"
"This is mountain produce from our area. How much do you want to buy?" the shopkeeper retorted.
"Are you blind?" Zhou Cuiping exclaimed in exasperation. "This is ganoderma!"
"Stop making a fuss," the shopkeeper said irritably. "Waiter, throw her out."
"Yes, sir."
The waiter approached with a broom to shoo her away.
"I can leave on my own!" Zhou Cuiping stormed out angrily.
