Liu Yuan was pondering her future plans when Beibei, the little darling, walked in holding a toy. The little one resembled Liu Yuan closely, like a porcelain doll, utterly adorable. 0

She scampered over to Liu Yuan, clutching her toy, and looked up at her with wide eyes. "Mommy, what's wrong?" 0

Liu Yuan snapped back to reality and gazed at Beibei, feeling a warm sensation in her heart. Although the original owner was gone, she didn't feel lonely in this world because of Beibei. 0

She reached out, lifted the little one into her lap, and said, "It's nothing. Mommy is just thinking." 0

Beibei nodded, as if she understood, then leaned in and kissed Liu Yuan on the cheek. "Mommy, I love you." 0

Liu Yuan was momentarily taken aback but then smiled and returned the affection with a kiss on Beibei's cheek. "Mommy loves you too." 0

Beibei beamed with joy and ran off with her toy. 0

Watching the little one's retreating figure brought a smile to Liu Yuan's face. She decided to take care of her own matters first. 0

Opening the drawer, she pulled out several jewelry boxes that had been tucked away inside. The original owner had purchased quite a few pieces of jewelry, many of which had never been worn. 0

Liu Yuan selected a few pieces that she wouldn't typically wear, took some photos, and posted them online. The jewelry was relatively expensive since it had been bought by the original owner, so the prices were not low either. 0

Liu Yuan initially thought it would take time to sell them, but within a day, inquiries started coming in. She set a reasonable price, and soon enough, someone was willing to buy. 0

After receiving the payment, she promptly shipped out the jewelry. With this money in hand, she no longer had to worry about her living expenses for the time being. 0

Next, she began preparing to open a store. Having previously worked in design, she decided to open a clothing store. She chose a location in the city center; although the rent was a bit high, she didn't mind. 0

Once the store was decorated and ready, she hired two staff members. With everything set up, her clothing store officially opened its doors. However, on the first day of business, sales were not particularly good. 0

But Liu Yuan was not in a hurry. 0

Her shop had a great location and unique decor, so as long as people came in, they would definitely make a purchase. Sure enough, it wasn't long before customers started to arrive. As more and more people entered, business gradually improved. Eventually, the staff became overwhelmed, and Liu Yuan had to hire another employee. Even so, the store often found itself busy. 0

A year later, Liu Yuan's clothing store had opened three branches. She was no longer just selling clothes; she had also started designing her own. Two years later, her clothing store had developed into a chain brand. Liu Yuan was busier than ever. 0

Rarely finding free time, she decided to take Beibei out for a stroll. Beibei was already four years old and growing cuter by the day, with delicate features like a doll. Hearing that they were going out to play, Beibei prepared herself early. 0

As soon as Liu Yuan got up, Beibei rushed over. 0

“Mommy, hurry up!” Beibei exclaimed, holding a hat and eager to put it on her head. 0

Liu Yuan walked over, took the hat from her, and helped Beibei put it on. “So impatient!” 0

Beibei nodded eagerly. “I want to go out and play.” 0

Liu Yuan smiled. “Alright then, let’s go.” 0

She took Beibei's hand and walked to the door, squatting down to redo Beibei's hair. Beibei inherited her mother's long black hair, which was also curly and reminiscent of a Barbie doll. 0

Liu Yuan styled Beibei's hair into a bun and placed the hat on top. She looked around and nodded in satisfaction. “All set, let’s go.” 0

Beibei grabbed Liu Yuan's hand and bounced outside with joy. It was the weekend, and the streets were bustling with people. Liu Yuan took Beibei to the city center. 0
In the city center, there was a Children's Playground that Beibei had been wanting to visit for a long time. Liu Yuan took Beibei to the mall, bought tickets, and let her go in to play while she sat on a bench outside, waiting. 0

Inside the mall, many parents were accompanying their children as they played. Liu Yuan watched the kids and felt her heart soften. Beibei was growing more and more like her original self, with delicate features and fair skin that resembled a ripe peach. Seeing Beibei so happy warmed Liu Yuan's heart, and she wished for Beibei to always be this joyful. 0

After playing for a while, Beibei came out of the playground and ran up to Liu Yuan, tilting her little head up at her. "Mommy, I want to eat a Candy Figure," she said. 0

Liu Yuan turned her head and noticed a stall selling Candy Figures not far away. She patted Beibei's head and replied, "Okay, you can go choose." 0

Beibei happily ran over to the stall, gazing at the various Candy Figures, momentarily overwhelmed by the choices. The vendor was an elderly man who smiled when he saw Beibei's excitement. "Little friend, just take whichever one you like," he said. 0

Beibei looked up at the old man and asked sweetly, "Grandpa, can I have this one?" She pointed to a rabbit-shaped Candy Figure. 0

The old man chuckled warmly. "Of course you can." He picked up the Candy Figure and handed it to Beibei. 0

Beibei took the Candy Figure and sweetly said thank you before running back to Liu Yuan's side. Liu Yuan looked at the Candy Figure in Beibei's hands and smiled. "Isn't it cute?" 0

Beibei nodded vigorously. "Mm!" 0

Liu Yuan chuckled, took out her phone, and made the payment. After putting her phone away, she said to Beibei, "Let's go." 0

Holding her Candy Figure, Beibei licked it happily as she followed Liu Yuan forward. They strolled around for a bit longer, bought some things, and then headed home. 0

Meanwhile, Zhang Wen had just exited the supermarket and was preparing to go home when she unexpectedly spotted Liu Yuan and Beibei. Noticing the Candy Figure in Beibei's hand, she frowned slightly. 0

Liu Yuan and Beibei had already walked far away. Zhang Wen thought for a moment, then took out her phone and snapped a picture. 0

She looked at Beibei's face in the photo, squinting slightly. 0

When Zhang Wen returned home, she found Chen Yan sitting on the sofa reading a book. She walked over, sat down across from him, and placed her phone in front of him with a smile. "Cousin, guess who I saw today?" 0

Chen Yan didn’t look up. "Who?" 0

"Liu Yuan." Zhang Wen leaned in closer. "And there was a little girl, about three or four years old, really cute." 0

Chen Yan turned a page in his book and replied nonchalantly, "Is that so?" 0

Zhang Wen nodded eagerly. "Yeah, and I think that little girl looks a bit familiar." She pointed to the photo. "Look, doesn’t she resemble you?" 0

Chen Yan glanced at the direction of her finger. In the photo, Beibei was happily licking a Candy Figure. He took a quick look and then returned his gaze to his book. "There are plenty of people in the world who look alike." 0

Zhang Wen pouted. "I just find it a bit strange. Liu Yuan left only a little over three years ago; how could she have such a big child..." 0

Suddenly, her eyes widened. "Could it be...?" 0

Chen Yan lifted his eyelids to glance at her. "What?" 0

Zhang Wen hesitated before asking, "That child... could she be yours?" 0

Chen Yan frowned. "What nonsense are you talking about?" 0

Zhang Wen quickly waved her hands. "I'm not being ridiculous; I really think so." She looked at Chen Yan earnestly. "Think about it—when Liu Yuan left, you two weren’t divorced yet. She could have been pregnant." 0

Chen Yan's expression remained impassive. "Impossible." 0

Zhang Wen wanted to say more, but Chen Yan had already stood up and grabbed his car keys. "I'm heading out; do you want to come with me?" 0

Zhang Wen shook her head. "No thanks, I have things to do this afternoon." 0

Chen Yan nodded slightly. "Alright." 0

With that, he turned and walked out the door. 0
