Jonas watched as Raymond's emotions spiraled out of control, his heartbeat quickening with each passing moment. The last thread of hope in his heart was gradually consumed by despair; this former comrade was no longer the Raymond he once knew. The black Worm seemed to have completely taken over his mind, transforming him into a monster. 0

Jonas took a deep breath, his fingers gently resting on the trigger. He knew this was the only choice. 0

"I'm sorry, Raymond," he whispered, a flicker of reluctance and pain crossing his eyes before he decisively pulled the trigger. 0

Bang! 0

The bullet shot through the air, piercing straight into Raymond's body. Black liquid erupted from Raymond's chest like a fountain, blood mingling with an unknown dark substance, splattering against the walls. Yet, Raymond did not fall; instead, at the moment the bullet penetrated, he let out a deep, furious roar as if he felt no pain at all. 0

"You traitor!" Raymond bellowed, his voice low and piercing, filled with uncontrollable rage. The bullet seemed to inflict no real harm; rather, it ignited the most primal fury within him. His once-human eyes were now veiled in deep crimson veins, and the tentacles on his chest writhed wildly, swelling with anger and exuding an ominous threat. 0

"Do you think this can stop me?!" Raymond's tone dripped with disdain and madness, his mouth twisting into a grotesque smile as he curled up in the corner like a beast poised to pounce. 0

Seeing this scene, Jonas felt a tightness in his chest. The bullet had no effect on Raymond! He had thought it would calm him down slightly, but the reality was entirely the opposite. Raymond had become a completely unhinged monster, filled with vengeful fury. 0

"Raymond!" Jonas tried to call out, but it was already too late. 0

Raymond's legs pushed off violently from the corner, lunging toward him like lightning from the ceiling. Jonas barely had time to react; he instinctively stepped back while keeping his gun aimed at Raymond. However, those tentacles lashed out at him like whips; Raymond moved with unbelievable speed. Just as Jonas prepared to shoot, he realized that Raymond was already upon him like the wind. 0

Bang! Bang! Bang! The rapid gunfire echoed through the cave as bullets flew toward Raymond's body once more, but he seemed completely immune to pain. Black blood flowed from him like a stream but could not halt his frenzied assault. 0

"You are doomed, Jonas! You should join us and become a true strong one!" Raymond's roar reverberated in the darkness, his voice growing deeper like that of a wild beast. 0

Raymond's tentacles lashed out violently at Jonas, striking the gun from his hands and sending it crashing to the ground. Jonas was forced to stumble backward, a sharp pain radiating from his arm, but he knew he couldn't stop; he had to think of a way to fight back quickly. 0

"You don't understand at all!" Raymond's voice echoed through the cave, filled with frenzied anger and the thrill of revenge. "The Black Rope Deity has granted me power—this is a strength you will never comprehend!" 0

Raymond's body twisted uncontrollably, the tentacles writhing madly from his chest. He roared, his eyes ablaze with madness and fury. Jonas could feel that dark power gradually consuming Raymond's soul, transforming him into a monster. He realized that the person before him was no longer the comrade he once knew, but a terrifying entity controlled by a parasite. 0

"Jonas, you can't escape! You were chosen long ago!" Raymond shouted wildly, his voice hoarse and piercing like a curse from the depths of hell. 0

Jonas gripped the small knife tightly in his hand, cold sweat beading on his forehead. He knew he couldn't engage in a prolonged fight with Raymond; the tentacles were likely tainted with countless black Worms, and any contact could lead to instant infection. But he had no other choice—the gun was lost, and this knife was all he had left for defense. 0

Raymond let out a maniacal scream and lunged at Jonas. The bone-like tentacles whipped down like whips, slicing through the air with a deadly intent. Jonas's pupils dilated as he quickly sidestepped, narrowly avoiding the lethal strike. The tentacles crashed into the ground, sending shards of rock flying; Raymond's strength nearly shook the earth beneath them. 0

"You can't escape, Jonas!" Raymond's voice twisted further, his gaze burning with endless rage and resentment. 0

Jonas calmly assessed the out-of-control monster before him, his mind racing to devise a plan. He knew time was running out. Every encounter with Raymond could be fatal; he needed to end this battle swiftly and escape this bizarre cave. 0

"Raymond, wake up!" Jonas shouted, trying to reach out to his former comrade with the last remnants of reason. But the Raymond before him had already fallen into a deep abyss of madness, completely deaf to any words. 0

"Wake up? Do you think I'm still that weakling from before?!" Raymond cackled wildly as he lunged forward, bone-like tentacles sweeping toward Jonas's head like blades. Jonas quickly crouched down, skillfully dodging the deadly strike before swiftly rolling away to create distance between them. 0

Jonas knew he couldn't confront Raymond head-on; his only chance lay in using speed and agility to end this fight quickly. His gaze locked onto Raymond's vulnerable spot—the only weakness exposed between the writhing tentacles. 0

"This is my only chance," Jonas silently told himself. 0

He charged forward quickly, and seeing this, Raymond wildly swung his tentacles again, aiming to take Jonas down. However, Jonas was more agile than he had anticipated. Taking advantage of the opening after Raymond's attack, he suddenly ducked and dodged the tentacles, maneuvering to Raymond's side. 0

"Now's my chance!" Jonas didn't hesitate; he raised the small knife in his hand, aimed for the exposed soft spot on Raymond's body, and thrust it down with all his might. 0

"Ah!" Raymond let out a painful roar as black liquid gushed from the wound, but his twisted body showed no signs of stopping. He screamed madly, and the tentacles lunged toward Jonas once more. 0

Jonas knew he couldn't linger any longer. He quickly withdrew the knife and rolled backward, narrowly avoiding the attack from the tentacles. Breathing heavily, sweat dripped from his forehead, and his body felt stiff from the intense tension. He sensed his stamina rapidly depleting, but he couldn't afford to stop. 0

"I have to get out of here!" A warning bell rang in Jonas's mind as he gripped the knife tightly, watching Raymond warily. Though injured, that strange power still fueled Raymond's movements. His eyes burned with frenzied rage, and his hatred for Jonas had reached its peak. 0

"You can't escape!" Raymond lunged at Jonas again, his roar echoing in the dark cave. 0

Jonas understood that time was running out. He had to find an opportunity to end this battle once and for all or be consumed. 0
