Sela woke up and, although she didn't remember the encounter in the forest on the surface, deep down in her heart, there was a lingering sense of unease. Her days at the academy became restless, often dreaming of vague dark visions and mysterious magical duels. These fragmented images were enough to drive her to develop new curiosity and suspicion towards Garys.
At the same time, a secret investigation team led by Elven discovered some key information in the historical records of Guilas. They found some magical documents left by Guilas, which contained hidden secrets of the intertwining of the magical realm and the human world, as well as a startling fact that might involve Garys.
Elven is becoming more and more convinced that Garys is not what he appears to be on the surface. He decides to conduct a more in-depth investigation personally. On a dark and windy night, Elven secretly follows Garys, hoping to catch a moment when his true identity is revealed.
Garys senses that he is being followed and cautiously enters a secluded library, which houses the oldest spellbook collection in the academy. Elven follows closely, observing from the shadows. He sees Garys wandering among the bookshelves, seemingly searching for a specific book.
Suddenly, Garys stopped in his tracks and pulled out a dimly glowing ancient book from a hidden corner. As he opened the book, the text on the pages seemed to shimmer with an unusual light. Elven held his breath, feeling a powerful surge of magical energy emanating from the book.
Garys began to chant softly, and the air around him seemed to vibrate with his incantations. Elven felt a sense of oppression, realizing that he might be caught in an unknown magical ritual. He decided to act, stepping out from the shadows and launching a direct attack on Garys.
Garys was startled by the sudden attack, but quickly reacted by casting a protective barrier to defend against Elven's attack. Their magic collided in the air, emitting a dazzling light and a tremendous sound.
"Headmaster, why are you treating me like this?" Garys said, looking puzzled while remaining cautious.
Elven lowered his attacking stance and looked at Garys seriously, his tone revealing unquestionable seriousness. " Garys, I have to confirm your true identity. This book, and the power you have shown, far exceed what an ordinary student should have."
Garys fell silent for a moment, understanding that concealing the truth was no longer possible. He decided to partially reveal the truth. "Headmaster Elven, I have indeed concealed some things. But please believe me, my purpose here is not malicious. I am only seeking a way to lift a curse that an ancient demon king placed on our family."
Elven frowned in thought, unable to fully believe Garys' words, but also realizing that if Garys truly had evil intentions, he would have had the opportunity to harm the academy long ago. "A curse? Is it about the curse of Guilas?"
Garys was surprised that Elven knew so much and nodded slightly. "Yes, Headmaster. I must admit, Guilas and I have an inseparable connection."
"So, why didn't you just come to me for help instead of choosing to hide?" Elven's voice carried a hint of disappointment.
"Because I'm not sure if I can trust anyone, especially when my true identity is enough to put the entire academy in danger," Garys replied with a sense of resignation.
Elven took a deep breath and decided to give Garys a chance, "I will conduct an investigation, and if what you say is true, the academy will assist you in lifting the curse. But before that, you must fully disclose your actions."
Garys nodded gratefully, "Thank you very much for your understanding and support, Dean Elven. I will provide all the necessary information."
After the conversation between the two came to an end, Elven left the library with a mix of emotions in his heart. He not only needed to deal with Garys's issues, but also ensure the safety of the entire academy was not compromised.
Meanwhile, Garys remained alone in the library, realizing that the ancient book in his hand seemed to be the key to unraveling the mystery of the Headmaster of Magic's pursuit. He knew the road ahead would be difficult, but now there was a glimmer of hope, and perhaps one day he could graduate alongside Arya.
As the semester comes to an end and the winter break approaches, the atmosphere at the Magic Academy becomes relaxed and cheerful. Arya, Garys, Logan, and Selena held a small farewell ceremony in the central square of the academy. Everyone was busy preparing for the holiday, but before parting ways, they decided to come together again to review the bits and pieces of the past few months.
"This semester has been truly amazing. Every magic practice, every competition, I felt incredibly excited," Logan said, his eyes shining with anticipation of meeting again.
Selena smiled gently, her voice filled with tenderness, "Yes, we have experienced many challenges together and celebrated every victory together. Thank you for making my first semester so unforgettable."
Arya turned her gaze to Garys and smiled slightly, "Garys, although you are always so mysterious, you are undoubtedly the strongest shield in our team. With you around, we always feel at ease."
Garys responded with a smile, gratitude shining in his deep eyes, "I am also grateful to you, Arya, Logan, Selena. Fighting and growing together with you is the most precious experience of my life."
As soon as the words fell, the four of them embraced and wept, not only because of the sorrow of temporary separation, but also for the deep friendship established during this time.
