"Is your mom very strict?" Chen Yan asked gently, looking at the child in front of him. 0
Beibei nodded, "A little strict." 0
Chen Yan continued with a soft tone, "Actually, your mom isn't really strict; she just doesn't want you to misbehave." 0
Beibei nodded again, "I know." 0
Chen Yan gently patted the child's head, "That's good to know." 0

Beibei's room wasn't large, but it was cozy and well-decorated. The last time Chen Yan visited, there weren't many toys in the room. However, this time, there were many more toys scattered around. Chen Yan finally understood why Liu Yuan didn't want the child to have too many toys; having too many could indeed be overwhelming. He thought he should buy more books for the child next time. 0

Beibei was busy playing with her new toy when Chen Yan asked, "Do you need help from Dad?" 0
Beibei shook her head, "No, I can do it myself." 0
Chen Yan smiled and sat down on the edge of her bed, "Then how about I tell you a story?" 0
Beibei looked up at him, "A story?" 0
Chen Yan nodded, "Yes." 0
Beibei responded eagerly, "Okay!" 0
Chen Yan pondered for a moment, "What story should I tell?" 0
Beibei replied, "Anything." 0
After thinking for a bit, Chen Yan said, "How about the story of the Farmer and the Snake?" 0
Beibei looked at him curiously, "The Farmer and the Snake?" 0
Chen Yan nodded again, "Yes." 0
Beibei's eyes brightened as she said, "I've heard that story before." 0
Chen Yan looked at her and smiled, "That's alright; I can tell it to you again." 0
Beibei replied enthusiastically, "Sure!" 0

Chen Yan slowly began, "Once upon a time, there was a farmer who, on his way home, found a frozen snake. Feeling pity for the creature, he picked it up and placed it in his bosom. However, when the snake woke up, it bit him. The farmer was furious; he couldn't believe that after saving the snake, it would bite him in return. He immediately threw the snake to the ground, but by then, he was already poisoned. He felt sad because he knew he was about to die. He regretted saving the snake, but there was no way to undo his actions." 0

As the story concluded, Chen Yan looked at the child. "You've heard this story before, right?" 0

Beibei nodded. "Yes." 0

Chen Yan continued to gaze at her. "What did you learn from this story?" 0

Beibei thought for a moment and replied, "The story tells us not to save bad people because if you help them, they won't be grateful; instead, they will harm you." 0

Chen Yan patted her head. "That's right, Beibei. You understood well." 0

Beibei looked at him. "Mm-hmm." 0

Chen Yan added, "So this story also warns us not to trust others easily." 0

Beibei asked curiously, "Not to trust others easily?" 0

Chen Yan nodded. "Yes." 0

Beibei inquired further, "Why not?" 0

Chen Yan explained, "Because some people may seem nice on the surface but actually have ill intentions." 0

Beibei pondered this and asked, "How can we tell?" 0

Chen Yan replied, "You need to observe with your own eyes and feel with your own heart." 0

Beibei nodded slightly as if she understood. "I got it." 0

Chen Yan smiled. "Good girl." 0

Outside the door, Liu Yuan listened to their conversation in disbelief. This guy is talking about such things with a child so young; can she even understand? 0

She turned and entered the room. 0

Chen Yan looked at Liu Yuan. "What's wrong?" 0

Liu Yuan responded, "Why are you telling her these things when she's still so young?" 0

Chen Yan replied, "Education should start from a young age." 0

Liu Yuan rolled her eyes at him. "She won't understand what you're saying anyway." 0

Chen Yan countered, "It's fine to say it now." 0

Liu Yuan shrugged dismissively. "Do as you please." 0

Chen Yan glanced at the time; it was getting late. He stood up and looked at Liu Yuan. "I'm heading back now." 0

Liu Yuan nodded in response. 0

Chen Yan walked over to Beibei and gently patted her head. "Beibei, Daddy is leaving." 0

Beibei looked up at him. "Goodbye, Daddy." 0

Chen Yan smiled. "Goodbye." 0

He left, and Liu Yuan closed the door behind him. 0

Beibei turned to her mother. "Mommy, do I get to go to kindergarten tomorrow?" 0

Liu Yuan looked at her. "Yes." 0

Beibei jumped up with excitement. "That's great!" 0

Liu Yuan observed her. "You really want to go to kindergarten?" 0

Beibei nodded enthusiastically. 0

Liu Yuan asked, puzzled, "Why?" 0

Beibei replied, "I want to play with my friends." 0

Liu Yuan continued, "But you can play with your friends at home too." 0

Beibei shook her head. "But I want to go to kindergarten." 0

Liu Yuan sighed in resignation. "Alright then." 0

Beibei looked at her mother with hopeful eyes. "Mommy, can I sleep with you tonight?" 0

Liu Yuan asked, "Why?" 0

Beibei answered earnestly, "Because I want to sleep with Mommy." 0

Liu Yuan smiled softly. "Okay then." 0

Beibei joyfully hugged her mother. "Thank you, Mommy!" 0

Liu Yuan chuckled lightly. "You're welcome." 0

Later that night, after Liu Yuan finished washing up, she lay down in bed. Beibei snuggled into her arms, playing with her phone. 0

Liu Yuan looked at her child. "Beibei, put down your phone and go to sleep." 0

Beibei looked back at her. "Mom, I can't sleep." 0

Liu Yuan asked, "Why can't you sleep?" 0

Beibei replied, "Because I'm so excited and looking forward to tomorrow." 0

Liu Yuan raised an eyebrow. "Excited about what? Looking forward to what?" 0

Beibei's eyes sparkled. "I'm excited because I'm going to kindergarten tomorrow! I can't wait for life in kindergarten." 0

Liu Yuan sighed. "You really are something, aren't you?" 0

Beibei nodded earnestly. "I am." 0

Liu Yuan shook her head in disbelief. "Just go to sleep." 0

Beibei insisted, "I can't sleep." 0

Liu Yuan suggested, "If you can't sleep, just close your eyes." 0

Beibei responded with a simple, "Oh," and closed her eyes. 0

A few minutes later, she opened them again. 0

Liu Yuan frowned. "Didn't I tell you to close your eyes? Why are they open again?" 0

Beibei sighed. "Mom, I still can't sleep." 0

Liu Yuan tried again. "If you can't sleep, just close your eyes and don't think about anything else." 0

Beibei looked troubled. "But I can't help it." 0

Liu Yuan was at a loss. "Then count sheep." 0

Beibei tilted her head. "Count sheep?" 0

Liu Yuan nodded. "Yes." 0

Beibei asked curiously, "How do I count?" 0

Liu Yuan demonstrated. "One sheep, two sheep, three sheep..." 0

Beibei mimicked her mother. "One sheep, two sheep, three sheep..." 0

Liu Yuan smiled gently. "Alright, now close your eyes and go to sleep." 0

Beibei looked at her and said, "Hmm." She closed her eyes again. This time, she did not open them again. 0

Liu Yuan gazed at the child, a smile spreading across her face. She gently stroked the child's forehead, her heart filled with tenderness. She wished for the child to always be this happy and joyful. 0

The next morning, Liu Yuan woke up early and went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. Beibei was still asleep, and Liu Yuan chose not to wake her. She knew that the child had gone to bed late the night before, so she wanted her to sleep a little longer. 0

By the time Liu Yuan finished making breakfast, it was already seven-thirty. She went to Beibei's room and called out to her, "Beibei, it's time to get up." 0

Beibei opened her eyes and looked at her mother. "Mommy, good morning." 0

Liu Yuan smiled back. "Good morning! Hurry up and get ready for breakfast." 0

Beibei nodded. "Okay." She got out of bed and went to the bathroom to wash up. After finishing, she headed to the living room. 0

Liu Yuan had already prepared breakfast. Beibei sat down and began to eat. 0

After breakfast, Liu Yuan took Beibei to kindergarten. When they arrived at the entrance, Beibei got out of the car. 0

Chen Yan looked at the child and said, "Beibei, can Daddy come to drop you off on Monday instead?" 0

Beibei looked at him and replied, "Okay." 0

Chen Yan patted the child's head gently. "Good girl, go on in now." 0

Beibei looked back at him and said, "Goodbye, Daddy." 0

Chen Yan smiled. "Goodbye." 0

Beibei went inside, and Liu Yuan looked at Chen Yan. "Are you coming on Monday?" 0

Chen Yan met her gaze. "What's wrong? Is that not okay?" 0

Liu Yuan replied, "You're so busy; there's no need for you to make this trip." 0

Chen Yan shook his head. "I'm not busy." 0

Liu Yuan rolled her eyes at him. "Who are you trying to fool?" 0

Chen Yan smiled. "Alright, you should hurry to work. I'm leaving now." 0

Liu Yuan nodded. "Okay." 0

Chen Yan got into his car and drove away. 0

Liu Yuan also got into her car and left. 0

That evening, Liu Yuan received a transfer notification. 0

It was from Chen Yan. 0

Thirty million. 0

Liu Yuan stared at the thirty million, feeling a surge of happiness inside her. 0

This money was enough for her to do many things. 0

She deposited the money into Beibei's account, waiting for Beibei to grow up before using it. 0

The next morning, Beibei woke up early. 0

Liu Yuan looked at her child. "Beibei, why are you up so early today?" 0

Beibei replied, "Because I'm going to kindergarten." 0

Liu Yuan responded, "You don't need to wake up this early just to go to kindergarten, do you?" 0

Beibei insisted, "I want to get to kindergarten quickly." 0

Liu Yuan sighed in resignation. "Alright, let's have breakfast." 0

Beibei nodded eagerly. "Okay." 0
