Standing before you now is a couple of demons: a husband who murdered, dismembered, and even consumed the eyes of his victims, and a wife who assisted in covering up the crime scene. Li Pingping was known for her beauty skills.
No one could have imagined that this person was once seen by the world as a "good husband" and a "nice guy."
In a fit of envy and jealousy over something someone else possessed, he became enraged, his eyes turning bloodshot, fists clenched tightly as if he wanted to condense all his hatred into his fists. He then went on to kill four Fallen Women in succession, crazily dismembering them.
His wife, Dong Meirong, was filled with fear at the thought of losing her only source of support. The idea that if her husband were caught, their family would lose its income left her anxious about how she and their child would survive. Gritting her teeth, she ultimately chose to help him.
What exactly happened?

Incident Occurrence: April 8, 2003.
Incident Location: Capital City.
On this day, a scavenger was rummaging through a pile of garbage at the foot of Xiangshan Mountain as usual, looking for anything valuable. Suddenly, his hand brushed against something unusual. Looking down, he was horrified to see a female corpse with its lower body mangled beyond recognition. His face turned pale instantly, his legs weakened as he nearly fainted. Trembling, he hurriedly took out his phone to call the police.
The police quickly arrived at the scene, and forensic experts examined the body with grave expressions. They discovered that the murderer was extremely brutal; not only had he tightly strangled the woman until she lost consciousness, but he had also taken out a weapon and viciously cut off her Uterus.
Given the skillful method of execution, it was likely not the first time he had committed such an act. However, after searching through recent records, the police found no missing persons or criminal cases related to this incident. The officers furrowed their brows in deep thought.
To make matters worse, identifying the victim posed another challenge for the police because she was a Fallen Woman with a wide circle of acquaintances. She might be meeting one person today and chatting with another tomorrow without any fixed workplace, making it impossible to trace her relationships based on available clues.
With only the existing evidence and no further crimes committed by the murderer, finding him would be no easy task. The officers looked troubled and were at a loss for what to do next.
Just when the police felt helpless, in June 2003, they suddenly received reports of two more women missing.
Shockingly, both missing persons shared similar backgrounds; they worked at a local Famous Club and dressed flamboyantly for work but vanished without a trace.
The police suspected that these two missing cases might be connected to the previously discovered corpse at Xiangshan Mountain—indicating that all three cases could potentially be the work of the same individual.
Through detailed investigations into the phone records of all three women, the police quickly discovered that they had all communicated with the same number.
Upon investigation, it was found that the owner of the phone number was Li Pingping, a taxi driver.
Was this a coincidence or was there another reason behind it?
The officers exchanged glances, each seeing confusion reflected in the other's eyes.
Soon after, the police began an undercover investigation into Li Pingping.
However, the results revealed that although he had a somewhat introverted and reclusive personality, often keeping to himself and merely nodding in greeting when meeting others, he was honest and straightforward. Every day, aside from driving his taxi, he would return home to sleep, handing over every penny he earned to his wife without fail. He was responsive to her needs and appeared to be a good husband; neighbors spoke highly of him.
In the eyes of his neighbors, he was also very filial towards his parents. They often saw him helping the elderly take walks, and he doted on his son, always ensuring he had the best food and toys. He had never been in conflict with anyone and was considered a typical good person.
Given such a character, it was hard for anyone to believe he could be a deranged and perverse monster. When rumors of suspicion arose, people shook their heads in disbelief.
Nonetheless, to dispel any doubts, the police decided to visit Li Pingping's home.
To their surprise, after conducting their investigation, the officers immediately sensed something was off. Their expressions sharpened as they discovered not only traces of blood on the walls and in the wardrobe of Li Pingping's home—bright red spots that were particularly eye-catching—but also a large number of women's accessories scattered carelessly around the corners, including necklaces and bracelets.
What shocked them even more was that when confronted with their suspicions, Li Pingping readily admitted to being the murderer. There was no hint of guilt or fear on his face as he casually stated that the missing women had been dismembered and now lay as bones. His eyes conveyed a chilling indifference as he spoke.
Even more terrifying was Li Pingping's confession that between November 2002 and June 2003, he had killed four Fallen Women. After killing three of them, he had gruesomely gouged out their eyes to eat them. Just imagining such a scene sent shivers down one's spine; he had even fed their kidneys to dogs, treating those lost lives as mere objects to be manipulated at will.
Based on the locations where he claimed to have buried the bodies, the police mobilized and carefully excavated at those sites, ultimately uncovering three corpses.
Although the heads of the deceased had severely decomposed and emitted a foul odor, it was still possible to discern that they had been screaming for help in their final moments; their terrified expressions seemed forever frozen in time.
What could have driven an apparently honest taxi driver to commit such cruel and perverse acts?
It turned out that during one of his crimes, Li Pingping brought a woman home with intentions to harm her. As she struggled desperately, he found it difficult to subdue her alone and called for his wife Dong Meirong to assist him.
Dong Meirong was terrified; her hands trembled uncontrollably. Yet instead of stopping her husband, she thought about how their family would fall apart if he were caught. In an unimaginable act of complicity, she bit her lip and helped him restrain the woman so that he could carry out his heinous deed without interruption.
Thus, Dong Meirong became an accomplice in her husband's murders.
A month later, Li Pingping brought home another woman. This time, Dong Meirong silently watched from the side, hesitating for a moment before gritting her teeth and expressionlessly handing her husband a cleaver, her eyes filled with helplessness and despair.
In April 2003, Li Pingping planned to bring someone home again, but unexpectedly, this Fallen Woman was unwilling to comply, crying and struggling fiercely.
As a result, Li Pingping's face twisted in anger, his eyes filled with malice. In a fit of rage, he killed her midway and discarded her body like trash in a heap at the foot of Xiangshan Mountain.
In just six months, Li Pingping had murdered four Fallen Women.
It wasn't until June 2003 that the police received multiple reports of missing women, leading to the exposure of this demon's heinous acts.
With Li Pingping's arrest, the police were shocked to discover that this was not his first crime.
Back in May 1995, he had blamed the manager Song for his dismissal from a health company and harbored resentment against him. Under the cover of night, clutching a sharp knife, he stealthily broke into Song's home. Before anyone inside could react, he violently killed Song and his family of three, filling the house with screams and the stench of blood.
In other words, over eight years, Li Pingping cruelly took seven innocent lives.
Not long after, Li Pingping was sentenced to death, while his wife Dong Meirong was sentenced to 15 years in prison for harboring him.
On June 16, 2004, Li Pingping was taken to the execution ground to face his death sentence, ending his life of crime and providing some closure for those lost lives.
