Beibei was excited and full of anticipation on her first day of kindergarten. She woke up early, packed her backpack by herself, and sat on the sofa waiting for her mom.
Liu Yuan got up and saw that her child was already ready. She returned to her room to wash up.
According to Beibei's instructions, Chen Yan arrived early.
Liu Yuan opened the door and felt a bit embarrassed upon seeing him. She hadn't washed up yet; her hair was messy, and her complexion wasn't great.
Chen Yan looked at her and asked, "What's wrong?"
Liu Yuan replied, "Nothing, you can come in."

Liu Yuan remained silent.
Chen Yan urged her, "You should hurry and wash up."
Liu Yuan nodded in agreement.
She went to the bathroom, and after washing up, she came out.
Chen Yan was waiting for her at the dining table. Liu Yuan walked over and sat down. The two of them ate breakfast in silence, neither saying a word.
Beibei watched them quietly.
After finishing breakfast, Beibei slung her little backpack over her shoulder and announced, "Mommy, Daddy, I'm ready!"
Liu Yuan looked at her and asked, "Beibei, did you pack everything?"
Beibei nodded confidently. "I packed everything."

The three of them went out together.

When they reached the car, Chen Yan opened the door, "Get in."
Beibei climbed into the car first, followed by Liu Yuan.

He started the car and drove away.

Liu Yuan got into her car and drove away.
Chen Yan watched the car disappear from sight before turning to leave.

The store was busy, with many customers.

Liu Yuan said, "Beibei is already asleep."
Chen Yan replied, "Then I'll come back tomorrow."

Chen Yan added, "Make sure to rest early."
Liu Yuan acknowledged him with a nod. "Mm."
Chen Yan turned and left.
Liu Yuan closed the door and leaned against it, taking a deep breath.
Her emotions were somewhat complicated.
The next day, Chen Yan arrived early.
Beibei looked at him and said, "Daddy, you're here."
Chen Yan replied, "Yes."
Beibei asked, "Where are you taking me to play today?"
Chen Yan responded, "Where do you want to go?"
After thinking for a moment, Beibei said, "I want to go to the amusement park."
Chen Yan smiled and said, "Alright, I'll take you to the amusement park."
Beibei was thrilled. "Thank you, Dad Chen!"
Chen Yan chuckled softly. "You're welcome."
He took Beibei to the amusement park, and they spent the entire day having fun.
In the evening, he brought Beibei back home.
Liu Yuan looked at him and said, "You must be tired today."
Chen Yan replied, "Not at all."
Liu Yuan asked, "Have you eaten?"

Liu Yuan said, "Then I'll go make dinner."
Chen Yan replied, "No need, I'll eat at home."

Chen Yan turned and walked away.
Liu Yuan watched his back, feeling a bit uneasy.
Days passed by one after another.
Beibei spent every day in kindergarten.
Liu Yuan and Chen Yan took turns picking her up. Beibei was very happy, sharing her daily experiences with her parents. Liu Yuan listened to her words, a smile spreading across his face.
In the blink of an eye, six months had passed. Beibei had adapted to life in kindergarten and made many friends. Meanwhile, Liu Yuan and Chen Yan's work became increasingly busy. Beibei spent her days at home, feeling quite bored. She wanted her mother to play with her, but her mother was always too busy. Beibei felt disappointed.
One day, Chen Yan came home. Beibei looked at him and asked, "Dad, can you take me out to play?" Chen Yan replied, "Of course." Beibei beamed at him, "Thank you, Dad!" Chen Yan smiled back, "You're welcome."
Chen Yan took Beibei to the mall. She gazed at the toys with immense joy. Chen Yan encouraged her, "Take whatever you like." Beibei looked up at him, "Really?" Chen Yan nodded, "Yes."
Excitedly, Beibei began to choose. After selecting a few toys she liked, she turned to Chen Yan and said, "Dad, I'm done picking!" Chen Yan responded with a nod. He paid for the toys while Beibei held them tightly, laughing happily.
Chen Yan then asked her, "Where else do you want to go?" Beibei thought for a moment and said, "I want to go eat ice cream."
Chen Yan looked at her and said, "Alright, I'll take you." He took Beibei to get ice cream. Beibei enjoyed it very much. Chen Yan asked her, "Are you full?" Beibei replied, "I'm full." Chen Yan then said, "Let's go home." Beibei responded, "Okay." Chen Yan took Beibei back home.

In the evening, Liu Yuan returned. Beibei looked at her and said, "Mom, you're back." Liu Yuan replied, "Mm." Beibei continued, "Mom, I went out to play with Dad today." Liu Yuan responded with an "Oh." Beibei then asked, "Mom, why didn't you play with me?" Liu Yuan answered, "Mom was busy." Beibei looked at her and said, "Mom, can you not be so busy?" Liu Yuan replied, "If Mom isn't busy, how can she earn money to support you?" Beibei said, "But I want you to play with me." Liu Yuan assured her, "Beibei, I will definitely play with you when I have time." Beibei asked, "When will you have time?" Liu Yuan replied, "Very soon." Beibei sighed and said, "Alright."
