"Miss, what brings you here?" He looked at me in surprise. 0

"I came to inspect the Stable and thought I would check on you as well." 0

I reached out to feel his forehead. It was still warm. 0

He lowered his gaze, long and thick eyelashes casting a shadow over his eyes. 0

"Miss, don't worry. I'm feeling much better." 0

"Zhi Xia, go get some water," I instructed. 0

Zhi Xia complied and left the room. 0

He sat on the bed, quietly taking his medicine, occasionally coughing softly. 0

I watched him in silence. 0

"Miss, thank you," he said, looking up and giving me a faint smile. 0

The smile was pure and innocent. 0

I turned my head away awkwardly. "I'm just showing concern for my subordinate as a Miss." 0

"I understand," he replied with a smile. "I'll recover soon; I still need to help you with your horse." 0

After Tang Mufeng recovered, I arranged a reunion scene. 0

At the horse ranch, Wanyi wore a bright red Western dress and rode a chestnut horse. 0

She looked graceful and spirited. 0

"Zhi Xia, Wanyi looks stunning in that outfit," I exclaimed. 0

"Yes, Miss. Tang Mufeng will surely be attracted to you," Zhi Xia replied. 0

However, that boy Tang Mufeng showed no reaction at all. 0

He kept his gaze straight ahead, following behind the horse without saying a word. I was getting anxious. 0

“Tang Mufeng, go lead the horse,” I commanded. 0

“Miss, that’s not appropriate,” he frowned. 0

“I said to lead the horse.” 0

“Miss, do you want me to lead the horse?” 0

I nodded, “Yes.” 0

With a sigh of resignation, he took the reins. Another servant, seeing this, hurried to follow suit. I shot him a glare, “You go away and let Tang Mufeng handle it.” The servant left in disappointment. 0

Tang Mufeng walked alongside Wanyi. From a distance, one was clad in bright red and the other in deep indigo; they looked quite compatible. Unfortunately, it wasn’t long before Wanyi fell off the horse. 0

She clutched her leg and cried out, “It hurts so much! Is my leg broken?” 0

Tang Mufeng picked her up and started walking back to the manor. 0

As she cried and pounded on his back, she exclaimed, “It’s all your fault! Why didn’t you warn me there was a fence ahead?” 0

“I moved the fence for you; why don’t you thank me?” he retorted. 0

“Then why didn’t you tell me there was a fence?” 0

“You kicked me first and now you blame me?” He was getting angry. 0

“It was you who pulled me!” 0

Their bickering gave me a headache. I stepped in to stop them, “What on earth is going on?” 0

"Miss, he deliberately led the horse towards the fence, causing me to fall. It hurts so much!" 0

Wanyi cried, her tears flowing like rain. 0

Tang Mufeng remained expressionless. "You clearly kicked me first, which startled the horse into running." 0

I was left speechless. 0

These two were like sworn enemies from a past life, arguing as soon as they met. 0

I took Wanyi back and gently comforted her, " Wanyi, don't cry. I will take care of this for you." 0

She finally stopped crying, looking at me with tear-filled eyes. "Miss, my leg hurts." 0

I ordered someone to bring a plate of fruit. "Eating some fruit will help ease the pain." 0

Wanyi simply stared at me in silence. 0

Returning to my chamber, I was puzzled. 0

The original story didn't mention them being at odds like this. Moreover, Tang Mufeng should have been infatuated with Wanyi at first sight. How did it turn out like this? 0

I asked Zhi Xia, "What do you think is going on with them?" 0

Zhi Xia pondered for a moment. "Miss, do you think Wanyi might look down on Tang Mufeng?" 0

"Huh? Why?" 0

"Tang Mufeng is just a stable boy." 0

That statement jolted me awake. Right, Tang Mufeng was still just a stable boy at this point. 0

In the original story, Tang Mufeng became an officer in the General's Mansion at nineteen and had always been by Wanyi's side. They grew up together, innocent and carefree. But now, Tang Mufeng was only eighteen and still just a stable boy. 0

Wanyi just learned some poetry, literature, and etiquette from me; she probably looks down on a mere stable hand. 0
