The nightclub was the most popular entertainment venue in the city. Here, there were not only singers but also male dancers. I ordered several young and handsome male dancers from the club and then announced to everyone, "Tonight's theme is how to win a girl's heart."
Everyone was taken aback.
Tang Mufeng looked confused and asked, "Miss, what does this mean?"
I cleared my throat lightly. "You don't need to worry about that; just listen."
He pursed his lips and said, "Oh."
I continued, "My request is for you to teach him how to make a girl happy."
The male dancers exchanged glances.
One of them asked, "Miss, could you be more specific?"
I pointed at Tang Mufeng. "Just think about it as if he were your girlfriend. What would you do?"
Tang Mufeng's expression changed. He looked at me, his beautiful eyes filled with grievance. "Miss, do you think I can't win your heart?"
I was speechless.
You're the male lead; of course, I want you to win the female lead's heart.
I patted his shoulder. "Just study hard. Once you've learned well, you'll be able to get along with Wanyi."
Upon hearing this, the grievance on Tang Mufeng's face vanished completely. He asked, "Is it for Wanyi?"
"Yes."
He smiled. "I see now."
His smile was light and joyful, as if a weight had been lifted off his shoulders.
"Bring me some paper and a pen," he told the dancers.
He sat there, listening intently to the techniques being taught by the dancers, diligently taking notes. Whenever he encountered something he didn't understand, he humbly sought advice and was able to integrate everything he learned.
I looked at his serious expression and couldn't help but feel a surge of emotion.
If I had a husband like this, I wouldn't have anything to worry about.
...
The night grew late. The dancers had all become too tired and had gone to rest. I was drowsy, but Tang Mufeng was still full of energy. He didn't want to leave yet. "Miss, they haven't finished teaching yet."
I yawned. "I can't take it anymore; I can't learn any longer."
He frowned. "But..."
"Listen to me," I said as I stood up. "Let's go back."
"Yes," he replied with a bow.
On the way back, I sat in the rickshaw, feeling sleepy. My head bobbed slightly. At some point, I found myself leaning against Tang Mufeng's shoulder. He raised his hand to adjust my head, making it more comfortable for me to lean on him.
In the dim light of the night, he stared at me blankly, lifting his hand as if he wanted to brush my hair aside. His hand hovered near my cheek for a moment before he let it drop.
I groggily opened my eyes and saw his slightly flushed face. "Miss, I will definitely make you happy," he said softly.
When I woke up, I found myself lying in bed. Four or five maidservants surrounded me, some bringing me water and others fetching my clothes.
I was speechless.
The feeling of being served hand and foot is truly delightful.
After finishing breakfast, I took my maid out for a walk.
As we reached the pond, I spotted Wanyi and Tang Mufeng from a distance.
Wanyi was talking to Tang Mufeng, who had his head lowered, his expression soft and shy—completely different from the cold detachment he had shown towards Wanyi before.
My eyes lit up instantly!
I rubbed my hands together, unable to contain my excitement. It seemed my matchmaking efforts were finally paying off.
Overwhelmed with joy, I hid nearby and listened in openly.
" Wanyi, this is for you," Tang Mufeng said as he handed her a flower.
Wanyi accepted it and politely replied, "Thank you."
My heart raced with excitement. Oh my goodness, he actually gave her a gift!
