"Get down here right now!" I gritted my teeth. 0

"Yes," Tang Mufeng replied slowly, still wearing that calm, unhurried expression. 0

My anger flared even more. 0

"Come on, hurry up!" I urged him. 0

"Yes, Miss." Tang Mufeng finally dropped the playful demeanor and stepped in front of me, his expression serious. "Are you ready?" 0

"Ready for what?" I asked, confused. 0

"Ready to embrace a new life," Tang Mufeng smiled. "You promised me last night; you wouldn't go back on your word, would you?" 0

I fell silent. 0

I had indeed promised him, but that was when I was drunk. 0

Seeing my hesitation, the smile on Tang Mufeng's face gradually faded. 0

"Have you really changed your mind?" he asked softly. 0

"No," I sighed. "I just feel it's too fast; I'm not ready yet..." 0

"Then let me help you," Tang Mufeng said firmly. 0

"What do you want to do?" I asked warily. 0

Tang Mufeng chuckled. "Don't worry; I won't force you. It's just that the entire Northwest Army knows I'm yours now. If you don't want me, I'll have no choice but to join the Northwest Army." 0

I was speechless. 0

Why did I feel there was a hint of cunning in his smile? 0

"But rest assured," Tang Mufeng continued, "I haven't actually joined the Northwest Army." 0

"What do you mean?" I asked, puzzled. 0

"I have an agreement with Cao Peng. If you don't change your mind within three days, I'll go back to the General's Mansion to find you," Tang Mufeng explained. 0

So that's how it is. 0

I let out a sigh of relief. 0

"You all just know how to scheme against me..." I felt a wave of frustration wash over me again. 0

"Miss, Miss." Tang Mufeng gazed at me, a hint of hurt flashing in his eyes. "If I can't even fight for the person I like, then what kind of man am I?" 0

I was left speechless by his question. 0

"Please don't be angry." Tang Mufeng softened his tone and said quietly, "Even if you reject me, I will find a way to win your heart back." 0

I stared at him in a daze. 0

His gaze was passionate and persistent, like a burning flame. 0

"You..." I couldn't help but ask, "How old are you this year?" 0

"I'm eighteen," Tang Mufeng replied. 0

Eighteen? I was shocked. 0

Although I had always called him "little one," he wasn't really small; he was just a bit shorter than me. I had thought he must be in his early twenties, but it turned out he was only eighteen... 0

"You're so young, how could you possibly like someone?" I couldn't help but tease. 0

"I don't want to either," Tang Mufeng chuckled helplessly. "But every time I see you, I can't control myself." 0

My cheeks instantly flushed. 0

"Miss, Miss." Tang Mufeng looked at me with burning eyes. "Once all of this is over, let's find a place with green mountains and clear waters to live a simple life together, okay?" 0

"I'll work hard to earn money; we'll have a peaceful and happy life..." 0

Live together? I paused slightly. 0

"Miss, Miss?" Tang Mufeng called softly. 0

"Mm?" I snapped back to reality. 0

"What are you thinking about?" he asked with concern. 0

"Nothing," I shook my head. "I was just wondering if you're really willing to give all of this up." 0

"I don't need any of that," Tang Mufeng said lightly. "All I need is you." 0

I looked at him; his eyes were sincere and resolute, without a trace of hesitation. 0

Ripples stirred in my heart. 0

If I really agree to him, wouldn't that be too selfish of me? I can't let my own desires affect his life... But if I give him up, I just can't bear it. After all, he is the first man I've ever liked. 0
