As Arya and Eudiana's basic physical training comes to an end, Enot decides to lead them deeper into the theoretical foundations of magic. They arrive at a specialized classroom for magic theory, where the walls are covered with intricate magic runes and spell patterns, each representing important knowledge in the study of magic.
In the middle of the classroom, there is a large round table scattered with various spellbooks and scrolls. Enot picks up an ancient spellbook, flips open a page, and shows it to Arya and Eudiana.
"This book records the knowledge of the ancient sorcerer, including how to manipulate elements, summon creatures, and cast protective spells," Enot said, his voice filled with awe.
Arya and Eudiana listened intently, occasionally exchanging amazed looks. Enot continued to introduce different spells and pointed out how the runes on the wall corresponded to the theories in the book.
After discussing for a while, Enot proposed a small test to check if the two truly understood the content they had learned. He set up a practical scenario for casting spells and asked Arya and Eudiana to each choose a spell to solve the hypothetical problem.
Arya chose a simple light spell and focused intently, chanting while gathering a dazzling light in her hands. Eudiana chose a protective spell, creating a transparent protective shield around herself.
As the two cast their spells, Enot observed carefully and offered advice. His teaching was not just technical guidance, but also focused on encouraging them on how to apply this knowledge in real combat.
Suddenly, there was a commotion on the other side of the classroom. It turned out that another Warlock teacher from the Magic Training School was leading a few students in a simulated duel, which immediately caught the attention of Arya and Eudiana.
Enot smiled and said to them, "Watching others' battles is also a part of learning. Let's go see what you can learn from it."
They approached the ongoing simulated battle, where two Warlocks were fiercely engaged, casting various complex spells. The battle was filled with tactics and strategy, with each spell carefully calculated to gain an advantage in the fight.
As the battle between the two Warlocks intensified, Arya and Eudiana watched intently. One Warlock, named Hemi, controlled fire elements and began the fight with astonishing fireball spells, launching them like meteors at her opponent, a specialist in ice elements named Kyle.
Kyle calmly waved his hand, summoning a wall of ice that quickly rose in front of him, blocking the fireballs. He then counterattacked by casting "Frost Spears," sending several pure ice crystal spears towards Hemi.
"Good defense, but let's see how you handle this!" Hemi shouted, as her palm surged with even hotter flames, this time not just a single fireball, but a series of "flame barrage."
Kyle swiftly spun his body, creating a ring of icy wind around him, which dispersed most of the flames. However, Hemi did not slow down her attack, her spell gradually transforming into a "fire whirlwind," engulfing the entire battlefield in a sea of fire.
"Your flames are fierce, Hemi, but watch my ultimate move!" Kyle said calmly, as frost began to gather all over his body, his eyes shimmering with cold light. With a pointed finger, "Arctic Storm" descended from the sky, completely engulfing Hemi's fiery whirlwind.
Arya and Eudiana watched this intense elemental showdown, both deeply drawn to each other's magic and control abilities. Arya involuntarily clenched her fists, her heart filled with a passion for learning.
Hemi felt the pressure and knew she had to give it her all to combat Kyle's powerful ice magic. She took a deep breath, enveloped her whole body in flames, and then shouted, "Summon Flame Dragon!" The flames converged into a massive fire dragon, surging with intense heat, and charged towards Kyle.
Not to be outdone, Kyle raised his hands high and summoned a massive hailstorm from the sky. The "Hailstorm" collided head-on with the flame dragon, creating a breathtakingly intense spectacle.
"Good job coming!" Hemi exclaimed with a fervent smile on her face. However, the battle was not over yet, as Kyle's hailstorm gradually overwhelmed the dragon, ultimately freezing it completely.
With the final blow, Hemi seemed exhausted, her flames gradually extinguishing, while Kyle stood still, calmly watching his opponent. Hemi nodded to Kyle in acknowledgment of her defeat.
Enot turned to Arya and Eudiana and smiled, saying, "Every battle is a learning opportunity, did you see that? Even the strongest magic has corresponding strategies to counter it."
Arya nodded, her eyes shining with new light. "I want to learn more and become a mage like them."
Eudiana also responded excitedly, "Yes, we will progress together."
Under the leadership of Enot, Arya and Eudiana arrived at one of the most advanced facilities at the magic academy - the combat simulation room.
Here, highly developed magic techniques are used to create a space that can simulate a real battlefield environment, allowing Warlocks to practice combat in a safe environment.
According to the level, there are four categories: "beginner," "intermediate," "advanced," and "top." Usually, those who can enter the "advanced" and "top" levels are already independent assassin-level Warlocks.
They first arrived at the "beginner" combat simulation room. In the center of the room was a huge circular arena, surrounded by high stands that could accommodate hundreds of spectators. Today, Arya and Eudiana will have a special duel here, facing two other students from the Magician's Apprentice Training School.
"This will be a big test of the theories and skills you have learned," Enot encouraged, then stepped back to the position of an onlooker.
The competition began, and Arya and Eudiana quickly took action. Arya manipulated her shadow magic, creating a blurry black mist to provide cover for Eudiana. Eudiana used her Light Magic to shoot out shimmering beams, attempting to locate their opponents.
The pair across from them also refused to back down. A student skilled in earth magic summoned stone spikes from the ground, attempting to pierce through the black mist. His partner, a wind magic user, created a strong gust in an attempt to disperse the black mist.
"Be careful, Eudiana!" Arya shouted, quickly casting a protective barrier that blocked the approaching stone spikes.
Eudiana responded with an affirmative look, then gathered a strong light in her hand, launching the "Piercing Light" skill, sending a beam of intense light towards the wind mage.
The wind mage dodged alertly, but still grazed by the beam, leaving a scorch mark. Reacting quickly, he cast "Whirlwind Barrier," deflecting Arya's dark mist and Eudiana's light beam at the same time.
The battle is getting more intense, and Arya and Eudiana need to coordinate their offense and defense better. Arya unleashes "Shadow Claw Strike," summoning several shadowy arms from the ground in an attempt to grab the earth mage.
The earth mage hastily uses an earth wall to protect themselves, but Eudiana's Light Magic is ready for the final blow. "Divine Light" descends from the sky, illuminating the entire arena and nearly immobilizing the opponent completely.
In the end, the cooperative combat of Arya and Eudiana defeated their opponents, proving that they not only learned theoretical knowledge but also could flexibly apply it in actual combat.
After the match, Enot walked up to Arya and Eudiana and nodded in satisfaction, saying, "Very good, you demonstrated excellent teamwork and tactical use. Keep it up, your future is limitless."
Arya and Eudiana embraced each other, their faces filled with confidence and joy. This victory was not only a triumph of skill, but also an affirmation of their growth.
Having just finished their own battle, the two of them chose to stay and watch the matches of others. Arya once again saw the young genius, Karl, in a duel with another person.
