"So that's how it is?" Shasha crossed his arms and looked mockingly at Chris, who wore a face full of grievance. He didn't believe a word this guy said; after all, he had been lying in wait by the window for quite some time. 0

"Mr. Edmund, don't hide anything from me. You should know I heard everything from start to finish. You were being hunted by Jin Bing because you offended him, but the truth is you betrayed that guy and hold evidence of his crimes. Then you hoped to sell it for a good price, am I right?" 0

Chris was taken aback for a moment, then forced a bitter smile. "Alright, completely correct. I thought I could get what I deserved, but now it seems that even if that money really came into my hands, I wouldn't have the life to spend it." 0

Shasha thought for a moment and slowly said, "Mr. Edmund, I can guarantee your safety, but you must promise me to make that information public. This is my condition for protecting you." 0

Chris was stunned again. "Do you have a grudge against Jin Bing?" 0

Shasha shook his head. "In fact, I just got caught up in your affairs." 0

"Then why would you offend that guy? You should know his influence in America is enormous; even the police are protecting him, and he has power in Congress!" Chris looked at Shasha as if he were insane. Who would be bored enough to create so much trouble for themselves? Once you offend Jin Bing, trouble would come one after another, and there could even be threats to your life. At least he regretted it deeply now. 0

Shasha naturally wouldn't admit that he was forced by a mission, so he casually found a somewhat plausible excuse—enough to fool Chris and prevent him from suspecting his motives. 0

After finishing a meal, Shasha took Chris to a secluded motel to settle down temporarily. 0

Meanwhile, the moment Richard was arrested by the police, Bill dialed the chief of the Los Angeles Police Department. 0

"Mr. Fino, I hope you can release those criminals you arrested today. At the same time, I would like you to issue a wanted notice; of course, this is an order from BSS." 0

"I understand." After hanging up the phone, Fino frowned. The face of this black chief, who was seen as upright by many, bore deep dissatisfaction. Once upon a time, he was also an honest Los Angeles police officer, but for the sake of his future, he chose to align himself with Jin Bing. Although he rose to the position of chief with Jin Bing's support, he no longer wished to be manipulated by him. He had a premonition that if this continued, something bad would happen sooner or later. But for now, he lacked the ability to resist and could only helplessly choose to execute Jin Bing's orders. 0

"Keel, release those guys we caught today and notify Mela to issue a wanted notice." 0

Chris was wanted, and while Shasha was buying fast food at a convenience store, he spotted the wanted poster. He never expected Jin Bing to respond so quickly; now, he had to get Chris out of Los Angeles as soon as possible. 0

While Shasha was out shopping, Chris quietly called his wife back home, urging her to leave immediately and take the documents to a safe place, as their location had already been compromised. 0

Just as Chris finished giving instructions, there was a knock at the door. He hurriedly hung up the phone and opened the door with a calm demeanor, completely masking the panic he had felt moments before. 0

"You’re already wanted, so it’s best not to move around carelessly. Before the hour is up, I’ll find a way to get you out of Los Angeles, but you need to promise not to cause me any trouble!" After giving this warning, Shasha left the apartment. 0

Shasha knew that he couldn't guarantee Chris's safety on his own; the forces against them had already mobilized both legal and illegal elements. Therefore, he planned to find some help. 0

Erika Natchiss—she hadn’t yet become one of Jin Bing’s top assassins. If he could convince her to join forces against Jin Bing, his chances would undoubtedly increase significantly. 0

Shasha felt fortunate for his understanding of this world and for the timing; if Erika had already aligned herself with Jin Bing, he might have been dealt with by now. Thankfully, Erika had not gone down that path. 0

Typically, Erika worked as a bartender at Queen's Bar in Los Angeles, using it as a cover. 0

When Shasha arrived at Queen's Bar, it happened to be during Erika's shift. 0

Although Erika had changed her outfit, her face was still very familiar to Shasha. He walked straight up to the bar and said to Erika, who was polishing a glass, "I'll have a Blue Hawaii." 0

Erika paused for a moment, her brow furrowing slightly; that voice sounded familiar. When she looked up and saw Shasha smiling at her, her expression shifted. "It's you?" 0

"Yes, it's me." Shasha nodded. Noticing the dangerous look on Erika's face, he quickly added, "I know you might think I’m stalking you, but I came specifically to find you. Don’t ask how I know you’re here; I just need your help. You can hear me out first before deciding how you feel about me." 0

Erika's brow remained furrowed, as Shasha's sudden appearance was too suspicious. They had only met briefly not long ago, and now she was standing right in front of her. If it weren't for the fact that this girl seemed so weak, Erika would have thought she was sent by someone from the Hand-to-Hand Meeting. However, considering Shasha's earnestness, she decided to listen to what this girl had to say. 0

"You listen here. If I'm not satisfied, I can't guarantee you'll be able to walk out of here," Erika warned. 0

Shasha seemed unfazed by Erika's attitude. She recounted the events that had transpired, emphasizing Jin Bing's brutality and criminal activities to stir Erika's sense of justice. 0

As Shasha spoke, Erika occasionally frowned and pondered. There was no denying that she was secretly engaged in acts of chivalry, but her official profession was that of an assassin. She knew about Jin Bing—he was the most powerful crime lord in America. Offending him would only lead to endless trouble. Yet, with her sense of justice still intact, she couldn't bring herself to ignore the situation, leaving her in a state of inner conflict. 0

Noticing Erika's hesitation, Shasha took a moment to consider her words before speaking slowly. "I know you're afraid of Jin Bing coming after you. I'll take full responsibility for everything afterward, so you don't need to worry." 0

Upon hearing this, Erika gave Shasha a deep look. "I can help you, but I hope you follow through on your end." 0

"Of course," Shasha replied with a smile. Although she knew Erika still held doubts about her intentions, at least she would soon find out whether things would unfold as she hoped. 0
