“ Xueinn, I'm here to feed you!” She approached it cautiously, gently patting its head with her left hand.
After some time together, Xueinn had finally warmed up to her and no longer threatened to kick her at the slightest provocation.

He wore a moon-white satin robe that made him appear even more ethereal. Strangely, he was followed by several disciples from Ling Tai Valley, all looking as if they were facing a formidable enemy, which made her heart inexplicably tense.
“How strange! I'm not even from Ling Tai Valley, why am I feeling so nervous?”
Liu Ruyan muttered softly, but when Jun Shaoyan got closer, she couldn't help but ask quietly, “What happened?”
To her surprise, Jun Shaoyan simply led Xueinn away and frowned. “It's none of your business. Stay here in the stable and don’t go anywhere! Do you understand?”
Hearing his commanding tone made Liu Ruyan angry. Just as she was about to confront him, she was pulled aside by Ke Dao. “Miss Liu, you won't go wrong listening to Young Master Shao!”
As they moved to the side and watched everyone lead their horses out of the valley, he whispered, “Miss Liu, now is not the time to act spoiled with Young Master Shao!”
"Poof!"
Liu Ruyan was startled, almost biting her own tongue. "When did I ever act cute with him? I was seriously debating with him, okay?"
Ke Dao looked indulgent. "Alright, alright, let's call it a debate for now. But this isn't the time for that. I heard that the lord of Initial Clarity Manor has gone mad and is causing a ruckus in our Ling Tai Valley. They say our Young Master Shao has a grudge against him over a woman, and he's outside the bamboo forest at the Foggy Barrier, threatening to set the bamboo grove on fire!"
"That troublemaker from the Outburst Mountain Manor?" Liu Ruyan was taken aback. "You mean that Shorty Lord?"

Ke Dao couldn't bear to refuse those tear-filled eyes and reluctantly agreed through gritted teeth. "Fine, fine... I'll take you there. But we need to agree on something first: you mustn't act impulsively or stick your neck out. Otherwise, you'll get me killed!"
Liu Ruyan nodded vigorously, clenching her fists and silently praying for her parents' safety. However, just as they caught up with the main group, Jun Shaoyan seemed to have eyes in the back of his head, his radar-like gaze locking onto Liu Ruyan as he glared at Ke Dao with an elongated face.
