Selena took a deep breath and began to chant softly, her hands emitting a warm glow. As her incantation grew stronger, a protective shield slowly formed, enveloping her and Arya. The shield shimmered with a gentle light, contrasting with the dazzling brilliance of the crystal.
Suddenly, a surge of magical energy shot out from the crystal, heading straight for Selena. However, upon contact with the protective shield, it was gently absorbed and harmlessly dissipated.
"It's amazing, Selena! Your control ability has turned this dangerous room into a favorable place for us," Arya exclaimed, her eyes filled with admiration.
Selena smiled and responded, "It's also thanks to the cooperation of our team. Without your support, I wouldn't be able to focus so much on using my magic."
As they continued to traverse the crystal room, they carefully avoided potential triggering of more reflective magical traps with each step. Along the way, Garys and Logan vigilantly checked every corner to ensure the safety of their path.
"This challenge teaches us that sometimes the best offense is to not trigger the opponent's defense," Logan reflected, his gaze still sharp ahead.
Garys nodded and replied, "Indeed." His voice revealed confidence in the future development of the team.
Finally, they crossed the crystal room and arrived at a heavy stone door. The door was engraved with complex magical symbols, seemingly requiring specific magic or knowledge to open.
"These symbols look very ancient, possibly related to the creators of this temple," said Gary, his gaze focused on studying every detail.
Selena and Logan also came over to observe, trying to find a way to open it. Meanwhile, Arya felt her Time-Winged Hatchling, Little Asia, seemed to react to these symbols.
"It seems that Little Asia is very interested in these symbols. Perhaps it can sense the time magic elements inside." Arya said softly as she gently stroked Little Asia, observing its reaction.
Little Asia's feathers shimmered, and its eyes seemed to reveal a longing for the world behind the door. Guided by it, Arya reached out and touched a particularly glowing symbol, and this action suddenly triggered the mechanism to open the door.
With a deep rumbling sound, the stone door slowly opened, revealing a passage leading to a deeper and more mysterious space. Through the crack in the door, they could feel a more ancient and powerful magical energy.
"This is the most direct combination of time and space with magic that we have encountered so far. The existence of Little Asia is crucial for us to unravel these mysteries," Garys said, turning to Arya with admiration.
Arya's face lit up with a confident smile as she replied, "With Little Asia here, we can better understand this mysterious place. It is not only my companion, but also the key to our success."
As they ventured deeper, every corner seemed filled with enigmas and echoes of history. Logan and Selena continued to use their skills to protect the team, while Gary's composure and strategic planning ensured they stayed ahead when facing the unknown.
In such an adventure, each trial and challenge not only tests their magical abilities but also deepens the trust and emotional connection between them. Especially, Arya's profound feelings for Garys gradually increase, even though Garys himself is not aware of it.
As Arya and her team entered a spacious underground hall, heavy tapestries hung on the walls and strange runes adorned the floor, illuminating the entire space.
Suddenly, the light in the hall dimmed, and one by one, shadows detached from the walls, forming living shadow monsters, each mimicking the movements and skills of Arya and her team members.
"These shadows are too cunning; they can mimic every one of our actions, even magical attacks," Logan said, his voice tinged with tension and alertness.
Garys's face flashed with a determined light, and he quickly stepped forward, shouting, "Everyone step back and let me handle these shadows. I will use my illusionism to confuse them." With that, he began chanting an incantation, and his staff emitted a dim light.
Meanwhile, Selena cast her healing aura from the back, creating a protective layer for the team to prevent them from being harmed by the shadow monsters' attacks. Her magic emitted a gentle green light, enveloping each team member, enhancing their strength and spirit.
Suddenly, Garys's illusionism was released, and several smoky doppelgangers appeared in the room, each perfectly synchronized with Garys's movements. The shadow monster was immediately confused and began attacking the illusions.
"Now, Logan!" Garys shouted.
Logan reacted swiftly, and in an instant, his palm surged with intense elemental energy, transforming into a powerful elemental explosion. "Elemental storm!" he shouted, unleashing a massive wave of energy towards the shadow monsters trapped by illusionism, one by one obliterating them.
In the midst of battle, Arya continuously wielded her dual swords, fending off the encroaching shadows, each sword strike carrying potent magical power. "Stay vigilant, these shadows are extremely cunning!" she reminded her companions while fighting.
Garys swiftly counterattacked after dodging, unleashing his finishing move: "Shadow Slash!" His sword gleamed like the depths of the night, piercing through one shadow monster after another.
"Alright, it looks like the final wave of attacks did the trick," Logan panted, wiping the sweat off his forehead, a victorious smile on his face.
Selena Gently stroking her magic wand, her green eyes shimmered. "We did it, but we need to stay alert. Who knows what other challenges this place might hold," she said softly.
As the last trace of the shadow was eliminated, the hall lit up again, revealing a passage to the next trial.
Each person in the team has gained valuable experience in this series of battles, becoming even more closely united, especially Arya, whose reliance and trust in Garys has deepened invisibly. As they prepare to face the next challenge, her eyes shimmer with hope and determination for the future.
