The water flows with a silent melody, as if hiding a thousand years of secrets. Any creature daring to cross will leave their memories as the price. Arya and her companions stand on the bank of this mysterious river, where a mist-like veil gently drifts on the surface.
"The mist in this river can absorb and lock away memories. Once it touches your whole body, all past will vanish into nothingness," Garys' voice carries an unprecedented seriousness, his gaze firmly scanning the faces of his teammates.
Selena gently grasped her staff, invoking her Light Magic, surrounding everyone with a warm glow, bringing a moment of reassurance. "I can attempt to purify this mist with my healing magic, but the protection spell has a limited duration, we must act quickly."
Logan began setting up elemental barriers, using his Elemental Magic combined with Gary's illusionism, creating a brief protective shield to prevent the mist from touching their skin. "As long as we move quickly, we should be fine."
Arya took a deep breath and gazed across the river, where it seemed there was a path leading to the next part of their journey. She turned to Garys and said, "No matter what happens, I believe in you."
Garys nodded, fully aware of the heavy responsibility on his shoulders. He had to not only protect Arya's safety but also safeguard her precious memories. They tightly held hands and stepped into the hazy mist, each step unusually cautious.
As they passed through the thick fog, countless ghostly figures suddenly rose from the water's surface. These were the souls imprisoned by the river, their faces contorted with deep despair and longing.
Selena immediately began to chant, her voice clear and loud, echoing along the riverbank. As her spell gradually took effect, the faces of those souls began to relax, gradually enveloped in a soft glow, and eventually dissipated into the air, as if they had found a path to peace.

Logan and Selena also noticed Garys's special care for Arya, and they silently reinforced the protective shield, allowing the entire team to cross safely. During this process, Arya's reliance and trust in Garys reached an unprecedented level.
As they finally emerged from the fog, Arya's memory was preserved, and she looked deeply at Garys with gratitude. "Thank you, Garys. Without you, I might have been lost in that river."

In this moment, he is no longer the competitive young mage in the academy, but the key figure carrying the hope of the entire team.
"Look at me, Logan. You can do this," Selena said softly, her green eyes filled with encouragement.
Logan took a deep breath and began reciting the ancient incantation. His hands slowly rose, with each finger seemingly manipulating unseen forces. Gradually, the elements of fire, water, wind, and earth began to converge in front of the door, forming a massive elemental vortex.
Arya and Garys stood on the side, vigilantly watching their surroundings, in case of any unforeseen events. Deep within Garys's dark eyes, there was a hint of worry, as he knew that controlling this kind of power was extremely dangerous, and a slight mistake could lead to a major disaster.
Logan had a bead of sweat on his face, his expression serious, and the veins on his forehead were faintly visible. This was a battle against his own abilities, and a challenge to his own limits. Suddenly, the power of the four elements erupted in front of the door, emitting a deafening sound.
"Now!" Logan shouted loudly, pushing all his strength towards the heart of the door.
With a loud rumble, the ancient door slowly opened, and a dazzling light shone through the crack. Selena couldn't help but be overjoyed, rushing forward to embrace Logan tightly.
"You did it! Logan, you are amazing!" she said excitedly.
Logan smiled, looking at the mysterious space behind the door, feeling a sense of accomplishment. They didn't know what awaited them behind the door, but this moment of success had given them enough confidence to face any challenge.
Garys silently observed everything, knowing that this was just one of many challenges. His gaze finally fell on Arya, and seeing her unharmed, he felt a slight sense of peace.
"Let's continue forward," Garys finally said, leading everyone through the newly opened door and into deeper unknowns.
