Jonas fell heavily to the ground, the impact sending a dull thud through his back, pain crashing over him like waves. He gasped for breath, his vision blurred, unable to gather his thoughts. As his breathing gradually steadied, he realized that Raymond's sudden loss of control and agonized screams were not mere coincidence. 0

The ground began to tremble slightly, the vibrations intensifying, as if the entire cave was resonating with some indescribable force. Jonas widened his eyes; everything before him became increasingly unstable, a sense of impending doom permeating the air. A thought suddenly struck him—Isabella had succeeded. 0

It was her! The realization flashed through Jonas's mind. Those tremors, those strange changes—all pointed to one conclusion: Isabella had completed her plan. She must have activated the ship's overload protocol, just as she had promised; the Black Worm's mother must have been utterly destroyed. 0

He slowly lifted his head to look at Raymond. At that moment, Raymond was still writhing in pain, his limbs and tentacles twitching like lifeless twigs, black ichor oozing from his ruptured skin. Jonas could feel it—Raymond's state was no longer filled with the brutality and malice it once held; his power was rapidly fading. 0

Isabella… she really did it. However, this realization brought a heavy sorrow to Jonas's heart. Her success also meant her sacrifice; Isabella must have perished along with that ship and those evil creations. His heart tightened as he recalled her determined gaze and fearless resolve—the last glimpse of her resolute figure before the Hatch closed. That courage and sacrifice burned within Jonas like a fierce flame. 0

"The Black Rope God… has failed," Raymond muttered intermittently, his voice filled with helplessness and despair. The madness that once filled his eyes had vanished, leaving only unmasked pain and collapse. The Black Worm Mother, which once possessed infinite power, was now being annihilated alongside this catastrophe. 0

The tremors from below grew stronger, causing the entire cave to shake precariously. Stones fell from above, debris scattered around as if trying to bury everything in history. 0

Jonas gritted his teeth, forcing himself to rise from the ground, his trembling body supported by his hands. Isabella's last words echoed in his mind; no matter what, he had to fulfill her wish and bring everything to light. He looked at Raymond—once a friend, now a monster consumed by darkness. A pang of bitterness surged within Jonas; this was an irreversible truth. 0

"Isabella… you did it," he whispered weakly against the cave wall, filled with respect and sorrow for her. 0

Stumbling from the ground, Jonas reached for a gun scattered on the floor. He gripped the handle tightly, sweat making the metal surface slick beneath his palm. His tense breaths roared in his ears as he aimed the gun at Raymond, his voice rough and hoarse from exhaustion and shock. 0

"It's all over, Raymond!" Jonas shouted hoarsely yet firmly, roaring at Raymond, "Look at yourself! Look at what you've become!" 0

At Jonas's reprimand, Raymond flinched slightly before lowering his gaze to examine his transformed limbs. Where his hands once were now lay irregular tentacles and black bone spikes intertwined like demonic claws. His skin was no longer human but covered in cracked black material that exuded a foul stench of decay. His chest moved erratically, expanding and contracting as if some alien creature were struggling to break free from within him. 0

Raymond's breathing became rapid and heavy, his pupils dilating as extreme confusion and fear flickered in his eyes. For the first time, he truly realized that he was no longer human, no longer himself. 0

"No! This isn't me!" Raymond suddenly howled in agony, his voice filled with despair. His cries echoed through the cave, harsh and hoarse, like a voice rising from the abyss. 0

Raymond extended his deformed tendrils, waving them frantically as if trying to tear apart the fear hanging in the air; in reality, he seemed to be struggling to break free from his own curse. His muscles and twisted bones convulsed under extreme pressure, each struggle accompanied by filthy black liquid spraying from his wounds. It was as if his body was battling some invisible force. 0

"I am not a monster! This isn't real! This isn't real!!" Raymond's screams grew shrill and frantic, filled with boundless fear and uncontrollable rage. He tried to mask his inner collapse with these cries, but it was all in vain. 0

His emotions hovered on the brink of collapse, that deep-seated fear had long since crushed the once fearless heart within him. Raymond's wails tore through the darkness of the cave, his body shaking violently with each scream, his tendrils twisting wildly in the air like dead vines. 0

Jonas watched with a flicker of pity but understood clearly that the Raymond he once knew had vanished completely. He could only grip his gun tightly, aiming it at his former comrade. 0

Raymond's eyes suddenly turned bloodshot, a glimmer of madness flashing deep within his pupils as if he had grasped some significant revelation. A wild thought flashed through his mind like a lightning bolt splitting his consciousness: "Since the original host is dead, why can't I become the new host?" 0

This twisted notion instantly swelled within Raymond's mind, becoming overwhelmingly intense. He began to feel that the swarm of Black Worms inside him responded to his mad desire; those voices that had once eroded him now sounded gentle and encouraging. They began to whisper, coaxing Raymond on how to transform himself into a more powerful being, to become a new generation of host and lead them back to the glory of the Black Rope Deity. 0

"Yes! I can become the host! I can control everything!" Raymond's voice turned frenzied with excitement as he shouted wildly, like some kind of cultist praying for the power within him to erupt with his will. His hands trembled as his tendrils waved around him as if alive. 0

"I can feel the power! The power of the Black Rope God! I am the new god!" Raymond's chest heaved again as tendrils erupted from his torso, crawling frantically along the walls. His skin continuously swelled and cracked open, black slime oozing from the fissures as if his flesh was undergoing some twisted transformation. 0

"Come on! Worms! Obey me!" Raymond's voice roared like a madman; he believed he could control these creatures, making them part of him and rise again. 0

However, standing aside, Jonas saw an entirely different scene. In his eyes, Raymond's body showed no miraculous transformation but instead began to grow increasingly unstable. The tendrils writhed chaotically across him like a beast losing its direction while his muscles and bones rapidly disintegrated. Those once razor-sharp tendrils now appeared weak and feeble, black liquid continuously flowing from him like a decaying corpse emitting a foul stench. 0

Jonas's eyes were filled with sorrow and despair, while Raymond's madness only hastened his own destruction. He gripped the gun tightly in his hands, the pain within him beyond words. He looked at his former comrade, now transformed into a mindless monster, futilely striving for an illusory power and divinity. 0

"Raymond, this is all pointless! You're finished!" Jonas growled softly, his heart heavy with helplessness. 0

Yet, Raymond could not hear him. His entire body struggled between collapse and mutation, his tentacles hanging limply, his form resembling a balloon slowly deflating—empty and distorted. His mad howls echoed through the air, yet they could not alter the inevitable path toward his own destruction. 0
