The next day, Li Xue set off from her apartment at nine o'clock, dragging her suitcase behind her.
She ran into her neighbor, Wang Xiaomin, downstairs.
Wang Xiaomin noticed her and asked, "Miss Li, are you heading out again?"
Li Xue nodded, "I’m going on a business trip for a few days."
Wang Xiaomin smiled, "Have a pleasant journey."
Li Xue returned the smile, "Thank you."
Wang Xiaomin walked away with her boyfriend, Li Jie.
Li Xue smiled again and turned to leave.
Outside, a black Mercedes-Benz S-Class was parked.
Driver Liu took Li Xue's suitcase and opened the trunk to place it inside.
Li Xue smiled, "Thank you."
Lao Liu politely smiled back without saying anything.
Gu Jingchen also got out of the car.
Seeing him, Li Xue asked, "Why did you come down yourself?"
Gu Jingchen looked at her and replied, "Is this all you’re bringing?"
Li Xue chuckled, "Since you’ve arranged for an assistant, I can just buy whatever I need. No need to bring too much."
Gu Jingchen smiled, "Since I’ve assigned the assistant to you, she’s yours to use as you wish."
Li Xue's face flushed slightly, "I understand."
Gu Jingchen chuckled and opened the car door, "Get in."
Li Xue nodded and climbed into the car.
Gu Jingchen followed her inside.
Up front, Driver Liu started the engine.
The car slowly pulled away.
At that moment, Wang Xiaomin happened to come down again and saw Li Xue sitting in a car with a man as they drove off.
She was somewhat surprised; who was that man?
Beside her, Li Jie noticed her staring intently at something and asked, "What are you looking at?"
Wang Xiaomin pointed at the car that Li Xue and Gu Jingchen had just occupied. "Do you think that man is Miss Li's new boyfriend?"
Li Jie followed her gaze but only saw the back of the car. He frowned slightly, "I don’t know him."
Wang Xiaomin felt a bit disappointed. "Oh."
Noticing her distracted demeanor, Li Jie asked, "What’s wrong?"
Wang Xiaomin shook her head, "Nothing."
Li Jie smiled and said, "Then let’s go."
Wang Xiaomin nodded and followed him back inside.

The car slowly drove into the airport.
Gu Jingchen and Li Xue got out of the vehicle when Wang approached them.
"President Gu, Miss Li, your flight isn’t for a while yet; would you like to rest a bit?"
Gu Jingchen nodded, "Alright."
Wang led them inside. After they sat down, Gu Jingchen closed his eyes to rest. Li Xue took out her tablet, intending to review some materials. Gu Jingchen opened his eyes and looked at her, "Are you planning to start a cultural company?"
Li Xue was taken aback, "How did you know?"
Gu Jingchen raised an eyebrow, "I guessed."
"..." Li Xue smiled, "Yes."
Gu Jingchen looked at her, "Can you not collaborate with Zhang Lin?"
Li Xue was surprised, "Why?"
Gu Jingchen frowned slightly, "I don't like him."
"..." Li Xue felt a bit helpless, "You're being unreasonable."
Gu Jingchen looked at her, "I can help you."
Li Xue was somewhat taken aback, "You would help me?"
Gu Jingchen nodded, "I can provide you with the best resources."
"..." Li Xue thought for a moment, "Alright then."
Gu Jingchen smirked, "Good girl."
"..." Li Xue's face flushed, "Stop teasing me."
Gu Jingchen chuckled and said nothing more.

The plane slowly landed at Y Country's capital airport. Gu Jingchen led Li Xue and several other employees from the Gu company off the plane. Outside, several executives from the partner company were already waiting. Gu Jingchen and Li Xue walked over and exchanged pleasantries with the person in charge. Li Xue maintained a smile throughout. Gu Jingchen conversed with Mr. Bill in English.
Mr. Bill looked at Li Xue and smiled, "This beautiful lady is..."
Gu Jingchen wrapped his arm around Li Xue's shoulder, "This is my girlfriend."
"..." Li Xue was stunned for a moment before smiling, "Hello."
Mr. Bill exclaimed, "Your girlfriend is truly beautiful."
Gu Jingchen smiled back, "Thank you."
Li Xue felt a bit helpless but said nothing. Due to the fatigue from traveling, the welcome banquet was scheduled for the next day. Gu Jingchen and Li Xue were assigned to a presidential suite.
Li Xue looked at the spacious room and felt a bit uneasy, "Isn't this a bit too much?"
Gu Jingchen looked at her, "What's wrong with it?"
Li Xue felt awkward, "What if the media catches us..."
Gu Jingchen chuckled, "It's very safe here; paparazzi can't get in."
"..." Li Xue bit her lip. "I think I should book another room."
Gu Jingchen looked at her. "Do you want the outside world to think that we broke up?"
"..." Li Xue was taken aback. "Does it matter?"
Gu Jingchen smiled. "You are my girlfriend now. If people think we’ve broken up, do you think it would have any impact on the the Gu Family?"
"..." Li Xue furrowed her brows. "So what should we do?"
Gu Jingchen looked at her. "Actually, I have a good idea."
Li Xue immediately asked, "What idea?"
Gu Jingchen smirked. "Didn't you promise me you'd stay by my side for five days? As long as you spend one day in this room with me, it counts as one day."
"..." Li Xue was stunned. "How can that work?"
Gu Jingchen chuckled. "If you don't agree, then we'll just have to stay here together."
"..." Li Xue bit her lip. "Fine then."
Gu Jingchen smiled. "Good girl."
Li Xue felt a bit shy. "I'll go take a shower first."
Gu Jingchen nodded. "Alright."
Li Xue grabbed her clothes and headed to the bathroom.
Gu Jingchen smiled and turned to leave.

After Li Xue finished her shower, she felt thirsty. She walked to the living room and poured herself a glass of water.
As she turned around, she saw Gu Jingchen still working.
She was surprised. "Aren't you going to sleep?"
Gu Jingchen looked at her. "Not tired yet."
Li Xue nodded. "Then I'll go to bed first."
Gu Jingchen smiled. "Good night."
