Silence suddenly spoke up. The people in the hall were momentarily stunned, and then an uproar ensued.
Matsuyama Iino had attempted to symbolize her love for Kazuki Sawamura with a bloody dragon painting, but after completing it, she was murdered. At the same time, Mr. Kazuki Sawamura, who was also killed, must have felt great sorrow upon seeing that painting.
Silence continued her reasoning. Just then, from a dark corner of the building, a woman stepped out and began to cry. It was Yuko Sawamura, Kazuki Sawamura's sister.
"I killed Iino and Kazuki," Yuko Sawamura admitted through tears. She was jealous of Matsuyama Iino and Kazuki Sawamura's relationship and had killed them both. The Blood Dragon Painting was indeed created by Matsuyama Iino.
Yuko Sawamura was handed over to the police and faced trial. Afterward, Silence left the building and returned to Tokyo. However, one thing lingered in her mind.
It was Matsuyama Iino's smile. Even in the face of death, she maintained that smile on her face. That smile seemed to convey something profound.
When Silence arrived at her office, she couldn't shake off that smile throughout the night. At some point, she realized a truth.
Before her death, Matsuyama Iino had painted a bloody dragon. The moment she created that painting, she wished to die alongside Kazuki Sawamura. This wish was fulfilled by Yuko Sawamura.
Silence sighed deeply and opened the office window to let the night breeze in. She had solved the case, but being part of it made her feel the depth and complexity of human emotions.
After cracking the Blood Dragon Case, Silence didn't have time to rest; she continued to trace cases in Tokyo. One day, she found a mysterious envelope on her front porch. The envelope bore Matsuyama Iino's name and an old wax seal stamp. When she opened it, she discovered a letter and a photograph.
The letter was written by Matsuyama Iino before her death. In a calm tone, she explained her reasons for choosing death and concluded with:
"Miss Silence, if you are reading this letter, you must already know the truth about my death. I struggled between love and pain; ultimately, I chose death. But I do not regret it. Love is beautiful yet cruel; I am a happy person who has tasted both flavors. Lastly, I have one request: do not forget me. Please remember my name; I am watching over you from somewhere."
The photograph showed Matsuyama Iino and Kazuki Sawamura smiling happily as they held hands against the backdrop of a bloody dragon. However, this painting felt like an old piece of art that Matsuyama Iino certainly did not create just before her death.
Silence stared at the photograph with a furrowed brow as if recalling something important. Suddenly, she stood up and dashed out of her office, running through the streets of Tokyo.
Silence researched Matsuyama Iino's birthplace and visited an old library there. The librarian told her stories about Matsuyama Iino; she often came here as a child, and there was an old painting in the library that Matsuyama Iino had seen many times.
Silence looked at the painting depicting a bloody dragon and noticed a note attached below it.
"This is an unfinished work by my mother; she was born in love and died in hate. I've always dreamed of inheriting that love and hate and painting a bloody dragon with someone special."
Silence gazed at the painting while reading Matsuyama Iino's note. She sighed deeply in front of the artwork.
"You truly are a happy person; I will fulfill your wish."
Leaving the library, Silence returned to the streets of Tokyo where she continued her detective work with Matsuyama Iino's wish in her heart. The tragedy of Blood Dragon had now become part of the past, but the deep love and sorrow hidden within would never fade away.
