Tokyo. The first rays of morning sunlight pierced through the thin mist, illuminating the bustling streets. In a narrow alley, a passerby suddenly stopped, stunned by the scene before him.
A middle-aged man lay on the ground, his body marked with clear signs of violence, surrounded by scattered belongings that did not belong to him. More strikingly, the man's phone screen flickered, displaying an edited video of a murder.
What is going on? The passerby thought in shock, quickly pulling out his phone to call the police.
In the conference room of the police station, detectives gathered around a large screen showing surveillance footage, engaged in heated discussions. The chief frowned as he examined the deliberately edited video.
"This is clearly premeditated," one detective remarked. "This method is very similar to an unsolved case from a few years ago."
"Are you referring to Silent Melody?" an older detective asked.
"Yes." The young detective nodded. "The same technique, the same silence. Is this just a coincidence?"
At that moment, a young woman in a trench coat pushed the door open; she was Silence. Her sharp gaze seemed to pierce through everything. She glanced at the video on the screen and slowly spoke: "This is not merely a coincidence."
Silence stood at the crime scene, carefully surveying her surroundings. She noticed a subtle clue among a pile of items next to the victim—a small coin. This coin was unlike any other; one side bore a unique symbol.
"This is the mark of Silent Melody," Silence whispered. "It seems they have resurfaced."
After arriving at the police station, Silence began to study all available information regarding the Silent Melody case. She discovered that this organization always left behind a silent song after each crime; these songs could only be played in specific environments. Moreover, they edited a video each time as an invitation for the police to participate in a game.
Determined to take action, Silence sought out an elderly man rumored to have deep connections with Silent Melody. The man's name was Aze, a reclusive musician. Upon hearing Silence's purpose for visiting, fear flickered in his eyes.
"What do you want to know?" Aze asked with a trembling voice.
"Tell me everything about Silent Melody," Silence insisted firmly.
After a moment of silence, Aze finally spoke: "Silent Melody is a mysterious group skilled at manipulating hearts through music. Before each crime, they leave behind a silent song that can only reveal its truth when played at specific times and locations."
"And what about this time?" Silence pressed further.
Taking a deep breath, Aze replied, "This time, the song is said to be hidden in an abandoned Concert Hall."
