The urgent task was to gather more evidence against him. Good news soon arrived: the police found a letter at Wang Bin's home, addressed to his daughter, in which he explicitly admitted to killing Wang Wentao.
It was clear that Zhao Suyun, who was also at home that day, had significant suspicion surrounding her involvement in the crime.

At this point, one might wonder what Wang Bin's motive for killing Wang Wentao was.

On the night of March 10, tragedy struck. Wang Bin killed him with a kitchen knife. Afterward, he and Zhao Suyun disposed of the body, transferring it to Shanghai, where they discarded the torso in a river in Pudong and threw the head in the Kunshan area.
After completing this gruesome task, infatuated Wang Bin promised Zhao Suyun that he would take full responsibility.
"What if this gets exposed?" he pondered. "If it does, I will bear it all alone and drag you down with me."
Wang Bin murmured to himself, a glint of determination in his eyes.
Under Wang Bin's guidance, the police successfully recovered the remaining remains of Wang Wentao from a river.
It is hard not to lament that despite having better options, the two chose a path of no return.
In the end, infatuated Wang Bin was sentenced to death, while Zhao Suyun received a death sentence with a two-year reprieve. The other three individuals involved also faced varying degrees of punishment.
Thus, the case was finally solved.
