“Crack—”
Blackhawk felt a sudden tightening grip on his captured hand, followed by an unbearable pain that made him furrow his brow and scream out loud. Unconsciously, he released the Fermion-Level Tendency Oscillation Sphere from his grasp. The strength of Godslayer Bansa instilled a moment of fear in Blackhawk; he had crushed the bones in his hand along with the armor he wore! Liang Muqi watched through the green visor of the Black Hawk Armor as his hand, covered in armor, was effortlessly crushed by Godslayer, crumpling like twisted aluminum foil. The armor felt as fragile as paper in that moment.
Feeling the pain, Blackhawk quickly tried to retract his hand, but the Shock Ball fell to the ground. Godslayer seemed to recognize the lethality of the device; with a single stomp, he shattered the Shock Ball into pieces. The last flicker of hope was extinguished by Godslayer, and Blackhawk's attacks became erratic, resembling an insect caught in a spider's web making its final struggles. His shoulder-mounted machine gun was raised, firing flames that nearly touched Godslayer's body, while he pulled out the Ghostly Scaled Blade and wildly stabbed at Godslayer's chest plate, like a child unwilling to go home being dragged back by an adult.
To Godslayer, all of this appeared laughable and foolish. He lifted Blackhawk by his hand and suspended him in mid-air before slamming him down to the ground like a boulder rolling off a mountain top. Instantly, a shockwave erupted from the impact, startling the four soldiers who had accompanied Godslayer and were watching from above. Blackhawk’s Feathered Mechanical Wings scattered across the ground like feathers plucked from a chicken; he lay helplessly on the ground, feeling dazed from the fall.
“My elite warriors have been defeated by such weaklings,” Godslayer said slowly, each word dripping with oppressive disdain. He still looked down on the guardians of this planet with contempt and arrogance. Faced with Blackhawk, who had lost all ability to resist, he chose not to end him with his massive axe but instead stomped down on him!
“Ugh!” A surge of blood filled Liang Muqi’s mouth as the tremendous force nearly shattered his ribcage.
“Warning: Energy core under severe compression. Energy supply... disrupted... disrupted...” The AI within Black Hawk Armor continued to warn Liang Muqi with its last bit of power. The red alarm lights flashed within the visor of Black Hawk Armor as Godslayer forcibly damaged the energy core.
Bansa withdrew his foot and glanced back at Madwoman Lu Sha, who lay incapacitated on the ground clutching her severed leg. He then walked toward his next target—Wily Fox Xia'er.
“Your Majesty, I did my best…” With her visor shattered and her arms turning to sand while her legs were bound tightly, Xia'er was completely out of commission. Raindrops fell through her visor onto her face, slowly eroding her away; parts of her eyes and skin had already vanished into sticky quicksand within her Battle Armor. Seeing Bansa approach her, Xia'er spoke slowly.
“I know, my warrior; you have tried hard to protect the crystal,” Bansa said as he bent down. “But you can no longer survive. It is unfortunate that you are a Silicon-Based Lifeform. May the heavy rain consume you and your soul find peace.”
“But... but...” Xia'er could no longer articulate words; her mouth was also turning to sand as raindrops fell upon it. Now only half of her face remained.
Bansa stood up without acknowledging Xia'er further, leaving her to perish on her own. After eliminating two superheroes on Earth, he moved toward the energy extraction device. There were no soldiers guarding this area now; if The Celestial Warriors attacked again, the Life Crystals might be taken away.
“Conquering this planet before proceeding with crystallization might not be a bad thing,” Bansa said as he picked up the Life Crystals and signaled for four soldiers in the sky to descend with boxes. He then stored the Life Crystals into one of them.
“Chaos Crystals... you're all that's left.” Bansa turned his gaze skyward at a unique meteor among countless falling debris—a chaotic Zombie King Miao Chengmin plummeting toward Earth’s central battlefield.
Bansa opened a Time Portal and gestured for his four subordinates who had finished collecting Life Crystals to leave this place. They bowed their heads in respect before turning and disappearing into the Time Portal. Bansa himself remained on Earth; he still needed to obtain the Chaos Crystals and intended to extract them personally from Miao Chengmin’s body. With that thought in mind, Bansa ignited his Thruster and soared toward where Zombie King Miao Chengmin was descending.
The entire landing platform fell silent once more, only interrupted by the sound of torrential rain mingling with howling northern winds—a continuous cascade of rain fell downwards. Inside Xiaer's Battle Armor, water had already filled it up; most of her face had turned to sand while half of her lips remained open for breath. She seemed to be waiting for someone, clinging to life with unwavering tenacity.
“Xia'er!”
Five minutes later, as if her wait had finally borne fruit, there came a sound of shattering glass from below—the Pulsar Ocpie flew up along the high-rise wall and landed before his wife Xia'er. The entire battlefield was drenched in heavy rain; he knew well that both he and his wife could not get wet, but Ocpie was protected by full-body Battle Armor while Xia'er lacked complete coverage. Upon seeing Xia'er lying on the ground, Ocpie's heart sank heavily; he rushed to her side with trembling lips filled with sorrow: “Xia'er, my love... please answer me…”
With only half a face remaining, Xia’er’s remaining left eye glanced at her beloved Ocpie while both arms had completely turned to sand and disappeared. She could only look at him without being able to touch him again. It seemed she fulfilled her last wish as she took one last look at Ocpie before letting her head droop weakly to one side; that left eye became vacant without any sign of life.
“No—”
Through Battle Armor, Ocpie's shout echoed loudly yet mournfully; the sensation of losing his wife in middle age amplified alongside the sound of rain. He extended his hand and created a small barrier at Xiaer's visor to shield her remaining half-face from the pouring rain before gently cradling her lifeless body and sobbing quietly.
Qin Weishan rushed up the stairs just in time to witness the scene before him. He knew that Ocpie was not the real enemy, but the true threat had already vanished. Lying on either side of Ocpie and Xiar were Blackhawk Liang Muqi, incapacitated in his armor, and Madwoman Lu Sha, who had lost her left leg. A sense of dread washed over Qin Weishan as he hurried towards Lu Sha, who lay in a pool of blood. Fortunately, her self-healing ability was still active, and her left leg was visibly regenerating.
"Lu Sha, are you okay?" Qin Weishan approached her and gently lifted her up by supporting her back.
"He's too strong..." Lu Sha's consciousness was still hazy; the right side of her head felt as if it had been struck by something, and her face was smeared with blood. However, these superficial injuries were not a concern for her; apart from the bloodstains, her wounds had already begun to heal on their own. "That Ban Sa's power is simply... godlike."
Seeing the severity of Blackhawk and Madwoman's injuries sent a chill down Qin Weishan's spine. "Where is he?"
"He went to find your ally, Zombie King, because the Chaos Crystals are still within him."
Upon hearing Ocpie's voice, Qin Weishan immediately became alert. He set Lu Sha down and raised his fists in a fighting stance as Ocpie approached him. Due to prolonged high-intensity use, the rain falling on his rocket-cannon dual propulsion device emitted a crackling sound from short-circuited circuits.
"I'm just telling you," Ocpie said through gritted teeth, his pain concealed behind his Battle Armor. Though Qin Weishan couldn't see the anguish on his face, he could hear it in his voice. "I have been your enemy as a prisoner of war from the very beginning. My lover and I never wished to destroy another innocent planet with our own hands, allowing them to repeat past mistakes. But I had to do it for her survival. Now that she is gone, I no longer have any reason to obey Ban Sa."
"So you..." Qin Weishan continued to look at him through his mechanical gauntlet. "Which side are you really on?"
"You." Ocpie pointed at Qin Weishan.
"I deeply regret everything that has happened to this planet. I will dedicate the last meaning of my life to assist you in defending your world; the rest is up to you."
Qin Weishan lowered his hands and gazed at Ocpie with a complex expression. Liang Muqi and Lu Sha slowly turned their heads to look at this alien warrior who felt both familiar and strange. Perhaps he was never truly a villain; he had only acted out of love for his wife. Now, with her departure and the collapse of his emotional support, his calm words resonated like thunder.
Then, Ocpie turned and lifted Xiar's lifeless body into his arms. A powerful magnetic energy erupted from him as he suddenly took flight; his figure grew smaller against the vastness of the sky. The enormous form of the Judgment Day battleship loomed in the distance, casting a sorrowful shadow over him as he headed towards it.
"Uh... what is he planning to do?" Madwoman asked as her left leg regenerated. She stood up with difficulty, leaning on Qin Weishan's arm for support. Liang Muqi unlocked his helmet and joined them.
"By the looks of it, he's probably going to crash into Judgment Day," Liang Muqi said. "Perhaps for him, sacrifice is the best outcome."
Just as Liang Muqi predicted, moments after he spoke, they looked up from the ground and saw a blue orb of light detonating against the massive hull of Judgment Day battleship. The explosion echoed through the rain like thunder from the heavens—a deafening roar reverberating in their ears. The light seemed to ripple across the vast battleship as an electromagnetic pulse powerful enough to obliterate something larger than the moon spread throughout Judgment Day.
