The sky was overcast, and a chilling atmosphere enveloped the foot of Mount Daxing. The mist swirled among the mountains, resembling a giant dragon coiling in wait. Liu Bei, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei led five hundred local warriors, already gathered at the base of the mountain. Their weapons glinted coldly, and their rough armor could not conceal the determination in their eyes. In the distance, the banners of the Yellow Turban Army fluttered like a storm, and the battle cries echoed through the forest. 0

Liu Bei rode forward at the front of his troops, flanked by Guan Yu and Zhang Fei, standing shoulder to shoulder. He looked up at the overwhelming formation of the Yellow Turban Army, took a deep breath, and felt no fear in his heart. Drawing his sword, he pointed its tip at the enemy and shouted loudly, "Yellow Turbans, you rebels! Today, you shall be buried here!" 0

As the two armies faced off, a figure emerged from the ranks of the Yellow Turban Army—it was Cheng Yuanzhi. Clad in rough cloth armor with a fierce expression, he bellowed, "You vermin of Zhuo County dare to challenge me, Cheng Yuanzhi? Are you seeking death?" 0

Liu Bei urged his horse forward, raising his whip to point at Cheng Yuanzhi while angrily retorting, "Cheng Yuanzhi, you traitor! You have brought suffering to countless lives. Today, you will not escape! Dismount and surrender at once; I may spare your life!" 0

Enraged by Liu Bei's words, Cheng Yuanzhi slammed his hand on his saddle and shouted, "The Yellow Turbans are destined to prevail! How dare you rabble act so arrogantly! Deng Mao, bring me his head!" 0

Beside Cheng Yuanzhi, his deputy Deng Mao charged forward on horseback, wielding an iron spear aimed directly at Liu Bei and his companions with fierce momentum. However, Zhang Fei let out a hearty laugh and raised his Eighteen-Feet Serpent Spear. With a sharp jab to his horse's belly, he surged forward like an enraged tiger. 0

"Little thief, do you dare to come to your death?" Zhang Fei's voice thundered as he shook the spear. The spearhead lunged toward Deng Mao's chest. In an instant, there was a flash of cold light as the spear pierced through armor; blood splattered everywhere as Deng Mao let out a horrified scream before tumbling off his horse and crashing to the ground—lifeless. 0

Zhang Fei raised his bloodied spear and pointed it toward the ranks of the Yellow Turban Army, roaring, "Who else dares to come and die?" 0

The morale of the Yellow Turban Army faltered momentarily. Yet Cheng Yuanzhi's fury intensified upon witnessing his deputy's demise. Gritting his teeth, he spurred his horse forward with a great sword aimed directly at Zhang Fei. His horse galloped like the wind while his blade gleamed like snow as he bore down on Zhang Fei with lethal intent. 0

"Foolish man!" Guan Yu scoffed coldly as he urged his horse forward to meet him. His Green Dragon Crescent Blade sliced through the air with a chilling whistle as it arced brilliantly. Before Cheng Yuanzhi could close in, he felt an icy dread wash over him. He barely managed to raise his sword in defense but was shaken by Guan Yu's tremendous strength; he lost control of his mount. 0

"Cut!" Guan Yu shouted fiercely as he brought down his blade with unrelenting force. Cheng Yuanzhi had no time to react; in a flash of steel, he was cleaved in two. Blood gushed forth like a fountain, splattering across the ground. His head rolled away from his body, eyes wide open in disbelief at his fate. 0

Panic erupted within the ranks of the Yellow Turban Army as soldiers witnessed their leader fall. They cried out in alarm and scattered like leaves blown by a storm; their morale crumbled like a house of cards. Seeing this chaos unfold, Liu Bei raised his sword high and called out loudly, "Brothers! The leader of the Yellow Turbans has been slain; their remnants are nothing to fear! Charge with me and slay these rebels!" 0

With Cheng Yuanzhi dead, disorder swept through the Yellow Turban Army as soldiers fled like headless flies in all directions. Without hesitation, Liu Bei waved his sword and shouted, "Pursue! Leave no thief behind!" The five hundred local warriors surged forward like tigers descending from the mountain as they hunted down the fleeing Yellow Turban Army. The earth trembled beneath them as battle cries roared like thunder; birds took flight from the trees in panic and soared across the gray sky above. 0

Pursuing relentlessly, swords and blades clashed continuously, blood splattering across the armor. Liu Bei's hands, gripping his sword, had grown numb and sore, yet his gaze remained sharp and unwavering. Along the way, soldiers of the Yellow Turban Army dropped their weapons and knelt in surrender, while the fields were piled high with bound captives. The setting sun cast a blood-red hue over the battlefield as Liu Bei's forces finally came to a halt; thousands of captives were taken, and the Yellow Turban Army was nearly annihilated. 0

Upon returning to Zhuo County, Governor Liu Yan awaited them at the city gate. Seeing Liu Bei and his companions covered in blood yet still spirited, with five hundred local warriors behind them brimming with pride, he couldn't help but laugh heartily. "Nephew Xuan De is indeed extraordinary! To annihilate the enemy in one battle is truly a blessing for Youzhou!" 0

Liu Bei dismounted and knelt alongside Guan Yu and Zhang Fei, respectfully saying, "Governor, you flatter us. This victory is due to the unity of our entire army." Liu Yan personally helped him up and then turned to the soldiers behind him, announcing loudly, "All who have contributed shall be rewarded! Follow me into the city to celebrate our victory!" 0

That night, Zhuo County was ablaze with lights as the soldiers gathered in Liu Yan's residence for a grand feast filled with wine and meat to celebrate their great triumph. However, just as the banquet was halfway through, a messenger rushed in, kneeling to present an urgent report from Governor Gong Jing of Qingzhou: "The Yellow Turban Army is besieging Qingzhou! The city is in grave danger; we seek your aid!" 0

Liu Yan's expression darkened as he trembled slightly while holding the document. After pondering for a moment, he looked at Liu Bei and said, "Nephew, the Yellow Turbans are powerful. If Qingzhou falls, it could lead to chaos across the land. What do you think we should do?" 0

Liu Bei straightened his back and replied solemnly, "I am willing to lead an army for rescue! If we can defeat the Yellow Turbans, we can stabilize Qingzhou and alleviate pressure on Youzhou." 0

Upon hearing this, Liu Yan nodded and summoned Zou Jing, ordering him to command five thousand troops alongside Liu Bei, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei to march to Qingzhou. 0

Three days later, the rescue army arrived outside Qingzhou City. From afar, they could see thick smoke rising from the city walls; the Yellow Turban Army surrounded it like an impenetrable iron barrel, their shouts of battle deafening. Liu Bei dismounted and stood on a high ground, surveying the enemy camp and estimating their numbers to be at least tens of thousands. He turned to Zou Jing and said, "The Yellow Turban Army is formidable; we must first ascertain their strength before engaging directly." 0

However, the Yellow Turban Army had already spotted the rescue forces. A subordinate general raised a large flag and commanded his soldiers to split their ranks and charge forward like a tide sweeping over a mountain. Seeing this, Liu Bei immediately ordered his troops to engage in battle; yet with such a disparity in numbers—tens of thousands against them—his forces soon began to falter. 0

On the battlefield, blades flashed like lightning as rivers of blood flowed. Zhang Fei wielded his Eighteen-Feet Serpent Spear with ferocity, darting left and right like a fierce tiger among the enemy ranks, causing chaos within the Yellow Turban Army; Guan Yu's broadsword gleamed coldly as each strike felled several foes. Liu Bei commanded from the center, wielding his sword to protect the core of his troops. Yet ultimately overwhelmed by sheer numbers, their rescue army soon fell into disarray. 0

Seeing that their formation was on the verge of collapse, Liu Bei decisively sounded the retreat order and led his troops back thirty miles to establish camp in a strategically advantageous location. As night fell, flickering flames illuminated the camp; soldiers were exhausted and groans filled the air. 0

Inside his tent, Liu Bei wore a grave expression as he spread out a map before him with focused eyes. Guan Yu and Zhang Fei waited silently beside him until Zhang Fei could no longer contain himself. "Brother Xuan De," he exclaimed, "how can we retreat? Let us fight fiercely tomorrow! I Zhang Fei do not believe these bandits are truly unbeatable!" 0

Liu Bei raised his head, his gaze calm and resolute. "Bravery without strategy is futile. The Yellow Turban Army is numerous, and to confront them head-on would be akin to seeking our own destruction. We must use cunning to achieve victory." 0

Guan Yu nodded slightly. "Brother Xuan De, what brilliant plan do you have? Please speak freely." 0

Liu Bei pointed to the map and said in a low voice, "This area has treacherous terrain. We can divide our forces for an ambush. Yun Chung, you will lead a thousand troops to lie in wait on the left side of the mountain, while Yi De will take another thousand to the right. I will remain in the center to set up camp and draw the enemy into attacking us. When their forces charge toward the center, I will sound the signal with a gong. At that moment, both sides will strike together and attack their flanks. We will surely be able to rout the enemy!" 0

Zhang Fei's eyes lit up at these words, filled with enthusiasm. "Excellent! This time, I will make sure they are thrown into disarray!" Guan Yu nodded steadily. "This plan is feasible. Tomorrow, Brother Xuan De, please proceed with caution. We will not let you down." 0
