Anna, Jack, and Lisa left the café, and the situation on the street had become even more chaotic. In the distance, the sound of sirens and screams could be heard, and there was a sense of panic in the air. The three of them decided to go back to the dormitory, gather some essentials, and then find a relatively safe place to hide.
"We need to hurry, while we still have time," Jack urged.
Anna nodded and they quickened their pace, running towards the dormitory. Once back at the dorm, Anna and Lisa quickly packed some clothes and food, as well as gathered some first aid supplies. Jack stood guard at the door, keeping an eye on the outside.
"Where are we going now?" Lisa asked nervously, her hands trembling slightly.
"We can go to the school gym first. The defense facilities there are better, and there's enough space to accommodate more people," Jack suggested.
Anna nodded, "Okay, let's go to the gym. It should be safer there."
The three quickly left the dormitory and ran towards the gym. The campus was already in chaos, with many students and faculty members running around, trying to avoid those who had gone mad.

On the way to the gym, there were suddenly a few screams. Anna turned around and saw several students being attacked by a group of ferocious-looking people, their eyes filled with crazy and bloodthirsty desire, like zombies.
"Hurry!" Jack shouted, pulling Anna and Lisa to quicken their pace.
They rushed into the gymnasium, where they found many students and faculty members gathered. Fear and confusion were written on everyone's faces, as if they had not fully accepted the reality before them.
"We need to find a safe place to stay," Jack said, looking around and finding that the equipment room in the gym was a good choice.
The three of them hid in the equipment room and closed the door. There were some simple fitness equipment and sports supplies inside. Although the space was not large, it was enough for them to temporarily avoid danger.
"Now we need to calm down and find a way to protect ourselves," Anna said, trying to make her voice sound as calm as possible.
Jack nodded. "I will try to find more food and water. We need to be prepared for a long stay."
Lisa tightly held Anna's hand, her eyes filled with fear and unease. "Anna, can we make it through this?"
Anna patted Lisa's hand, trying to reassure her. "We definitely can, as long as we stick together."
However, the good times did not last. Just when they felt temporarily safe, there came a knocking at the door and a commotion outside. Anna and Jack exchanged a glance, a sense of foreboding rising in their hearts.
"Who is it?" Jack walked to the door and asked in a low voice.
"It's us, open the door quickly!" Several familiar voices came from outside, seemingly their classmates.
Jack hesitated for a moment, then decided to open the door. As soon as the door opened, several classmates rushed in, their faces pale and tense.
"Quick, close the door!" a boy shouted, with a few bloodstains on his face, clearly having just experienced a thrilling escape.
Jack quickly closed the door and turned to ask, "What's going on?"
"Outside... those people have gone crazy, they're attacking us, biting people..." a girl said, trembling, her eyes filled with fear.
Anna felt a tightness in her chest, knowing that things were worse than they had imagined. She walked over to her classmates, trying to reassure them: "Don't worry, we will find a way. If we all come together, we can definitely get through this."
However, at that moment, an accident occurred. A boy suddenly clutched his stomach, fell to the ground in pain. His body began to convulse, and his eyes gradually turned bloodshot.
"He's been bitten!" Lisa screamed, taking a few steps back.
"Get away from him!" Jack shouted, pulling Anna and Lisa to the side.
The boy began to twist frantically, emitting a low growl from his mouth. His fingers became stiff, as if controlled by some force. After a few seconds, he suddenly stood up, his eyes becoming wild, and he lunged towards the nearest classmate.
"Run!" Anna shouted, quickly escaping the equipment room with Lisa and Jack.

They rushed out of the gym and found the situation outside even more chaotic. Zombies had already begun to rampage through the campus, infecting many students and faculty members, turning them into terrifying monsters.
"We can't stay here, we need to find a safer place," Jack said as he pulled Anna and Lisa to run outside the campus.
They ran out of the campus and arrived at a relatively quiet street. The situation here seemed slightly better, but it was still not optimistic. There were some abandoned vehicles and debris scattered on the road, and in the distance, they could still hear the low growls of zombies.
"Let's go to the suburbs, there are fewer people there, it might be safer," Jack suggested.
Anna nodded, "Okay, let's leave here as soon as possible."
Three people cautiously moved forward, avoiding the attention of the zombies. They passed by a small supermarket and decided to go in to find some supplies. The supermarket was empty, with only a few scattered food and drinks left on the shelves.
"Hurry, grab some food and water, we need to leave as soon as possible," Jack said, picking up a backpack and starting to pack food and water.
Anna and Lisa also acted quickly, trying to grab as many essentials as possible. Just as they were getting ready to leave, they suddenly heard footsteps.
"Someone's coming!" Anna said alertly.
Several figures appeared at the entrance of the supermarket, their eyes gleaming with greed, clearly also there to find food. But when they saw Anna and her two companions, a hint of hostility appeared in their eyes.
"This is our territory, get out!" said the leader of the group, a man holding an iron rod, clearly not someone to be trifled with.
Jack stood in front of Anna and Lisa, calmly saying, "We don't want trouble, we just came to get some supplies and then we'll leave."
The man sneered, "You leave? Leave behind your stuff, then get lost!"
Anna felt a wave of anger, but she knew it wasn't the time to act impulsively. She tugged at Jack's sleeve, signaling him to stay calm.
"Alright, let's go," Jack said helplessly. He put down the backpack and took Anna and Lisa to leave.
At the moment they turned around, the man suddenly swung an iron rod towards the back of Jack's head. Jack reacted quickly, dodging to the side, but still got grazed on the shoulder, causing him to step back in pain.
"Run!" Anna shouted, as she and Lisa quickly pulled Jack out of the supermarket.
They ran onto the street and heard the abusive shouts from the group behind them, but no one caught up. Anna breathed a sigh of relief and stopped to support Jack.
"Are you okay?" she asked with concern.
Jack nodded through gritted teeth, "It's okay, just a scratch. We need to leave here quickly."
The three continued on and finally found a relatively safe place - an abandoned warehouse. Although it was run-down, at least there were no signs of zombies for the time being.
"We'll rest here for a while and then figure out our next steps," Jack said, leaning against the wall and holding his injured shoulder.
Anna and Lisa nodded, and they found some old fabric and cardboard to lay on the ground, making do as a makeshift bed.
"We need to find a safer place, this is not a long-term solution," Anna said, looking at Jack with determination.
Jack nodded, "Yes, we must find a place where we can hide for the long term, and then figure out a way to contact the outside world for help."
