As a high school student, Ye Fangfei came from a family of workers, which was certainly better off than the family of her potential match. Hao Chunying, worried about her daughter, took the time to explain everything in detail to her. 0

Ye Fangfei listened obediently, nodding occasionally to show that she understood. This encouraged Hao Chunying to continue her lecture. After all, her daughter had spent most of her time in school and had little knowledge of the complexities of adult life. Chunying seized the opportunity to teach her as much as she could. 0

In Ye Fangfei's previous world, no one had taught her these things; she had learned through her own struggles and hardships. Now that Hao Chunying was willing to impart her wisdom, even though Fangfei already knew many of the lessons from her years in the workplace, she cherished the pure maternal love that Chunying offered and was happy to cooperate. 0

When Ye Jianguo returned home, he found the two of them engaged in a lively conversation, creating a harmonious atmosphere. "What are you two so happy about?" he asked, handing the meat he had bought to Hao Chunying. 0

Ye Jianguo had taken the day off because his only daughter was going on a blind date, and he wanted to accompany her to see what it was like. Earlier that morning, Chunying had sent him out to buy meat. 0

Chunying thought about how her older sister had been busy introducing potential matches for Fangfei. Although she was family and there was no need for formality, Chunying still wanted to take this opportunity to invite her sister and brother-in-law over for a meal. Whether it was to express gratitude or simply to gather together, she felt it was important. 0

So early in the morning, she had sent Ye Jianguo out to queue for meat and vegetables. 0

"Dad, you're back! Come eat!" Ye Fangfei exclaimed as she saw him return and hurried to serve him some porridge. 0

"Hey, my dear daughter, make sure you dress nicely later; we can't let anyone look down on us," Ye Jianguo said as he noticed Fangfei still wearing old clothes. 0

Hao Chunying had been so focused on teaching her daughter about life that she momentarily forgot this crucial detail. "Yes, your dad is right. Regardless of how it goes, we should present ourselves well." 0

"Didn't you just make a skirt? Go change into it! We want to look our best," Chunying quickly added. 0

Fangfei felt awkward about needing to change for a blind date and thought about how uncomfortable it made her feel. "Is it really necessary? I think this is fine," she replied. 0

"Of course it's necessary! Hurry up and change; we agreed on eight o'clock, and we need to leave soon," Hao Chunying insisted as she gently pushed Ye Fangfei toward her room. 0

Ye Fangfei realized that she couldn't change her mother's decision, so she reluctantly went back to her room to change clothes. 0

In this era, there were quite a few clothes available. She had three skirts, one of which she had made just a couple of days ago. She slipped into a sky-blue shirt dress and then put on a pair of small shoes that her mother had always hesitated to wear. After tying her hair up in a high ponytail, at the age of eighteen, she didn't even need makeup to look radiant. 0

Ye Fangfei glanced at herself in the small round mirror on the table and nodded in satisfaction. 0

At that moment, Hao Chunying was outside calling for her, "Feifei, are you ready? Your aunt is here; we need to go." 0

"I'm ready," Ye Fangfei replied, giving her hair one last adjustment before stepping outside. 0

Outside, Hao Chunying was talking with her older sister, Hao Chunmei, who was Ye Fangfei's aunt. As Ye Fangfei emerged, she called out, "Auntie, I'm here!" 0
