"Chunying, I heard Feifei went on a blind date? How did it go?" Sun Dajie approached Gao Chunying after seeing her finish her tasks. 0

"It was alright. Jian Guo and I think the young man is not bad; we know his background, so we decided to let them get to know each other first," Gao Chunying replied cautiously, not wanting to get her hopes too high. 0

Then, Gao Chunying casually asked Sun Dajie, "How did you find out that Feifei went on a blind date?" 0

She found it strange; she hadn’t mentioned Feifei’s dating situation to anyone, so how did Sun Dajie know? 0

"I heard it from Wang Dazui. It’s not something that can’t be shared," Sun Dajie explained. 0

Gao Chunying realized it was indeed him. When they left, Wang Dazui had been peeking through their window. 0

She hadn’t told anyone because she was worried the date might not go well, but now that both sides were interested, there was no need to hide it anymore. 0

"I knew it was him; he’s the most talkative in our courtyard," Gao Chunying said. 0

"Well, we’ve been neighbors for so many years; how could we not know him?" Sun Dajie chuckled. 0

"True, he can be a bit chatty, but he doesn’t mean any harm," she added with a smile. 0

"I know. Everyone in our courtyard is pretty good. Although there are some minor conflicts from time to time, we don’t have any major issues," Gao Chunying said gratefully. 0

"Exactly! Just next door, they had another fight yesterday. They said the child from the Lao Kou family stole some braised ribs from the Zhang family." 0

"The two families argued fiercely. One said their child didn’t understand better, while the Lao Kou family insisted that they shouldn’t be quarreling over a child." 0

"The Lao Kou family retorted that if a child steals at three, they’ll steal gold at seven; their child would end up in prison and demanded compensation for the ribs." 0

"Others in the courtyard chimed in too, and it wasn’t until an elder from their courtyard called someone from the street committee that things calmed down," Sun Dajie recounted. 0

"It really is outrageous over there. They fight every few days. It’s a pity I missed the excitement yesterday because I was at work," Gao Chunying lamented. 0

"Hehe, I went to watch yesterday; it was quite entertaining," Sun Dajie said. She usually didn’t work and was always present whenever there was commotion. 0

"I went too! If you ask me, the Lao Kou family had a point; that kid from the Zhang family is indeed spoiled. He’s already ten years old and still stealing food from others." 0

"And I heard this isn’t the first time for him; almost everyone in the big courtyard has been a victim of his thefts." 0

"It’s always just a piece of cake or a couple of candies, so no one made a big deal out of it." 0

"But this time he stole an entire plate of braised ribs from the Lao Kou family." 0

"Those ribs were specially bought to treat his son’s new girlfriend." 0

As a result, the children from the Lao Zhang family ended up stealing some food, and now the Lao Kou family was in a bind. Liu Fang overheard their conversation and joined in. 0

"If I couldn't eat it either, that would be a real shame. It's pork ribs! It's so hard to buy meat these days," she lamented. "If it weren't for entertaining guests, I wouldn't even want to eat it myself, but now someone has stolen it." 0

Anyone would be upset in this situation, especially since it was meant for the future daughter-in-law. If he took it, what would the daughter-in-law eat? There wouldn’t be any meat or vegetables left; wouldn’t she think that the boy's family doesn’t value her? 0

"What if this causes a rift in their relationship?" Hao Chunying added. 0

To be fair, Hao Chunying's worries were not unfounded. In fact, the son from the Lao Kou family had indeed broken things off with his partner over this very issue. 0
