Ye Fangfei nodded and followed Manager Yao down the stairs.
"Xiao Ye, how did you find out about the recruitment at the Goods Building?" Yao Ji-wang asked casually.
Ye Fangfei's heart sank; she knew someone would inevitably inquire about this. After all, the recruitment was not publicly announced, only internally, and here she was, an outsider who managed to get in. Naturally, they would want to find out how that happened.
Feigning indifference, she replied, "Oh, a neighbor of mine told me."
"Who is your neighbor? Is he or she from our Goods Building? Maybe I know them?" Yao Ji-wang pressed on.
Ye Fangfei thought to herself, "Of course you know her; you're quite familiar with her." But outwardly, she said, "My neighbor is Yao Feixue; she works on the fourth floor."
Upon hearing this, Yao Ji-wang felt satisfied; after all, this was his own daughter. There was no need for further discussion.
"Are you close with Yao Feixue?" he asked cautiously.
"Well enough; we've chatted a few times," Ye Fangfei replied nonchalantly.
Yao Ji-wang understood that Ye Fangfei must have a good relationship with his daughter; otherwise, she wouldn't have received the information. He knew his daughter well enough. While it might be a bit snobbish to say so, she did tend to judge people based on their status. Although that wasn't ideal, it wasn't a major issue either. Since his daughter had shared this news with Ye Fangfei, it meant there was something worth noting about her.
They arrived on the second floor, where Yao Ji-wang continued his introduction. "This floor has two offices: one is the Human Resources Department where you just completed your paperwork, and the other is the Accounting Office." He opened the door to the room, and Ye Fangfei followed him inside.
There were only two people in the room. Yao Ji-wang clapped his hands twice until both looked up at him before he introduced, "This is our new accountant, Ye Fangfei. From now on, we'll be comrades in arms. Please welcome her."
The two put down their pens and calculators and clapped their hands together in greeting.
Ye Fangfei smiled at them and said, "Hello to both of you! I'm Ye Fangfei; I look forward to working with you."
"Hello, hello, my name is Wang Dan. I'm the cashier, and from now on, we'll be partners."
Wang Dan, in her thirties, has been working as a cashier in the goods building for over ten years.
"Hello, Sister Wang," Ye Fangfei greeted politely.
The other person was the one who had given her directions earlier, also the one she had seen at the examination venue three days ago.
"Hello, Comrade Ye," Wang Jingli introduced Ye Fangfei. "This is Accountant Wang. You'll be learning from her for the next few days."
"Hello, Uncle Wang. I hope to not trouble you too much," Ye Fangfei said with a smile.
"Not at all. I noticed your calculating skills; did you study this specifically?" Accountant Wang asked, intrigued by Ye Fangfei.
Her calculating technique didn't seem like that of a novice; it appeared she had received specialized training.
However, considering her educational background was only high school, could it be that someone in her family worked in this field?
If that were the case, then the person who taught her must be quite skilled.
That's why she couldn't help but ask as soon as they met.
"Yes, I studied it specifically," Ye Fangfei replied.
This was something that couldn't be hidden; she wouldn't pretend to be ignorant if she truly wasn't.
