With that thought, after coaxing her daughter to sleep, Ye Fangfei went to the kitchen to prepare the dough. Then she took out some vegetables to chop for the filling. At this time, there were no other vegetables available except for radishes.

Ye Fangfei worked quickly and efficiently; in just over half an hour, she had wrapped two trays of dumplings. She boiled ten for lunch and froze the rest for later.
Once the dumplings were ready, she brought them into the room only to find her daughter waking up.
"Ah, little moon is awake! How are you so good? Were you waiting for Mommy? Mommy will feed you right away!" Ye Fangfei set down her bowl and hurried to feed her daughter.
After finally taking care of her daughter, she picked up her bowl to eat. Just then, someone knocked on the door.
With no choice but to open it first, Ye Fangfei called out, "Who is it?"
"Feifei, it's me," came a voice from outside—Yi Xiaoli.
Hearing her sister-in-law's voice, Ye Fangfei quickly opened the door. "Sister-in-law, what brings you here? Come in!"
As she spoke and saw Yi Xiaoli looking disheveled outside, Ye Fangfei was taken aback.
"Sister-in-law, what happened to you?" Ye Fangfei asked in surprise.
Yi Xiaoli touched one side of her swollen face; before she could speak, tears began streaming down her cheeks.
"Feifei, your brother wants to divorce me," Yi Xiaoli said, her voice choked with emotion.
Ye Fangfei was taken aback. "How could this be? Why would my brother want to divorce you?"
"Feifei, you have to help me talk to your brother. I don't want a divorce," Yi Xiaoli pleaded, her desperation evident.
Ye Fangfei could tell that this matter likely had something to do with Yi Xiaoli's family. Otherwise, Yi Xiaoli wouldn't be so hesitant to respond.
To be honest, Ye Fangfei didn't want to get involved in her affairs. However, since Yi Xiaoli had come to her, she felt obligated to help.
"Sister-in-law, please come in," Ye Fangfei said, ushering Yi Xiaoli into the house.
Once inside, Ye Fangfei poured a cup of hot water for Yi Xiaoli. "Sister-in-law, have some water to warm yourself up. Have you eaten? If not, I can make you some dumplings."
"I'm not hungry; you don't need to fuss over me," Yi Xiaoli replied.
"What time is it? How can you not be hungry? Just sit for a moment; the dumplings are ready. I'll cook you a bowl," Ye Fangfei insisted before stepping out of the room.
Left alone, Yi Xiaoli sat in the living room, reflecting on the harsh words that Ye Zijun had spoken before she ran out. She felt both scared and frustrated, wondering if Ye Zijun was just trying to intimidate her or if he truly wanted to end their marriage and leave her behind.
