After Li Ruofeng left, Hongling happily gave Jinsha a thumbs up, sincerely praising her, "Thank goodness for you, Jinsha!"

Gu Yan knew that Li Ruofeng often sought reasons to ask for money in front of Gu Qing Ning's sisters. They were easy to deal with; whatever amount they asked for was given without hesitation.
However, ever since Gu Qing Ning recovered from her high fever, she seemed like a different person altogether.
Furrowing her brows, she asked with confusion in her tone, "Mother, have you noticed that ever since Gu Qing Ning recovered from her fever, she seems much sharper? It's as if she's transformed into someone entirely different."
At first, Gu Yan hadn't noticed anything unusual about Gu Qing Ning.
As the mother and daughter repeatedly failed to gain any advantage from Gu Qingning, she began to sense that Gu Qingning seemed to have changed into a different person. She pondered over it but found no signs of anything amiss with Gu Qingning, so she had no choice but to give up.
