Until midnight, Wu Rong finally emerged to finish Rao Jie’s dessert, then contentedly returned to embrace Rao Jie and fall asleep. Gradually, the two of them found a rhythm in their interactions, allowing Wu Rong to settle his emotions.

In the days that followed, Rao Jie continued to work at the Dessert Shop. One day during her shift, an unexpected visitor arrived—someone Rao Jie never anticipated would show up there. The woman stood before Rao Jie with an imposing presence.
Feeling a bit awkward under the woman’s gaze, Rao Jie stammered, “H-hello… are you looking for Wu Rong?”
The visitor was Nina, whom Rao Jie had encountered in Romantic Country. Nina squinted at Rao Jie for a moment before saying, “No, I’m looking for you.”
Rao Jie looked at Nina with confusion. The other colleagues nearby sensed the indescribable tension and instinctively stepped back.
“May I ask what you need?” Rao Jie couldn’t help but inquire.
Nina didn’t answer directly; instead, she arrogantly surveyed the surroundings and remarked, “Is this your job? Just a part-time gig? A waitress?”
Nina’s gaze made Rao Jie uncomfortable, as if she were being looked down upon. “This is a part-time job; I’m still studying,” she replied.
Nina chuckled lightly and said, “Right, you’re the same age as his sister. That means you’re in your senior year. Before she went abroad, she was studying economics. So you’re also a senior in economics working at the Dessert Shop?”
Rao Jie frowned and responded, “I plan to continue my studies in graduate school, so I’m not looking for internships right now.”
Nina raised an eyebrow in surprise. “I wouldn’t have guessed you were someone focused on academia.”
Rao Jie paused; her pursuit of graduate studies wasn’t solely for theoretical research.
Nina squinted at her for a moment before saying, “I don’t know much about your country’s situation, but doesn’t your life seem a bit too casual?”
Rao Jie’s expression changed; maintaining her polite demeanor was becoming increasingly difficult.
"What do you want? We don't know each other, right? If you're looking for Wu Rong, go to his house. Since you know so much about his sister, you must know where he lives as well," Rao Jie said, her irritation evident.
Nina looked at Rao Jie, who was fuming with anger, and couldn't help but laugh. With an air of arrogance, she leaned against the counter and said, "I've already told you, I'm here to find you. I hope you... leave Wu Rong!"
"What did you say?!" A furious voice suddenly echoed from the doorway.
Wu Rong had intended to arrive early to wait for Rao Jie. He often came to her when he needed a break from his research, but today, he was taken aback to hear someone encouraging Rao Jie to break up with him. This was simply crossing a line!
Wu Rong strode in with a grim expression.
Rao Jie finally let out a sigh of relief; she really couldn't handle someone like Nina—too domineering and impossible to argue with. Thankfully, Wu Rong had arrived just in time to rescue her.

Facing Wu Rong's furious expression, Nina seemed completely unfazed. There was no hint of guilt for trying to persuade someone to break up; instead, she adopted a nonchalant attitude.
