Yuan Yixun embarked on the difficult journey to investigate the two girls who accompanied her sister to death—the Twin Sisters. 0

In this world, as long as one's determination is strong enough, things often get done. Before long, the mother of the Twin Sisters agreed to meet with Yuan Yixun. 0

She was a mother whose heart was shattered and on the brink of collapse. When Yuan Yixun entered her home, the sun had already risen high in the sky, yet this woman sat on the bed with disheveled hair, covered by a blanket that seemed to have not seen sunlight for ages, exuding an air of despair. 0

The man of the house glanced coldly at Yuan Yixun upon her arrival and then left without a word, the sound of the door slamming echoing painfully in the silent room. 0

“I’m sorry to disturb you at such a time,” Yuan Yixun said as she stood by the bed, slightly bowing her head in awkwardness, her hands nervously tugging at her clothes. For a moment, she didn’t know what to say. 0

“It’s fine. If I don’t talk to someone soon, I might really go insane,” the woman forced a smile that was more grotesque than crying, her eyes staring blankly into the distance. 0

“I just want to know… why my sister was with your daughter when she… committed suicide,” Yuan Yixun asked cautiously, her voice trembling slightly. 0

The woman stared blankly at Yuan Yixun for a moment before suddenly breaking into an odd laugh. The laughter felt jarring in the quiet room; yet as she laughed, tears uncontrollably streamed down her face. 0

“I want to know too, why my daughter chose to commit suicide without pulling me, her mother, along but instead took a complete stranger from the internet. How cruel are these two debt collectors? Why didn’t they take me with them?” 0

“A complete stranger? An online friend?” Yuan Yixun repeated the woman's words in confusion, shock and bewilderment etched across her face. It was only on this day that she realized her sister had never had any real-life interaction with the Twin Sisters. Her sister had decided to end her life and randomly sought out two girls online to join her in death. 0

At this point, the clues came to another abrupt halt, as reality seemed to coldly mock Yuan Yixun: 0

“Stop avoiding it; Xiaoxuan hated you so much that she chose to die. It has nothing to do with anything else—she was driven to it by you!” 0

The nightmare continued to haunt her like a shadow, wrapping around her tightly every night, and the results of her desperate search were nothing but heartbreaking disappointments time and again. 0

That night, she dreamt of her sister again. The dream felt so real; her sister was covered in blood, her body shattered in a way that pierced Yuan Yixun’s heart. 0

In the dream, she cried out loud, shouting, “If you hate me, why don’t you kill me instead of killing yourself?” 0

Blood flowed from her sister's eyes. It was the first time her sister spoke in a dream; she slowly extended her blood-stained finger and pointed at the computer in the room. 0

“It's gone. Where is it?” 0

In the darkness, Yuan Yixun suddenly woke up, her forehead drenched in cold sweat. She stared blankly at the computer, sitting there dazed for an entire night, her thoughts tangled like a mess of threads. 0

After finishing her story, Yuan Yixun forced a bitter smile and quietly looked at the three others present. 0

“Do you think I killed my sister? Should I give my life back to her? Am I the one who deserves to die?” 0

An Sifei held her wine glass, thoughtfully sipping the red wine. Lao Wu could only sigh helplessly, left speechless. Only Lin Jian wore a mocking smile on his face. 0

“I say, little sister, you really have quite the imagination, don’t you?” Lin Jian scoffed dismissively, a smirk playing on his lips with a hint of sarcasm. 0

“What do you mean? Are you saying I’m lying?” Yuan Yixun suppressed her inner anger, clenching her fists tightly until her nails nearly dug into her palms. 0

“Well, this kind of lowbrow story is just pathetic. How can you even bring it up? Can’t you come up with something more original? It’s precisely because there are too many boring people and things in this world that I don’t want to live anymore.” 0

Yuan Yixun was furious, slamming her hand on the table with a loud "bang." She picked up the wine glass and pretended to splash the wine at Lin Jian. Lin Jian, startled like a frightened rabbit, quickly jumped up and hid behind An Sifei, a hint of panic on his face. 0

"Getting angry will only cloud your judgment. Why are you so worked up? Besides, I didn’t say anything wrong. Last month, out of boredom, I read a mystery novel that was eight parts similar to your story. It was called 'Mutual Destruction.' If you don’t believe me, come to my place now, and I’ll show it to you. But hurry up; we can't delay our group suicide," Lin Jian shouted, drawing curious glances from others in the bar. 0

Yuan Yixun paused for a moment after hearing him, then suddenly burst into laughter, though there was a hint of bitterness in her smile. She sat back down and took a big gulp of red wine. 0

"How terrible it is that you exposed me," Lao Wu said in surprise, his mouth agape and eyes wide. "Wait, were you really just making up stories?" 0

"Yes, Uncle Wu. My dream is to become a mystery novelist. In my final moments, I want to tell a story for everyone as my last wish. Isn’t that reasonable?" Yuan Yixun's eyes reflected a sense of helplessness and self-mockery. 0

"That’s not unreasonable, but your story is just too bad," Lin Jian said triumphantly, feeling like a genius for uncovering Yuan Yixun's secret. He shook his head and swayed his body with glee. 0

An Sifei had remained silent until now. After finishing her last sip of red wine, impatience began to show on her face. 0

"We’ve chatted enough; let’s get back to the point. I’ve already decided how to die. Yesterday, I rented a room in a nearby community and prepared sleeping pills. We can go there now, turn on the gas, take the pills, and it’ll all be over. This method is the least painful, and I’ve heard that after death, the face looks very rosy—it's also the most beautiful way to die." An Sifei spoke about this as casually as if discussing shopping at the mall. Everyone stared at her in shock, their faces revealing various emotions: surprise, hesitation, and a hint of fear. 0

"Wow! Sister, you’re so bold and unique! If it weren’t for our group suicide today, I’d definitely pursue you," Lin Jian said with a flippant smile, though a trace of unease flickered in his eyes. 0

"Enough nonsense; I agree," Yuan Yixun said firmly, her voice steady. 0

"Then… I agree too," Lao Wu sighed deeply again, as if trying to exhale all his helplessness and sorrow in that one breath. 0
