Du Hengyan nodded slightly, just about to dive back into work when he heard Ye Qi hesitantly say, "Boss, it seems there have been some changes regarding that young lady."

"Very well," he declared decisively. "I will return to the country."
Ye Qi seemed unsurprised by Du Hengyan's response.
"However, there have been severe storms recently in the country, causing all direct flights to be delayed."
"Then I'll fly myself."
Veins bulged on Du Hengyan's forehead as his voice echoed through the office. Ye Qi understood that Du Hengyan was genuinely angry this time; his gloomy expression seemed capable of dripping ink.
"I'll arrange everything immediately. But, Boss, do you need me to accompany you back?" Ye Qi hesitated for a moment before asking this question. He was aware of his own status and position while also holding deep respect and loyalty towards Du Hengyan.
Du Hengyan narrowed his eyes slightly, his gaze sharp and penetrating as he fixed it on Ye Qi. He did not answer immediately.
After a moment, Du Hengyan slowly spoke up, "You should go back and take a look."
Ye Qi was taken aback, a complex emotion flashing in his eyes. He understood what Du Hengyan meant, and a wave of warmth and gratitude surged within him. However, he did not forget his responsibilities and continued to ask, "Do you need me to inform the Ye family about your itinerary?"
"Not for now. I want to see what kind of storm this city can stir up," Du Hengyan replied, his tone revealing both authority and disdain. It was just a mere city; he did not consider it worthy of his attention. Anyone daring to challenge Du Hengyan should know that it was time for this city to undergo some changes.
Ye Qi realized that Du Hengyan was genuinely angry this time. His dark expression seemed as if it could drip ink. Ye Qi hesitated over whether or not to inform him about Chi Mu Jiu being caught in the rain. He knew Du Hengyan's temperament; if he truly became enraged, the consequences would be unimaginable. At that moment, Du Hengyan was clearly on the edge of fury.
If he didn't conceal this matter from Du Hengyan, the city would likely face unrest. Du Hengyan's attitude toward Chi Mu Jiu indicated that he intended to demand an explanation from her. With this thought in mind, Ye Qi decided to remain silent for the time being.
