"Then tell me what's bothering you so much that your brows are furrowed into a knot."
His tone softened as he attempted to soothe her anxiety. After taking a deep breath, Chimu Jiu explained the situation.
"So, you're worried that your sister will cause me trouble?"
Du Hengyan raised an eyebrow dismissively, his expression one of indifference.
"Are you not afraid?"
Chi Mu Jiu lifted her head.
"What is there to be afraid of?"
There truly was nothing that could make Du Heng Yan feel fear. He wrapped his arms around Chi Mu Jiu's waist, pulling her closer to him.
"Isn't what I said clear enough? If my dad finds out that I’m keeping a male model and sleeping with you every day, neither of us will end up well."
"So, are you the one who's afraid?"
Du Heng Yan gazed into her eyes, trying to discern the true thoughts hidden deep within her heart.
"I’m not afraid; I just don’t want you to get involved. This is my own business."
"Don’t worry, darling. If it comes to that, I’ll make sure you have a good show to watch."
Du Heng Yan gently kissed her forehead.
"What kind of show?"
Chi Mu Jiu was puzzled; she couldn't understand why Du Heng Yan was so confident.
"A secret."
Du Heng Yan's lips curled into a mysterious smile.
"What secret could a male model possibly have?"
"As long as I'm by your side, no one can touch you—not even if it's your own family."
Chi Mu Jiu was slightly taken aback.
"Really?"
"Yes."
For some reason, this man in front of her gave her an overwhelming sense of security, and this time was no exception.
"Then I’ll reward you with a kiss."
She leaned in for a kiss.
