In fact, there were no friends at all; it was merely that Chi Ciyun had sent someone to follow him and report that Chi Mujiu had bought a house in the suburbs and was living with a man.
The situation earlier could not be described as having someone follow him, so Lei Ji had to fabricate an excuse, claiming it was news from a friend. This way, he would not raise Chi Feng's suspicions while making the entire matter seem more reasonable.
After Lei Ji left, Chi Feng was utterly furious. His chest heaved violently, the veins on his forehead throbbed, and his eyes burned with intense anger.
