The door opened.
"Oh my! There really is a wild man here!"
A sharp gasp erupted among the crowd.
It seemed that Mu Jiu truly had a man hidden away. It appeared that what Young Master Lei and Qi Yun said was indeed true!
As the people outside saw that a man had emerged, they began to whisper among themselves, buzzing like annoying summer mosquitoes.
Du Hengyan stood tall and straight, resembling a proud pine tree. He looked expressionlessly at the group of murmuring onlookers from inside the room.
Chi Feng could no longer deny it; the truth was right before his eyes. The crowd's gaze frequently drifted back to Du Hengyan.
Mu Jiu had a good eye; this man was indeed handsome.
When Chi Qiyun laid eyes on Du Hengyan, she too was captivated by his presence.
He had a tall and well-built physique, with strikingly cold features. His deep-set eyes were tranquil yet mysterious, like an unfathomable cold pool.
His thick eyebrows arched slightly, exuding a sense of sharpness and untamed spirit. His high nose bridge stood straight like a mountain peak, adding depth to his visage. His thin lips were pressed together lightly, hinting at an almost imperceptible coldness that accentuated his stern demeanor.
His short black hair was neatly styled yet casually fell across his forehead, adding to his air of nonchalance.
That damn sister of hers really had her fair share of luck with men.
Du Hengyan's cool gaze swept over the crowd, emanating an aura that warned others to keep their distance.
"Oh, looks like Chi Mu Jiu really has it good!" Ji Yuyan remarked sarcastically.
Chi Feng shot her an annoyed glare, causing Ji Yuyan to immediately shut her mouth.
"See? I told you, Chi Mu Jiu really is keeping a pretty boy at home," someone else chimed in with a tsk.
"What? Calling him pretty boy?"
How could Du Hengyan's strong physique be reduced to such a term?
Du Hengyan's sharp gaze landed on the speaker, who suddenly shivered under the intensity and dared not utter another word.
Not wanting to engage with these people any longer, Du Hengyan turned and walked into the living room.
Blocking someone outside seemed unreasonable, especially since these were all relatives of Chi Mu Jiu, and her own family was present as well.
As soon as Du Hengyan entered the house, the others eagerly followed him inside.
"Oh my, this place is incredible! The decor is so luxurious!"
"The Chi family home isn't even this exquisite!"
"Of course! My little one designed it herself. This place is worth at least a hundred million."
Du Hengyan sat silently on the genuine leather sofa, but inside, he felt a sense of pride. His legs were elegantly crossed, and his hands casually rested on the armrests, exuding an air of innate nobility.
Perhaps hearing others praise Chi Mu Jiu's design work lifted his spirits a bit; the tension in his lips softened into a barely noticeable smile.
Chi Feng noticed that Du Hengyan had not spoken a word since entering, nor had he inquired about their purpose for coming. This left him feeling somewhat dissatisfied. In the city, Chi Feng was a person of some standing; no one had ever ignored him like this before.
Moreover, he had heard that this man was a male model from abroad. His status hardly seemed worthy of the eldest daughter of the Chi family.
Suppressing his anger, Chi Feng took a seat across from Du Hengyan and scrutinized him with an unfriendly gaze.
Although the man before him was impeccably handsome—with sharp eyebrows and bright eyes, chiseled facial features, a straight nose, and thin lips that carried an air of coldness—he was merely a male model in Chi Feng's eyes.
A sense of disdain filled his heart.
