The two stood quietly on the aft deck, enjoying the gentle sea breeze. It felt as though this place had been specially designed for couples to meet in secret, with soft, warm lighting that was far less dazzling than that in the front cabin.
Around them were a few small couples, holding hands and embracing each other, whispering sweet nothings as a sweet atmosphere enveloped the air.
Chimu Jiu rested her hands on the railing, her gaze fixed on the shimmering surface of the sea. The wind tousled her hair, and the graceful arc it formed under the moonlight was particularly enchanting.
"Ever since I met you, everything seems to have become unusually smooth for me. Is there something about you that I don’t know?" she asked softly, her voice as gentle as the sea breeze, laced with a hint of curiosity.
Du Hengyan paused slightly before responding blandly, "Things are smooth because you have someone to back you up; it’s not entirely because of me. Of course, I do play a part."
He answered her question again without outright denying Chimu Jiu's speculation.
"Thank you," she replied, marking the second time that evening she hadn’t retorted his words.
Her simple three words contained endless warmth.
"You're welcome. It's nice that Miss Chimu isn’t too stubborn," Du Hengyan said with a slight smile, his eyes filled with affection.
Chimu Jiu chuckled and looked up at him. "So how do you plan to cherish me?"
The sea breeze gently brushed against her skirt, and beneath the exquisite dark red mask, her beautiful eyes sparkled like clear water.
For a moment, Du Hengyan was captivated by her delicate charm. He leaned down slightly, moving closer to her.
This time, Du Hengyan obediently followed suit, lowering his head just enough to be near her.
Chimu Jiu stood on her tiptoes and pecked him lightly on the cheek through his mask. "Hmm, does this mean I can only exchange one kiss for a hundred million?"
Du Hengyan took the opportunity to pull her into his embrace, his voice teasing yet revealing his desire for her.

Chimu Jiu's voice was firm and powerful, her gaze filled with determination. She understood what this decision meant, but she also knew her heart had already made its choice.
