Another night fell, the moonlight cascading down like mercury upon the earth. The night was so tranquil that one could almost hear the sound of a heartbeat. A gentle evening breeze brushed past, carrying a hint of coolness, and Chi Mu Jiu dozed off on the lounge chair, lost in a haze of slumber. Her face was serene and peaceful, as if she had already immersed herself in a beautiful dream.
It wasn't until the faint light of dawn broke over the horizon and the morning breeze turned chilly that she finally opened her eyes. Her phone still displayed the chat page with Du Hang Yan.
Exiting the chat window, Chi Mu Jiu made a point to check today's trending topics.

One headline after another appeared on the screen. She scrolled through several rounds of trending topics but found no mention of the reporters who had interviewed her.
What was going on? Yesterday, in front of so many media cameras, she had claimed that the yacht auction was something she had participated in together with them. She had expected today’s trending topics to explode with attention, yet as she looked at the continuously refreshing heat rankings, not a single one related to her statement could be found.
Could it be that someone suppressed the news? Or perhaps someone had bought out the information? Chi Mu Jiu was filled with doubt. If someone had indeed spent money to manipulate public opinion, who could that person be?
Was it the Chi Family? She first thought of her father. However, upon further reflection, she dismissed that idea; her father would never do such a thing. Moreover, when she was surrounded by reporters, Chi Feng had been completely unaware.
Then who could it be?
She continued to scroll through the comments under the trending topics, trying to find clues within those brief remarks while filtering through all family enterprises that might have connections to the Chi Family. Names flashed through her mind one after another until all options were exhausted, leaving Chi Mu Jiu still puzzled.
She didn’t know who the mysterious person behind this was or what their intentions might be. But one thing was clear: this matter was certainly not simple.

When faced with such perplexing matters, it was best to keep them hidden. After all, the more one knew, the quicker one could fall into trouble.
She stepped down from the lounge chair and made her way into the house. She needed to organize her belongings; according to what Pei Si had said yesterday, his people should be on their way by now.
Yesterday, she had asked the cook that Huanyan had invited to refrain from coming to her home for a couple of days. Concerned, she had given the woman an extra twenty thousand yuan. A wise person would understand immediately. However, when the cook had looked at her, there had been a strange glint in her eyes.
Chimu Jiu guessed that the woman probably mistook her for a lonely wife yearning for excitement while her husband was away. The thought made Chimu Jiu chuckle, nearly causing her hand to tremble as she applied eyeliner in front of the mirror.
In this complicated world, sometimes one had to make choices that could easily be misunderstood.
After quickly packing her luggage, Chimu Jiu took some bread from the fridge and casually nibbled on it. Just then, as the clock struck eight, the crisp sound of the doorbell rang out punctually.
How timely! Not a second late!
Chimu Jiu mumbled to herself as she hastily swallowed down the bread with some milk. She hurried to the entrance, where she saw Pei Si standing outside her door in a sharply tailored black suit through the electronic monitor.
Taking a moment to steady her emotions, she reached out and opened the door.
As soon as the door swung open, Pei Si spoke: "Miss Chi, it's time for us to leave."
His gaze flicked into the house and landed on the pink suitcase she had set aside. Without hesitation, he stepped inside.
Chimu Jiu intended to stop him, but he moved into her home before she could react.
"It seems Miss Chi is quite earnest; your luggage is already packed," Pei Si remarked with a satisfied nod. "I am more than willing to assist you."
