Chimu Jiu never expected that the gambling game mentioned by Pei Si would take place in a foreign country. As the plane slowly descended, the evening glow bathed the unfamiliar land, filling her with a mix of excitement and unease.
"Miss Chi, rest well tonight. Everything depends on you tomorrow," Pei Si said with a polite smile, standing at the hotel room door. His words conveyed a sense of trust and anticipation.
However, a wave of worry surged within Chi Mu Jiu. She furrowed her brow slightly and said with concern, "I think you should send two people to ensure my safety. Hearing this, Chi Mu Jiu couldn’t help but recall those classic movie scenes where not even a fly could escape. She muttered to herself that this situation felt eerily similar.
"Well, that does make me feel more secure. However, you still need to arrange for two people to protect me," she insisted.
Pei Si chuckled softly and leaned in slightly closer. Chi Mu Jiu's heart skipped a beat, and she quickly stepped back to maintain some distance.
"Why are you getting so close? This isn't being timid; it's called valuing my life," she said, her tone tinged with dissatisfaction and tension.
Had she known this situation would arise, she should have purchased an additional life insurance policy with Du Hengyan as the beneficiary. That way, if anything were to happen to her, Du Hengyan wouldn’t have to suffer too much. The thought brought an inexplicable pang of sadness to her heart.

However, back home, she occasionally came across news about this place. Just recently, an underground fight had caused such a commotion that it drew the attention of local authorities.
The underground black and gray organizations here resembled an unfathomable giant spider web, with a mysterious figure at its center—the ruler of this domain.
