In an instant, she felt a chill run down her spine and instinctively turned her head away. She dared not meet his eyes; her heart raced chaotically in her chest. His voice rumbled like distant thunder in her ears.
His stature, demeanor, and piercing gaze were sharp enough to penetrate one's soul. Wasn't this just a living embodiment of Du Heng Yan? How should she respond? What was she supposed to say?

As soon as those words left his mouth, Du Heng Yan let out a disdainful chuckle, and a murderous intent surged in his deep-set eyes.
"You really know how to find people," he said.
Pei Si was taken aback for a moment, as if he had just realized something. The shock in his blue eyes had not yet faded when a group of people suddenly surged in through the doorway, each holding weapons.
In an instant, everyone behind Pei Si, including him, was subdued before they could even assess the situation. The scene descended into chaos, and a tense atmosphere enveloped the entire card room.
Chi Mu Jiu was also startled by this sudden turn of events. She had never witnessed a scene where dozens of guns were pointed at someone's head.
"Boss Du, what you're doing violates our agreement!" Pei Si exclaimed in panic, raising his hands defensively in front of his chest. He still clung to the hope of reasoning with Du Hengyan, who stood at the center of the group.
"Agreement? I don't recall any agreement. Why don't you enlighten me?" Du Hengyan replied with newfound interest, stepping forward with a steady gait. His mocking gaze was akin to that of a predator observing its trapped prey.
"Our bet..." Pei Si stammered, cold sweat beading on his forehead as he lost all confidence. After all, with so many guns aimed at him, it was uncertain whether this man would act on a whim and turn him into a pincushion.
"You invited me here to gamble?" Du Hengyan took another step closer, causing Pei Si's face to grow even paler as he instinctively took a few steps back.
"Isn't that right, Miss Chi?" He halted in front of her, tilting his head slightly to look at the bewildered Chi Mu Jiu.
After a whirlwind of thoughts, Chi Mu Jiu finally reacted to his words! The man before her, exuding an intimidating aura and brimming with hostility, was indeed Du Hengyan!
"Du Hengyan? How could it be you? What are you doing here?" she stammered, her heart racing as she kept her head lowered.
"I’m the boss here. Where else would I be?" he replied coolly. "But you, Miss Chi, instead of staying home obediently waiting for my return, secretly ran off here to win money from this man beside you and then make your escape?"
Du Heng leaned slightly, his slender fingers gently pinching her chin.
"Are you gambling behind my back? You still have that knack for choosing the right places!"
At such a close distance, she could clearly see the anger and jealousy flickering in his eyes.
