Du Hengyan smiled helplessly and continued, “Those are herbs to relieve your allergies. Don’t worry, I’ve had someone test them; they’re safe.”
With that, Du Hengyan gently removed the remaining clothes from her body.
“I can do it myself,” Chi Mu Jiu stammered, her voice so soft it seemed only she could hear it. Despite their previous intimate contact, she felt an overwhelming shyness at this moment. Especially when she realized she was exposing herself completely before him; the shame surged within her like a tidal wave.
“Don’t be shy, sweetheart. This is just like meeting someone for the first time; each time you see them, it becomes less unfamiliar.” Du Hengyan spoke softly, his tone laced with gentle affection and indulgence.
Listening to his words, Chi Mu Jiu hesitated for a moment. Then, as if snapping back to reality, a stubborn look crossed her face. “Some people don’t have to meet face-to-face; can’t I avoid it?”
Before her words faded, her gaze met Du Hengyan’s, instantly captivated by his deep eyes.
After a brief silence, he smiled slightly and replied, “You can, but not with me.”
Du Hengyan’s gaze was intense and profound, as if he could see through the thin fabric to the most secret corners of her heart. His long fingers gently traced the edge of her garment behind her, slowly and carefully removing the last veil of modesty from her.
As that sheer fabric fell away, her delicate skin glimmered like white jade in the light. Du Hengyan took a deep breath, struggling to contain the surging desire within him.
He carefully lifted her and gently placed her into the warm bath he had prepared. The surface of the water rippled in circles, reflecting her figure like a breathtaking painting.
“Can you come out now?” Chi Mu Jiu asked softly, lowering her head as her cheeks flushed crimson like the evening sky, as if they could bleed with embarrassment.
At that moment, she found herself submerged in the bathtub. The water temperature, which should have been pleasantly warm, felt slightly higher than what she remembered from before with Du Chengyan.
In just a few minutes, Chi Mu Jiu felt much more at ease, even the dizziness in her head had subsided. However, at the same time, an indescribable itch began to creep up her back and wrists.
"My task isn't finished yet."
Du Chengyan's voice floated lightly, carrying an elusive undertone.
Hearing this, Chi Mu Jiu's heart tightened. Before she could gather her thoughts, a shadow flashed before her eyes, and then Du Chengyan's tall figure stepped into the bathtub beside her.
In an instant, a wave of intense heat enveloped her like a raging fire.
"What are you doing, Du Chengyan?"
Chi Mu Jiu felt her heart racing to her throat.
"Is this too stimulating?"
The scene reminded her of the first time they had been alone together—just as ambiguous and heated.
"Taking a medicinal bath can be itchy; you shouldn't scratch it. I don't want my lady to suffer."
Du Chengyan's voice was hoarse, yet he restrained himself from taking further action. Instead, he wrapped his arms around her and gently rubbed her back with a towel.
"Is this better? Do you feel less itchy?"
She nodded in response.
"Why are you so good to me, Du Chengyan?"
Chi Mu Jiu's voice trembled slightly.
"Because my lady deserves it. Be good now, my darling; I will only love you more and more."
His tenderness was like flowing water, and she felt her cheeks flush.
"Kiss me."
"Be good; it's best not to right now; I might not be able to hold back."
"Just a peck."
Her beautiful eyes sparkled amidst the thick steam rising from the water.
Hmm.
Du Hang let out a light sigh, conceding.
"Don't touch what you shouldn't."
