"Be good, there are people outside."
He suppressed his desire and lowered his voice.
Someone looked puzzled.
The restless hands immediately froze in place.
"I had the sheets changed so you can sleep more soundly," Du Hengyan explained gently. His main concern was the possibility of allergens on the old sheets affecting her sleep quality and making her uncomfortable. He couldn't rest easy without changing the duvet cover.
"Will it be contagious?" she asked cautiously, a hint of tension in her voice.
"It won't," he replied calmly, alleviating her worries.
"Okay." After receiving a reassuring answer, she let out a small sigh of relief.
However, just then, the hand that had just stopped began to stir again.
"Didn't I say not to move around?" The man inhaled sharply, unable to help but softly reprimand her.
"It's not illegal to touch a little, right? Don't be so stingy."
Du Hengyan knew all too well what was going on in her mind. With someone outside, he naturally wouldn't go too far.
"Touch up here."
Du Hengyan guided her hand to rest on his shoulder while continuing to gently wipe her back with a towel.
"Is it here or here? Abs or chest?"
"Of course it's here."
He kissed her.
In the suite, his subordinates were busy disinfecting and changing the bed linens.
In the bathroom, he and she were busy.
When he opened his eyes again, the sun was shining brightly outside, and the sky was clear. Du Hengyan was comfortably seated on the sofa, sipping fragrant tea. Noticing that the charming little beauty on the bed had stirred slightly, he immediately set down his teacup and walked over to her.
"Feeling better?" he asked with concern, extending his arms to gently pull the half-asleep beauty into his embrace. He carefully examined her back and noticed that the annoying red spots had faded significantly. Then, he cautiously touched her forehead, confirming that her temperature had returned to normal before he let out a slight sigh of relief.
"Has the betting game started yet?" the little beauty murmured to herself.
"Tsk, you really have quite a gambling habit!" Du Hengyan feigned an angry expression. The first thing she asked upon waking was about the betting game, completely ignoring him. He had been anxious all night, unable to sleep, fearing she would fall ill again like before with persistent high fevers.
Sensing the hint of bitterness in his tone, Zhi Mu Jiu quickly leaned closer to him and sweetly said, "Don't be angry. Your beauty will help you win the game; all winnings will be yours, okay?"
Hearing her coaxing words lightened Du Hengyan's mood considerably.
"Sure," he replied softly. "Now let’s get my precious cleaned up; I’ve already prepared your clothes."
"We need to hurry; otherwise, it won’t be fun if we’re late. I still want to play with that dog-human," Zhi Mu Jiu mumbled with a mouthful of toothpaste as she brushed her teeth.
After getting ready, Ling Yun was already waiting at the door.
