Kori's lips twitched uncontrollably, but his gaze kept darting back to the two figures across from him—Chimu Jiu and Du Hengan. His eyes were filled with anger and shock.
From the very beginning, they weren't targeting him; they were after the man behind him.
This fugitive Chinese criminal.
But how could Du Hengan have any connections with the Chinese authorities?
Could it be that this woman is an undercover agent?
A whirlwind of speculation churned in his mind. He felt as if he had fallen into a meticulously crafted trap, one that had been quietly laid the moment he decided to collaborate with this drug dealer.

As he watched the figure disappear into the distance, Chi Mu Jiu finally felt a weight lift from her heart. With the person in hand, half of her mission was complete. Now, it was time to coordinate with Du Heng Yan on the next steps.
"Mr. Corey, are you going to place another bet on this third round?" Chi Mu Jiu asked with a smile in her beautiful eyes.
"No more bets, no more bets! I didn't expect that even a beauty by Boss Du's side would be a master at gambling! Hahaha!" Corey laughed, deliberately using his not-so-fluent Mandarin to join in the amusement.
Such a great opportunity—how could he not recognize its worth and continue betting? This woman had impressed him with both her skills and her boldness. Though he felt a twinge of reluctance, he had to admit that he was outmatched.
Beneath his mask, his finely crafted features wore a smile that was as radiant as ever.
Du Heng Yan then stood up, wrapping an arm around Chi Mu Jiu as they headed towards the exit of the casino. Behind them, Ling Yun and other henchmen followed closely, leaving the casino in a grand procession.
It wasn't until their figures completely vanished that Corey snapped back to reality, cold sweat soaking his back. The cards that were supposed to be revealed on the table were being collected by the dealer, who was preparing to destroy them.
"Wait," Corey squinted his eyes, still feeling a hint of reluctance. "Turn the cards over."
The dealer paused for a moment but eventually laid out the cards that originally belonged to Chi Mu Jiu on the table.
A club and a diamond.
Seeing these two cards, Corey's expression instantly turned pale. There was no ace; neither card held another ace!
He couldn't believe he had been deceived by such a tactic!
Corey felt his vision blur, his body swaying unsteadily.
Boss?!
Boss!!!
His subordinates rushed to support him.
