About ten minutes later, Du Hengyan walked into the hall with a steady pace, accompanied by a group of solemn-faced subordinates. The hall was spacious and bright, with a large screen displaying a fantastical movie without showing any signs of fatigue.
However, the person who should have been enjoying the movie on the central sofa was nowhere to be seen.
Where is Madam?
Du Hengyan frowned slightly and asked a few subordinates who were leisurely coming down the stairs, his voice carrying an undercurrent of urgency that was barely perceptible.
Boss, Madam said she was tired and has already gone back to her room. She asked you to find her there.
Du Hengyan nodded lightly and responded with a soft "mm." His gaze shifted to the coffee table, where snacks were scattered in disarray.
Seeing this scene inexplicably brought him a sense of comfort, and the corners of his mouth involuntarily lifted into a small arc.
How could it be so easy for her to get her hands on the spicy strips she had been craving right under his nose?
Just as he was about to look away, Du Hengyan noticed a pair of unopened disposable slippers, and his expression instantly sharpened.

"Boss, that Ze Jin is quite skilled. You wouldn't believe it; we had about ten guns drawn at the time, and he kept trying to get closer to the Madam. He even said that her ankle was getting red and offered to change her slippers."
"Why would the Madam need that?" One of his subordinates interjected, a smug look on his face. "We outright rejected him then, tossing the slippers aside without a second thought."
Another subordinate chimed in, his expression growing more animated. "But you don’t know, Boss! We were at several venues, and Ze Jin's gaze stayed fixed on the elevator until the Madam stepped inside!"
As they spoke, the excitement among the men grew, while Du Heng's expression darkened with each word.
The group exchanged knowing glances, understanding each other's thoughts instantly. "Boss, if you ask me, how many capable and attractive women like the Madam are there out there?"
"Exactly! Boss, we know you wouldn't stoop to their level, so we took it upon ourselves to deal with him first!"
"If you won't confront him directly, how can we let these love-struck bodyguards run rampant?!"
"Boss, you need to be aware of the potential danger!"
At this remark, Du Heng turned to look at his trusted subordinates behind him. Danger?
In Du Heng's understanding, that term hadn't crossed his mind in quite some time.
"Go on, tell me more."
Although he was a strict taskmaster in training and during missions, ever since Chi Mu Jiu arrived, it seemed his relationship with his subordinates had become more amicable than before.
At least he had never gathered so many people around a large sofa to discuss how a man should also feel a sense of danger in love.
