"I want to withdraw my shares too!"
"Me too!"
Once one person takes the lead, it’s easy for others to follow suit. The remaining shareholders looked uneasy, torn between their desire to withdraw and their fear that the company might not have enough cash on hand to accommodate them.
"Mu Jiu, it's not that the uncles and aunts have anything against you. Your father promised us that as long as we invested in the Chi family group, we wouldn't lose money. Although we've made some profits over the years, with the group in its current state, it's hard for us to manage!"
"That's right, Mu Jiu. It was your father who insisted on bringing Chi Qiyun into the company as a presidential assistant. Now that the group is in this mess, he bears half the responsibility!"

Chi Mu Jiu listened in silence.
What do they mean by supporting families? It seems they're trying to play on her emotions. When they were making money, they were eager to share the profits; now that losses are looming, they shamelessly want to withdraw their investments without taking responsibility.
Looking at these shareholders who once fought alongside her father, she felt a mix of anger and helplessness. They so easily wavered, forgetting their past promises and responsibilities. But she understood; this was reality.
In the business world, there are no eternal friends or family—only eternal interests. Human nature has always been this ugly. One cannot test people's hearts in extreme situations.
Her father seemed genuinely concerned about Chi Qiyun. In just a few months, he had brought her directly into the company as a presidential assistant. No wonder the company had become a shell of its former self.
"Whether you choose to withdraw or not is your right," she said calmly. "Today’s withdrawals won’t just be a few; there will be many more, especially with the current situation of the group."
The shareholders at the scene were becoming increasingly restless.
"To withdraw all shares and even add a bonus? How could this nearly bankrupt company still make such claims?"
"Are you serious? Do you have the funds to back that up?" someone questioned.
The company was merely a shell of its former self, with almost all the money on the books in a state of deficit. If it weren't for the ongoing collaboration with the Ye Group, the Chi family would have been devoured long ago by Chi Qiyun and several other prominent families.
However, even taking a step back, maintaining the partnership with the Ye family required a stable financial chain. Moreover, the Ye Group was vast and powerful; they could cancel the collaboration at any moment.
Chi Mujiu didn’t even lift her gaze; she merely smiled. "You only need to consider whether to withdraw your shares. As for everything else, that's not something you should be concerned about."
"The bonus I’m offering is certainly more than what those outside are bidding, right? Esteemed shareholders, time is of the essence."
The room fell into a brief silence. Everyone exchanged glances, understanding the implications of Chi Mujiu's actions. For the group, their withdrawal would be the last straw for the Chi family. But by proposing a full refund plus a bonus at this moment, Chi Mujiu was merely showing respect to her elders in the family.
If they withdrew their shares and took their money, they would no longer have any ties to the Chi family. Yet, despite understanding this, everyone present cast their votes one after another.
The decision was unanimous: they would withdraw their shares. This outcome was expected by Chi Mujiu and saved her a great deal of trouble.
Her purpose for coming today was to acquire all the company shares that Chi Qiyun had failed to secure. With those shares in her hands, she would hold the entire group's equity. As for the partners, if Chi Qiyun intended to crush the group through compensation, then let her spend her money to bribe the next party.
What did it matter if the city's prominent families joined forces? Whatever Chi Qiyun offered, she would match it. After all, it was just money—Chi Mujiu had plenty of that. At this moment, what she lacked the least were men and money.
