Du Hengyan watched the two little ones interact with such love and humor, a smile never leaving his lips. At that moment, the beautiful woman on the sofa stirred slightly, and Du Hengyan instinctively leaned forward to support her, fearing she might fall. The two little ones also reached out their small hands to shield the edge of the sofa.
Chi Mu Jiu merely turned to her side without waking up, and the three of them surprisingly exhaled in unison.
"Daddy, when I grow up, can I be as beautiful as Mommy?" Little Qingyan asked, her round eyes wide as she gently touched Chi Mu Jiu's sleeping face. Afraid of waking her mother, she quickly withdrew her small hand.
Du Hengyan looked at his daughter's adorable expression and smiled. "Of course! Mommy is so beautiful; Qingyan will be just like her when she grows up."
Upon receiving this affirmation, Little Qingyan beamed with joy. Soon after, she thought of another question and continued, "Will my brother be as handsome as Daddy when he grows up?"
Du Hengyan raised an eyebrow, just about to answer the little one's question when Du Yu interjected eagerly, "Of course! He'll be even more handsome than Daddy!"
So full of himself, not sure who he takes after.

Although Chi Mu Jiu was deeply asleep, she could still faintly hear the warm laughter and chatter of Du Hengyan and the little ones nearby. The sound was like a gentle breeze, slowly drifting into her ears, bringing her an inexplicable sense of peace and warmth.
Du Hengyan gently adjusted the small blanket around her, his movements tender and filled with affection. The two little ones watched their father's actions with wide eyes, the heartwarming scene deeply etched in their minds.
"Daddy and Mommy are so wonderful," a childish voice chimed in, filled with admiration and joy.
Du Hengyan smiled softly and gently ruffled Du Yu's little head, the soft strands of hair swaying slightly under his palm. "When Daddy isn't home, Du Yu is the only man in the house, so you all need to help take care of Mommy for me."
His voice was low and gentle.
"Yes, yes! I will!" Du Yu nodded earnestly, her small face radiating determination. She puffed out her little chest as if to declare her resolve to her father.
"I will too!" another little one chimed in eagerly, nodding in agreement, their eyes sparkling with the same seriousness and dedication. In that moment, their tiny figures seemed exceptionally grand, as if they truly had become the little heroes protecting their mother.
The two children spoke in unison, their voices bright and clear. "Dad is the person who loves Mom the most in this world. We are the ones who love Dad and Mom the most in this world."
This outburst stirred Zhi Mu Jiu from her slumber; she furrowed her brows slightly. "What are you two talking about? Chattering away..."
"Du Hang is back? Just in time! I have something to tell you. I'm hungry; let's go make dinner!"
"Have you two finished your homework? If you have, come to the kitchen with Dad and learn a bit of his cooking skills."
"Yes, ma'am! Precious wife!"
"Got it! Precious mom!"
In the kitchen, the father busily worked alongside his two little treasures, while in the living room, the mother continued to lie comfortably on the sofa, peacefully asleep. At that moment, the warmth of family life was particularly evident.
