In the underground gambling district, where prosperity intertwined with darkness, the air in the torture interrogation room was thick with a bloody, oppressive atmosphere.
"Who did the brothers catch this time?" A rugged voice shattered the silence.
"Oh? Two compatriots today?" Another voice expressed surprise.
"The boss instructed us to be efficient; we start with courtesy before resorting to force."
"Understood. The rules are clear."
At that moment, two blindfolded men were crouched in the interrogation room. Just half an hour ago, they had been discussing what to eat, a stark contrast to the crisis they now faced.
As they stepped out of the hotel, a black car had pulled up, and several figures emerged with movements as swift as shadows. Before they could even see the faces of their captors, they were roughly bundled into the vehicle.
Listening to the chatter of unfamiliar men around them, the two blindfolded individuals huddled in a corner, searching for a sliver of safety.
"Take off their hoods," Jin Su instructed a nearby brother, his hands still stained with blood from what appeared to be a recent interrogation.
When the hoods were removed, there was no blinding light as they had imagined—only flickering flames and the dim glow of a long overhead lamp.
"Who are you?! Why have you tied us up?!" One of the men glared defiantly at Jin Su despite his bindings. His eyes were filled with anger and defiance, attempting to mask his inner fear with bravado.
"Answer my questions, or I will take half your life today."
"Kill me if you want! What do you mean by half my life?" The man’s eyes burned with resistance.
They were law-abiding citizens; how could they be kidnapped abroad?!
"There are countless ways to make you talk," Jin Su replied coldly.
As Jin Su's words faded, several brothers outside had already brought in a variety of new torture devices, large and small.
"Brother Su, is this enough? These are all your new toys," the brothers said, their eyes glancing at the two tied-up men, their expressions seemingly conveying that the two were in for a rough time.
The man who had previously shown a defiant attitude unconsciously swallowed hard, while his companion was already too frightened to speak.
Although they were both bodyguards, who in the country would study a bunch of torturous devices every day?
"What do you want to ask?!"
Jin Su raised an eyebrow at the man who had just opened his mouth, unable to suppress a smile. "Weren't you quite tough just now? Now I don’t even want to know."
The devices in the charcoal fire burned brightly, sparks flying as if celebrating the impending bloodshed and fear.
The brothers nearby couldn't help but shiver. Only in the torture room could one witness the true nature of this crazy persona of Brother Su!
"Brother Su, you’re not actually planning to use all these devices, are you?" one brother asked cautiously.
"What's wrong? Does anyone want to give it a try?" A glint of excitement flashed in Jin Su's eyes.
But then he noticed the still-wet bloodstains on his shirt collar and felt a wave of annoyance wash over him. If he had known better, he would have listened to Ning Chen and not worn a white shirt for interrogating people.
How could he face his girlfriend looking like this?
Seeing Jin Su's darkened expression, the brothers immediately stopped laughing.
The biggest taboo in the interrogation room was to laugh in front of the grim-faced Jin Su.
"Otherwise, should we leave? If we go now, these two will really be..."
The boss had made it clear that this situation could not be ruined!
Jin Su's face was dark as he raised a hand. The two bound individuals, thinking they were about to be struck, instinctively shut their eyes tightly and shivered in fear.
