More than ten minutes later, a dozen detectives arrived at the scene. The officer leading the investigation into this baffling Suicide Case was a detective named Zheng Tianwei. He was an old friend of Murong Moxuan.
As Detective Zheng carefully examined Xiao Hao's body, Mo Xuan strolled over with his hands in his pockets. However, before he could reach him, two detectives stepped forward to block his way. "Sorry, please do not approach the crime scene. Thank you."
Mo Xuan's expression was cold as he called out, "Zheng Tianwei."
Hearing his name being called, Detective Zheng turned around, surprised to see Mo Xuan. His eyes brightened with recognition, and he exclaimed with joy, "Murong Moxuan! Is that you? What are you doing here?" His excitement stemmed from knowing Mo Xuan's capabilities; with him on the scene, the two perplexing Suicide Cases might soon be solved.
" Detective Zheng, he is..." one of the detectives who had blocked Mo Xuan asked in confusion.
Detective Zheng waved his hand dismissively and said firmly, "He's one of us." He then quickly walked up to Mo Xuan, urgency evident in his gaze. "What exactly happened?"
Mo Xuan lazily stretched his neck and replied coolly, "Many people recorded videos; you can check them yourself. The deceased in white is named Zhang Tianfan?"
Detective Zheng swiftly pulled out his notebook, flipping through the pages quickly while responding, "Yes, Zhang Tianfan. It's been confirmed." He looked up at Mo Xuan and asked, "What happened to him?"
Mo Xuan yawned widely and casually said, "Investigate four things: First, the family background of the deceased in black, Xiao Hao; particularly whether he had any insurance policies. Second, the family background of the deceased in white, Zhang Tianfan. Third, competitors of New Space Real Estate aside from Guangming Real Estate. Fourth, the development background of Guangming Real Estate and its recent situation."
"Murong Moxuan," Detective Zheng swallowed hard, his voice trembling slightly as he asked, "Do you already have a clear understanding of the circumstances surrounding these two Suicide Cases?"
Mo Xuan tilted his head back and gazed quietly at the Full Moon hanging in the night sky. His expression was deep as he replied softly, "Pretty much."
While Detective Zheng sent people to investigate the four matters Mo Xuan wanted to know about, Mo Xuan crossed his arms and slowly walked over to Zong Ze. He fixed his gaze on him and asked directly, "Do you know the second suicide victim, Zhang Tianfan?"
Zong Ze was taken aback by Mo Xuan's sudden question, staring blankly for a moment with a furrowed brow. After several seconds of contemplation, he finally replied in a low voice, "Yes, we were high school classmates."
Mo Xuan bit her finger slightly and then asked, "The first person to commit suicide, Xiao Hao, do you know him as well?"
Zong Ze fell into deep thought again, his gaze drifting. After a while, he slowly said, "I can't say I knew him well, but I've seen him and heard his name. Zhang Tianfan was originally dating a girl named Bai Wei. Later, Xiao Hao seduced Bai Wei; she not only cheated but also changed her heart, breaking up with Zhang Tianfan to be with Xiao Hao. I heard they even got married later. That's all I know."
Mo Xuan responded with a simple "Oh," her expression unchanged as she turned her attention away from Zong Ze. Xuanyu stepped forward, curiosity written all over her face as she asked, "What? Do you have unique insights into these two suicide cases? Share them so we can discuss it, my good assistant."
Mo Xuan turned her head slightly to glance at Xuanyu and uttered four words: "Twenty minutes." Without waiting for Xuanyu's reply, she turned around, hands in her pockets, and walked away into the distance. Xuanyu frowned slightly and muttered under her breath, "Weirdo."
More than twenty minutes later, Xuanyu and Zong Ze found Mo Xuan in the leisure area of the The Crescent Moon community. She was squatting on a swing, gently swaying back and forth with a contented expression on her face, clearly enjoying herself.
"Murong Moxuan, it's been over twenty minutes," Xuanyu approached with a hint of urgency in her voice. "What clues have you discovered? Tell me quickly!"
Mo Xuan tilted her head slightly and glanced at Xuanyu and Zong Ze out of the corner of her eye but remained silent, continuing to enjoy her swing. At that moment, someone hurriedly approached from a distance, calling out loudly as they walked: "Murong Moxuan, I've brought the materials you requested." It was Detective Zheng.
With a swift motion, Mo Xuan pushed off the swing and jumped down gracefully. After steadying herself on the ground, she leisurely walked up to Detective Zheng and took the materials he had brought. She quickly scanned through them before handing them back to him. Meanwhile, Xuanyu and Zong Ze had also stepped closer to Mo Xuan and Detective Zheng.
Xuanyu asked in astonishment, "Murong Moxuan, what did you ask this police officer to investigate? How much do you already know about those two suicide cases?"
Mo Xuan licked her lips and replied with an expressionless face, "Everything."
"What?" Xuanyu's eyes widened in disbelief as her mouth fell slightly open.
"Everything is obvious; there’s no suspense," Mo Xuan took a deep breath, confidence shining in her eyes as she continued, "Now let's start solving the mystery."
