Li Mengni's breath gently rose and fell in my ear, her fingers tracing fiery lines across my back. I closed my eyes, allowing her body to engulf me. In that moment, I seemed to forget all my worries, lost in the pleasure of the flesh.
But I knew this was just a temporary escape.
The next morning, when I woke up, Li Mengni had already left. The scent of her perfume lingered in the room, faint yet unsettling. I picked up my phone and saw an unread message: "Noon at the Basketball Court."
Signed: Wang Jingya.
I stared at the screen, my heart racing. Wang Jingya, the girl who had once treated me coldly, was now the one reaching out to meet me. I didn't know what she was up to, but I knew I had to go.
At noon, I arrived punctually at the Basketball Court. Wang Jingya stood in the center of the court, holding a delicate bento box. She wore a white dress today, its hem swaying gently, accentuating her slender waist and long legs. Her long hair cascaded over her shoulders, and there was a hint of warmth in her gaze.
"You came," she said with a smile, her voice soft like a breeze.
I nodded and approached her. "Is there something you need?"
Wang Jingya handed me the bento box. "This is a nutritious meal I made for you. You've been training hard lately; you should take good care of yourself."
I took the bento box and felt the warmth of her fingertips, a flutter stirring in my heart. There was an air of expectation in Wang Jingya's eyes as if she were waiting for my response.
"Thank you," I said softly, feeling a mix of emotions inside.
Wang Jingya smiled slightly and turned to leave. Her silhouette appeared especially graceful under the sunlight, like a painting. I stood there watching her retreating figure, filled with confusion.
In the afternoon, I went to a café to unwind. Just as I sat down, Li Jiali appeared before me. She wore a red fitted dress that showcased her voluptuous figure perfectly. Her breasts were prominent, her hips rounded, and her waist slim; every step she took was enticing.
"Liu Chunfeng," she approached me with a teasing glint in her eyes. "I have something to tell you."
I looked up at her. "What is it?"
Li Jiali leaned down, her chest nearly brushing against my face as her breath tickled my ear. "I like you."
I froze, my heart racing. Li Jiali's gaze was filled with intensity, as if she intended to devour me whole. Her fingers lightly grazed my cheek, leaving behind a trail of heat.
"I know you have a girlfriend," she said softly, "but I don't care."
I looked at her, feeling a swirl of emotions. Li Jiali's boldness made me uneasy, yet her allure was impossible to resist.
"I..." I opened my mouth but couldn't find the words.
Li Jiali smiled and turned to leave. Her silhouette under the café lights was particularly enchanting, like a dangerous fairy.
That evening, as I strolled through campus, I suddenly heard the sound of crying. Following the noise, I saw Zhao Wanting sitting on a bench, her head lowered and shoulders trembling slightly. She wore a black dress that swayed gently, accentuating her slender waist and long legs. Her long hair cascaded over her shoulders, and there was a hint of fragility in her eyes.
"What's wrong?" I approached her and asked softly.
Zhao Wanting looked up, her eyes filled with helplessness. "I... I've run into some trouble."
Seeing her like this stirred my compassion. Zhao Wanting's gaze was filled with vulnerability, like an injured little bird. Her fingers gently grasped my arm, seeking comfort.
"Can you help me?" she asked quietly, her voice tinged with desperation.
I nodded, though my heart felt conflicted. Zhao Wanting's display of weakness made me uneasy, yet her fragility compelled me to offer support.
"Okay," I said softly, "I'll help you."
Zhao Wanting smiled faintly, gratitude shining in her eyes. Her fingers brushed against my arm, sending a warm sensation through me.
I gazed at her, my heart racing. Zhao Wanting's vulnerability stirred something within me that was hard to ignore.
The next day during practice at the basketball court, I suddenly heard raised voices. Looking over, I saw Wang Jingya, Li Jiali, and Zhao Wanting standing at the edge of the court, glaring at each other. Their eyes were filled with hostility, as if a war could break out at any moment.
"What are you all doing?" I approached them and asked quietly.
Wang Jingya turned to me, anger flashing in her eyes. "Liu Chunfeng, who do you really like?"
I froze, my heart racing. Wang Jingya's gaze was piercing, as if she wanted to see straight through me. Li Jiali and Zhao Wanting also looked at me with anticipation in their eyes.
"I..." I opened my mouth but didn't know what to say.
Wang Jingya's eyes held a hint of disappointment as she turned to leave. Li Jiali and Zhao Wanting shot me a glare before following suit. I stood there, watching their retreating figures, filled with helplessness.
That evening, I drank with Lu Wei and Fang Zhiqiang. Lu Wei patted my shoulder and laughed, "Liu Chunfeng, you're really lucky, having three beautiful women all around you."
I forced a smile, feeling a mix of emotions. Fang Zhiqiang chimed in, "Yeah, you’re quite fortunate, but be careful not to get burned by playing with fire."
I nodded, but unease settled in my heart. I knew I had fallen into a gentle trap from which I couldn't escape.
"What should I do?" I whispered, overwhelmed by confusion.
Lu Wei and Fang Zhiqiang exchanged glances and chuckled, "You really don’t know how to appreciate your good fortune."
I sighed again, feeling a sense of resignation. I knew I had to make a choice, but I didn't know who to choose.
Just then, my phone vibrated suddenly. It was a message from an unknown number: "I know your secret and that Li Mengni is investigating you. If you want to know the truth, meet me at the Old Gymnasium tomorrow at noon."
Signed: Wang Jingya.
I stared at the screen, a chill running down my spine. Where would this game lead me?
